I've been in Pattaya for a few days already and I only noticed some sailors for the first time last night. Don't let this news dissuade you from coming now. I was here in April/May during the annual Cobra Gold exerises and Marines were everywhere. How did this influence business here? Women from all over Thailand came flooding in, that's what happened.

This is the lowest of the slow season. Many girls have gone back to visit their home villages. The naval group is helping to revitalize and repopulate the bars. This is good.

So, come on everyone. Join me here in paradise! It's great.

My response was a bit premature. It seems that the fleet has not arrived yet, only a handful of other ships. The carrier group comes in a couple more days, so this is why I haven't noticed many sailors.

However, I have noticed more girls arriving. Thank the gods, this place has been too damn slow. Many of my favorites from a previous trip had gone back home to visit, but now they're all flooding back in.

As I learned during Cobra Gold, hit the bars before 9pm and barfine that sweet one before the sailors do. Then, if you want to hang out and drink still, she'll be with you for the night.

Things shouldn't be bad. I'll send an update to give you all an idea of how tough the competition is.

As far as the sailors go, they are drinkers, so I imagine the bars and go go's as well as disco's will be flooded.

Kingjust, I'm not saying sailors are bad news. There's no worry when they show up. It's just that when they arrive there are suddenly a lot more guys here looking for the same thing-- that sexy lady for the night. Competition goes up.

Any man with cash can get laid in Thailand, but it helps if you're young and good looking. These sailors generally have no trouble snatching up the best ladies in all the bars. Fortunately for me I am also young and good looking! Yeah, right.

Regarding your question about 2 girls/LT, the biggest problem will be from the girls themselves if they are not good friends. The bars and the hotels don't care if you take 1 woman or 8 women. You are primarily limited by only two things here, money and your imagination. Well, I better add stamina to that as well.

Most of the girls here are shy about group sex. You better check with the ladies you want first, or you will be very disappointed when things don't work out to your expectations.

I was in Pattaya during Cobra Gold and was suprised how little it affected the town or girls ect... Pattaya is a big place with such a huge selection I wouldn't worry about it too much ruining any ones travel plans.

I apologize for sending out a scare. I just thought other mongers should know the fleet would be in town... I've never been to Pattaya so I was going one what one of my employees told me. He said the problems is that the sailors have too much money to burn and can effect the cost of the barfines as well as grabbing all the hot babes. They also take over lots of the hotels (sometimes 3 guys will share one room). It can make it difficult to get a good night's rest - but I guess we're not there to sleep so what the heck... (prog)

When it's busy there is more competition to get the girls you want, but I'm pretty sure the barfines don't go up. At least I've never seen them change between busy and slow times.

I don't know what "dl" means, but if you are asking about availability of Viagra in Thailand, you can get it without prescription in almost any pharmacy in Thailand. In Patpong there are signs advertising the price, which I think is about the same as in USA. I bought a 100mg tab in Patpong and the pharmacist volunteered to cut it into smaller pieces.

The fleet has come and gone and they were barely noticed here. The sailors just prowled around from bar to bar drinking beer and teasing the girls. I don't know if they had very limited shore leave, had little cash (hard to believe), or were worried about AIDS, because very few of them took women. The mamasans said that they only drank beer and got the girls all excited and would then leave. I saw this exact thing happen for a few nights.

These guys would buy a beer someplace, then walk around to all the bars with the same beer, sometimes staying only 2-3 minutes. They were not good for business. If they walk into a place they should at least buy a drink if they're going to stay more than a minute.

Next time you hear about the fleet arriving in Pattaya, don't worry.

Anyone have any information about the Flipper Lodge Hotel? Corner of soi 8 and Beach road. I am booked into the Penthouse oct 5,6,& 7th. Was thinking I might want a place abit nicer and quiter ... although the early closing times just might take care of the quite part. Progman, what you'll find in Pattaya will depend in large part on when you come here. Right now it's the probably the slowest time of the year (monsoon season). The last time I was here was April/May, the peak of hot season. I thought that would be the slowest time, but now we have half the people here.

