Hello,
Going back to BK and Pattaya in April.
I went a few years back in Jun and it seemed dead....
Is April going to be the same?
Should I wait til November

In Bangkok nana plaza and soi cowboy can be busy, pattaya walking street has got that busy atmosphere because of tourists than theres soi 6 and soi buakhow.
When you do go get us a report on places you go as I won't be able to go to the land of smiles this year.

November - February are best for weather, just avoid peak times like Chinese New Year (Golden Week) and the Thai national holidays, when everything bar-related shuts down at midnight on the day of and doesn't reopen until regular times the day after. Thai New Year is in April, and while everything is open, you might not be thrilled with everyone spraying water at everyone else.

Something to note is that Coronavirus has led to a block of Chinese tourist groups by their government to reduce the spread of this disease. I hear that a lot of businesses are hurting as the Thai's have kowtowed to them to get the business, flights are cheaper from some countries and hotels are finally dropping their prices.
Songkran starts April 13 and can last for a week filled with super soakers, I read that authorities are trying to rein it in due to water shortages but how much can they do.
