The patpong bars are being ordered to close at 12.30 am. Friends over there say order is from high up police. No one knows how long this will last.

I think every year around this time they start closing early for some bogus reason ( seems be around the time of the Queens birthday is , 12 aug).

Imho, its all a way to "estract" more bht from the bar owners.

from what I could tell (in my drunken state), the bars in NEP are shutting down at 1:00 a.m. (and they close damn quick - one second the place is rocking and the next second you are out the door).

to me, this is perfect. head back to hotel, one last drink, and hit the sack (with company of course).

i might have died if the bars stayed open any later !!!!!!!
