going to samui for around l0 days, need a room with a/c close to the action both in lamai and chaweng around the l000 baht range. a girl friendly hotel.

also koh chang, going their with a girl, mainly an exploration trip for business, any idea of inexpensive hotels?

I rented a bike as soon as I got off the ferry. I cruised the hotel district until I found what I wanted, retrieved my gear and took it easy.

My first girl took me to her place to change that first night. She was paying a pitance a month for a big clean room. It wasn't *on* the beach, but close enough (I mean come on, where can you get a room right on the beach anyway?). Had I met her early, I could have shacked up with her for a day or more.

Shop around, there are great deals to be had so long as you're willing to do some footwork.

The dive tours leave REALLY early in the morning.
