Hi fellow mongers, headed to Thailand in a month or so and looking for some logistical advise. Need to get from BKK to Pattaya. Thinking of just renting a taxi. Does anyone have a recommendations?
Then, will fly from Pattaya to Phuket. Phuket back to BKK. A friend told me it's cheaper to not buy airline tix in advance. Just go to airport and by tix the day of. Does that make sense?
Thanks in advance

Just get a taxi at the airport if you mean coming from your Hotel in Bangkok to pattaya you can ask the Hotel or go to them little tourist boofs that are around hope this helps.

you should buy plane tickets in advance. i think your friend got a little mixed up on his advice. in the past, trying to buy a ticket online for a route like pattaya to phuket would be more expensive than buying it once you arrive in thailand. once in country, you use a local travel agent but definitely not wait for day of flight. in any case, i'm pretty sure those days are over. i assume you'll go with bangkok airways from UTP to HKT. maybe other airlines have started on the route not sure.
you should clarify your starting position for the trip to pattaya. airport or bangkok hotel.
