The Blue Nile Executive Hotel was formerly known as the Tropicana Hotel.

Owned by the Aussie that also owns the Blue Nile and others. p800 nightly ($16).
The hotel is a little dated but comfortable. They host some wet t-shirt contests there. Mistys Bar with those cute uniforms is in the same building. Also attached is "Molly Malone" bar and restaurant for you Guiness Stout fans. Mollys has a killer buffet from noon to 3 pm for p200 ($4).

By Xkansan on Tuesday, November 20, 2001 - 06:44 am:  Edit

Oh btw, the pool is not sparkling but one of my barfines went to get her swimsuit and came back with her sister too, for a swim.
I also forgot to mention another possible benefit concerning Mistys bar. Lots of young cuties "line-in" a special section of the hotel. They don't cruise the hotel but will hang around flirting a little in the afternoon and I'm sure they'd like to go up to your room for a while and enjoy the color TV and Air Con, and hot shower...

By Xkansan on Tuesday, November 20, 2001 - 07:14 am:  Edit

Dang it, I meant some of the younger girls from Mistys "Live-in".

By Progman on Tuesday, November 20, 2001 - 07:21 am:  Edit

Come on Xkansan - you meant "line-in" as in a line forming to get in your room. You know that's possible in AC... (prog)

Hi,
Anybody stay at this Hotel recently? Just looking for an update to see if the Hotel has improved/renovated its dated rooms.

Thanks!

By Progman on Friday, August 30, 2002 - 07:31 pm:  Edit

I was in AC about 3 weeks ago. The Tropicana is still pretty run down. If you're looking for cheap and still want to stay near Fields Ave. You might want to consider Chicago Park Hotel. Xkansan just stayed there and said it was adequate...

This hotel has gone through a full face lift. The rooms are the same dimensions but they have all new floors, fixtures, plumbing, aircond., etc. The outside also got a whole new look. The prices, however, have skyrocketed. A standard room is now $40. They changed to name from Tropicana to Blue Nile Executive Hotel.

I saw their rooms last month. Standard room ($40) and suite ($60). Both rooms are small and not a good value, IMO. I would not even consider staying in their suite for $40. Stayed at Orchid Inn and was very satisfied. Rooms in Jasmine building has free high speed internet access. If only Oasis offered similar service, I would stay in their suites.

Cheers,

Stayed here as an additional room one night. Very expensive for AC as the standard room is 2,200 pisos($40) The room is very small but everything is brand new and reflects the style of Egyptian makeshift furniture. The rooms are very nice and can compare to some of the nicer rooms in the U.S. There is room service from Molly Malone's. The Suite at $60 is a bargain for those of you who like comfort and are not concerned with price. The room is huge, modern and the jacuzzi is the best I have seen at a hotel and is raised up in a separate room. Had a threesome session here with two girls from Misty's before checking out and started talking to a girl checking in downstairs. I figured she was a bargirl and started flirting with her and asked for her number. She smiled and brushed me off a bit. She was smokin' hot and then some people came up to her and asked for her autograph...come to find out she was a big actress star in the Philippines. She was there for the Christmas in August party at Blue Nile. I felt embarrassed and left.

Hey Blazers,
I'm traveling to AC in 2 weeks. I'm very interested in staying at the Blue Nile Executive Hotel but info about it is scarce. The photo's I see on the only site I found, show a jacuzzi available but all photos show extremely small beds. I am interested in a jacuzzi room with a king size bed. Can anyone tell me if there is anywhere on the web with information about the hotel (and pics)and availability in 2 weeks since there is no link to contact them except for confirmed reservations? One post on another site had the following about it, but it was an old post. do they still offer these services? "At 6pm the Blue Nile Executive had a special dinner for 600 pesos which included a show, steak dinner, and all you can drink for 2 hours" BTW Blazers, what is Molly Malone's? What kind of room service? Coming with a camera and ready to buy the 1st round boys!!! Thanks

I will be in AC on October 2. The jacuzzi room is about $60 and is the nicest room in AC..simply huge. Yest there is room service and it is from the restaurant Molly Malones next door. Never heard about the special dinner package...be prepared for a lot of Japanese tourists as your neighbors. I think the bed is queen size but might be king...tough to say...nice bed though.

Blazers,

How long you going to be around? Where else you heading?

By Blazers on Monday, September 13, 2004 - 05:07 pm:  Edit

I will be around for a couple night, then off to Bacolod and back on the 8th...then one night in Makati on the 10th.

I stayed at this hotel the last trip and although it was nice, the pricing is way out of line with AC ($60/night jacuzzi suite) for something comparable. The good is that the room service and restaurant were excellent, as was the service overall. The do have in-room DSL and a safe. The bad is that the place wasn't that well lit and you can hear music coming next door from Mistys go-go. The bed was kind of smaller I thought, couldn't comfortably fit in 2 barfines and my big butt.

It's also across from Neros and Blue Nile and it's convenient to the Fields Go-Gos.

I had always wanted to stay at the Blue Nile and got my chance this last trip. I enjoyed the jacuzzi suite. The Air Condition ran nonstop and barely kept the room cool. The ceiling is dark and has egyptian symbols all over it. As with all hotels here make reservations well in advance. I managed to take a few pics of the room.

seek recommendations to stay at the finest hotel in Angeles City. I seek any suggestions for a hotel that has a decent or nice pool, but the best bedroom/suite money can buy. I don't mind spending top dollar, any suggestions are appreciated. I feel lazy and want to be some what close to the 'action', and want to be extremely comfortable to lounge around the room or hotel pool with hopefully multiple bar fines.
Thanks for taking the time to help.