Closing times in Bangkok are either 1am or 2am, depending on who you talk to. I'll be there in a few days to see for myself. In Pattaya, closing time is a firm 2am. Prices are very competitive now because it's so damn slow. If you come here in December/January expect to pay through the nose. In any event, Pattaya is always much less expensive than Bangkok.

There is talk about rezoning Pattaya and Bangkok. It looks like the process is happening in Bangkok, but some believe this will blow over soon. I hope so. Maybe Pattaya can be spared.

I'll be leaving soon, so I hope someone else out there can keep us posted as the situation evolves.

Anyone have an idea of what hours the transportation system in in swing between the airport and Pattaya? I am considering saving BKK for my last two nights (NE, Eden Club...) and shooting straight to Pattaya on arrival at midnight. I am 6'6'' and the bus would be a REAL drag, so what are my other options for getting to Pattaya?

You can hire a cab to take you to Pattaya.

I have heard it runs about $20-$30 US dollars, which is about 800-1400 baht.

Exit customs, turn left and look for signs. $20 is not unusual.
Check "Amazing Thailand", they seem to have lowest prices.

Attended the weekly monger, manager and owner meeting at the FLB Bar. Beer, pizza and pussy... doesn't get much better than that! Nice to shoot the breeze with some white people once in a while. After 30 minutes of Thai cursing (I think) and yelling about this guy, it turns out that this guy had visited last year, refused to wear a condom, shot into their #1 dancer, and got her pregnant. He then refused communication with the bar or the girl. This man was in some deep shit.

Personally, this is not my country, and I am as respectful as possible to Thai ways, to the point of waiting for the dog to cross my path before walking down the sidewalk. I cannot imagine life here with Thai people after you. Seriously, if I were that man, I would not have returned to that bar. His reaction (350 pounds barreling down the road along with the mini buses) leads me to believe he knew about the pregnancy. Also, I would be on the first bus to the airport. I would not pass Walking Street or collect 200B. I would grab my bag and disappear. Why wouldn't I have owned up in the bar at that point? Sorry folks, these ladies were furious, and the people they know to "solve problems" leave little room for negotiation. I do not try to deal with people in Thai (my attempts are insults), let alone a mob with connections who cannot deal with me in English. Forget it!

I also would have used a condom (I do every time... yea, every time). Come on guys... Being a single mom in Thailand has got to be less than half as fun as in the Western world. I know it's a thrill to shoot in a lady... but think about what you may leave behind you-your child.

If I were that dancer, I would have that man found, scared shitless (but not permanently harmed, except maybe for a few tatoos with the baby's name on them) and taken for every baht and dollar on him, put him on a bus to God-knows-where with nothing more than his shirt, shoes and shorts. This is assuming he has at least as much cash as what the girl would seek for support. I would not kill him. I would let him live with the knowledge that a stranger is raising his kid... and there is not a damn thing he can do about it. Ain't I nice?

On the plus side. The girls child will be half-farang and half farang children are usually placed into modeling at a young age and eventually make it to a Thai soap opera. One thing that really annoyed me about Pattaya was the venders around the beer bars. They are everywhere and would not leave me alone. I can't count how many times I had a girl on the bar and was trying to eat her pussy when I would get a tap on the shoulders. It would be someone wanting to know if I wanted a picture taken or if I wanted to buy something! It was obvious that I was busy with the girl but they just didn’t care. My biggest gripe with having ones semi annual dental cleaning check up is that ALL of the dentists including BH only have the high pressure water cleaning treatment available and not the spin brush option... Results just aren't the same IMO. I can't seem to find a spinbrush cleaning in all of Thailand??

Club electronic blue Pattaya branch above is celebrating its 2nd anniversary the 20th of this month. Tequila shots are 10B all night, the girls will be entertaining with dancing shows. Soi 15 off walking street.
