I cannot provide much info on Annie's other than to say the prices were among the best of the places I visited, but the talent present when I visited was below the Gato standard. Also selection is incredibly limited when compared to Atami, Darlings, Juliettas? and most of the other places I visited.

I have heard, though, that service is consistently good at Annie's and the Gato standard is pretty high as Athos and Xenono will attest.

The establishment is pretty small and reminded me of a friendly and fun little bar.

Of the nine massage parlors I visited, Annie's had the best prices but the worst and smallest selection. The others were Atami, Darlings, Julietta?, and 6 others whose names I can't recall. I'm sure Cman will be able to remind me of some. I'll provide details on those separately.

Annie's in Bangkok

Annie's is actually off Soi 4. To get there, walk past Nana Plaza on left, then Dynasty Inn, then BusStop on right. You'll soon come to a gate on right which marks entrance to Raja Hotel. Walk in and straight ahead you'll see small sign for Annies.

Annies has long standing rep for being popular for decent lineup at bargain prices. I have never tried as never seen lady suiting my taste there.

You can ask for and get anal at Annies. Request a girl who'll 'do everything' at the counter as you're buying your first drink.

Not Miss Thailand by any means, but Lek, #32, performs. #12, A-e, told me she's a pro and will suck for a solid hour if that's what it takes. She meant it, nice girl too.

Don't pay for the VIP rooms (B2000, maybe 2 hrs vs. 90 minutes normally). There's nothing there that's worth it, better decor and a VCR you won't be watching unless you're wacko (it's not in the bedroom).

Girls are not consistently good, you've got to sample.

Open in the afternoon, and as I last heard it (Sept 2001), actually a 24-hour place. Go to the resto down below after 12 midnight, indicate that you want to go up. The owner, Ay, told me there's a girl on duty (ie, asleep at the phone) all the time...but I think you're limited to the few girls who sleep in the place, and if it's real late (3:00+) they may be in their jammies getting ready to snooze.

This news came from Ay well after early close-downs had been in effect in the area.

Error in my previous post: the 90-minute price is B1000 (plus your tip, max B500) - and I got 2 hours on two visits at that price.

The VIP price is B1500, two hours nominal, plus whatever the girl deserves by way of tip.

For B2000 you can take the girl out until the next morning.

Nabi Asia: That B2000 is a bar-fine, of course. You still have to pay the girl, I presume that would be in the B2000 (or possibly more) category. Gets expensive quick...but maybe worth it if she tears you up.

The very strong impression I got from the girl I talked to at Annies - the massage girl - was that to take her off-premisis I would have to 'pay-bar' B2000. I assumed that meant the system was the same as for a go-go...ie that I could come and get her, pay B2000 to take her out, then I'd have to cough up extra tip money for her services on top of that - and I'm not talking taxi fare. At Atami the "standard" short-time rate was 2000 baht, and the take-out price was 4000 baht - double.
If the short time rate at Annies was 1000 baht, it does make sense that the full long time rate would be 2000 baht.
I'd bet number 12 would be thrilled to get an extra 1000 baht in the morning and happy with 500.
I would love to test this out during my next trip, but I don't think I'm going to be able to make a move without my Thai Sweetie Pie anymore.

My friend has taken out number of times from Annie's for 2000 baht. He tipped the girls 500 in the morning/afternoon. I personally have taken out a girl from Atami for 4000 baht. Tipping was OPTIONAL but expected. Gave her 500 in the morning with no complaints.

Sorry to say, but a 500B tip is pretty generous, well, but I understand USD$11.62 doesn't seem like much to most of us. 250B would suit them just fine. Typically, when you pay 1500B, the girl is already making approx. 850B of that.

To generalize on pricing, now off of Annie's and EL's particular case:

I think, as an aside, that it is best to stay 'regional' as a general rule when it comes to tipping. I heard of a guy who during a short stay was giving $50 tips to a $3 girl in Cambodia, saying, 'Do you know what I would have had to pay for someone like her in the West?'

This argument is specious, since one is not in the west, one is where one is, and one has spent a bit of change to get to SEA precisely for the privilege of cheap and easy sex...which has a sound economic basis for the area. And although this $50-tip guy made one girl very happy (assuming the mama-san didn't strip half her of her tip money right off the bat), she has now stopped making herself available to regular Joes, sports one royal attitude (won't speak to barangs at all now) and only goes with rich Chinese or Japanese who arrive in cars.

An additional note I'd like to add is that overpaying makes one appear to be a bit ridiculous (=> no respect) to Asians, who consider good bargaining skills a talent. If you paid US$1.00 for a loaf of French bread on the street in Phnom Penh (25 cents being the going price), you'd be the subject of nothing less than ridicule...despite the argument, "Do you know how much this bread would cost in the US?" [It's $2.30 in California, for reference purposes).

P.S. to Driver: If we're talking about Annie's, the answer to your question is yes, the girls have seen it all and will provide anything you want in some cases. If it's wild, and she makes you happy, tip her as you see fit...but I personally would still hold the line at B500 for what is ultimately straight sex no matter how good or how many orifices were involved (you get at least two by default).

I've been dropping in at Annie's for a couple years now, and last time (May 2002) there was a somewhat inhospitable 'auxiliary mama-san' making connections between customers and the girls. She was very slim as I recall, a bit older looking, and was doing 'the hustle'...not the dance, either. Her skin is Isaan-dark, don't know her name.

Be warned that this is not Ay (as in English 'day'), who is white-skinned, speaks very good English, often wears black-rimmed glasses, easily establishes a rapport, and truly wants her customers to be satisfied. I don't trust the 'auxiliary mamasan' yet - she seemed to be more interested in keeping the rooms full than in listening to customer needs. I came in asking for specific girls I already knew, so this distrust is purely a vibe- or hunch-based assessment.

You can ask Ay for the girls who give the best oral, or to point out the girls who will 'do everything', then make your choice. All girls will give BJ's and multi-position 'normal' sex...you don't have to ask about that, although it doesn't hurt to do so anyway, as in 'Who's the most enthusastic girl in the place?' and/or 'Who's hurting the most for a customer? You may get light pressure to take a VIP room (3.x stars?) at B1500 instead of a normal room (2.x stars?) at B1000. The VIP rooms have an antechamber with a TV/VCR setup and a single bed in addition to the Master Bedroom containing a king-sized bed (or so it seemed) and bath. One needs to ask why anyone would waste time on the usual crappy video when there's a real live and willing girl right there waiting to focus in on and take care of you. The VIP rooms are bigger, better lit, and better appointed, but the bed and bath situation, and what you do in them and for how long are effectively the same for dalliance purposes.

Since you're there for the sex, there's no need for TV and/or a second room, especially one with a single bed! No complaints from me at all about the normal/regular rooms. Or you may want the girl to work you up with the video on, then move to the Master Bedroom after a bit of attentive and exploratory foreplay.

In one word terrible......but the service is good. I have dropped in there 3 times over the last few months. There is one diamond in the rough though. I would say the average at Annie's in terms of looks is 5-6 at best. Jeep would be in the 8-9 range. She will stand out from the rest of the girls in the line up.