I'd check out the Westin down Perimeter Rd...

I recommend the Wild Orchid, they've got a great pool for lounging with multiple barfines, decent rooms with internet, good food, somewhat expensive for AC--see info under Wild Orchid in Hotels in the AC Topic.

Epi

You really prefer the Westin on Perimeter over the Ritz Carlton on Santos ??
I'm a bit taken aback !

I stayed here for two weeks and recommend it. My grand total for almost two weeks was a paltry $630.00 and change. The staff is great and the female clerks are funny. They're always joking around with you. As an added bonus, many of the girls who work in the Blue Nile and Blue Nile Executive Club live upstairs above the swimming pool bar. You can see their cots from the swimming pool. We were swimming one day and the live-in girls were showing us their tits and flashing us. You're also treated to a steady procession of bar girls walking down the steps of this live in area, as they walk past the pool to the shower area. Most of them are wrapped in a towel. Some of them hung out by the pool bar and flirted with us. One of my buddies took one of the chicks up to his room. So you're basically being treated to a steady supply of ass. Day or night. On our last night here, a monger barfined at least 25 girls from Misty's bar and they had a wild pool party. The girls were yelling and throwing each other into the pool. Many of them were in their underwear, or their white t-shirts were soaking wet and left little to the imagination. They asked us to jump in the pool with them and one of my friends accepted their invitation. We always ended our night at Misty's with our barfine girls because we could get stinkin' drunk and then walk back to the Blue Nile to call it a night. This hotel is so close to the night action that it's hard to pass up. I had no problem sleeping here and the AC was good. Many of my girls refused to leave the room and wanted to stay. I also need a swimming pool in my hotel or else I'd go stir crazy. The Blue Nile's pool is OK, but if I want to use the best swimming pool in this area, I can walk to the Orchid Hotel, pay a consumable $500 pesos fine and use their swimming pool with a swim up bar. The Orchid Hotel will deduct the $500 pesos for any food and drink that you order at their pool. The only con about the Blue Nile is sneaking all my chicks into this hotel and avoid from getting busted by their spies. The girls will keep track of you and their spies will text them if they see you with another girl. I really had some close calls and avoided that "butterfly" tag. Ha!

By Khun_mor on Wednesday, June 07, 2006 - 12:31 pm:  Edit

Too bad you avoided the "Butterfly Tag" !

It's an extremely valuable tag to earn - in AC especially.

By Cantinflas on Wednesday, June 07, 2006 - 06:57 pm:  Edit

Really? Why?

By Khun_mor on Wednesday, June 07, 2006 - 08:12 pm:  Edit

Cause it gives you the feedom to butterfly and every girl knows it's going to happen of course. They do not expect you to stay with them like a lovesick puppy dog.

Believe me they do not avoid you because you're a butterfly. It seems to make them try harder to get you back.

By Cantinflas on Wednesday, June 07, 2006 - 08:22 pm:  Edit

Ah cool! That's makes sense. Now I won't be so shy about it next time. Some of the Filipinas do act "upset", but not to the extent that they take it in Thailand. A friend of mine has actually had a Thailand girl throw a bottle at him when she found out he was a "butterfly."

By Epimetheus on Wednesday, June 07, 2006 - 08:51 pm:  Edit

Can

Some of the Filipinas do act "upset"

Man, ain't that the truth!! However, as you noted, it's an act.

KMs right. Many of us note this in our TRs (including IEs latest) that being upfront and honest about being a butterfly is more helpful. Yeah, you sometimes run into girls that will get "upset" that you're a butterfly man, but my feeling is I'm better off weeding out the problem girls like this BEFORE I fuck them. Maybe they're new, maybe they want to save themselves for "husband material" or maybe they're looking for an emotional attachment. All I know is I don't need a FoB, wife or relationship when I'm on this type of vacation.

Now, there are the OTHER women that seem to buzz around us "butterflies". Yeah, they may give you a bit of "pretend" angry from time to time, but most of them know why you're there and so fulfill their roles with a minimum of drama. I've used these girls to introduce me to friends of theirs and sometimes even make up some interesting combos in the rooms.

When on my first vacation to the PI I did a lot of juggling of women. Now, my girls pass each other while in the hall, in the restaurant or in my bed. This only FEEDS the hype about my butterfly ways and helps remove barriers to your fun. Maybe this way of approaching AC does not work for everyone but it sure works for me and all my friends

Recently, my ex-gfs have been calling me a "ufo" or "helicopter", which appears to indicate a far more speedier and advanced form of butterflying.

I do agree that the last thing you'll worry about are the GF's avoiding you. But based on the coke bottles and compact cases thrown at me by one ex, I'm wondering if they are really faking being angry.

By Murasaki on Wednesday, June 07, 2006 - 10:00 pm:  Edit

Nah Merl, that's just the typical Filipina temper. :-) They can fly off the handle at the slightest perceived infraction. My ex had an unreal temper, and from what I've experienced with the local population up here, she isn't far from the norm.

By Don Marco on Thursday, June 08, 2006 - 04:47 am:  Edit

hell, I've seen pretty major fist fights break out between girls over my helicopter ways... There is only way-- let it be known your a whore and boot (hard boot) out any girl who impinges on your butterfly ways.

By Buick on Thursday, June 08, 2006 - 05:54 pm:  Edit

i believe the level above helicopter is "airport". i've had that one a few times. now, when i get called helicopter, i say "no, i'm an airport". that typically gets a good laugh and gets things off to a good start.
