Almost everywhere in Pattaya, you can find a meal for about $1-$3. Way too many British and German deli's but Thai food is abundant everywhere. Good idea to go to food court in Central Pattaya Plaza/Big C where they serve mostly classic Thai dishes for under a buck and most drinks are 50 cents. Great coconut and banana shakes. Another smart place to eat is in the Food Court in Tops Supermarket. It's located on Central Pattaya Road and contains about 6-7 food booths serving all sorts of Thai and Indian dishes. Most dishes are around a buck. Water is 10 cents and beer is around a dollar. Other great places for cheap eats are the Pink Kitchen and Pink Lady. I don't recommend eating from street vendors until your stomach has absorbed some of the local bacteria. My rule of thumb in any foreign country is as follows: If it doesn't have a sink and a refrigerator..I don't eat there. Food poisoning on vacation is no fun and there are many cheap places to eat away from the streets open very late.

There is a breakfast place on Beach Road called "Cups" which has a 30 baht American breakfast which is pretty good. I don't usually eat big breakfasts on vacation because I wake up late, so this place is great.

Blazers good call on Tops, good food at affordable prices. They have falang food there as well (Good burgers, soups and salads..)

Rossie O'Grady's Soi 8 also has many good breakfast specials....

I've wandered through Tops and noticed all of the prepared food near the entrance ... espeacially the very inexpensive Sushi! Never have bought any though. I'm a coward. Worried about getting sick. Any one have any experience or thoughts along those lines?

My personal fave is the food court at Royal Garden Plaze. Food from all over the world with most entrees around a buck. You can pig out here on pretty much any food you can think of for less than 100 baht.

I don't know if this qualifies under cheap eats. But if it's like 4 in the morning and you don't want Thai food. Burger King at Royal Garden Plaza is open 24 hours. Last night after my short time, I headed down there.

Some guys eat the food served by cart vendors in little soi's off of Walking Street.

One vendor priced his grilled sausage at 20 baht.
