Located on Fields Ave. They offer a large selection of American, Filipino, and Thai dishes at a reasonable cost. Sometimes the service can be slow on a busy afternoon but I think it's worth the wait. Order up an ice cold San Miguel and be sure to get a seat by the front and check out all the hotties walk by. The street vendors can be a little annoying but nothing like the one's you deal with in TJ. There's also an Internet Cafe in the back with decent speed. The cost is about 1 peso (2 cents) per minute... (prog)

Margarita Station appears to be the place of choice for both ex-pats and tourists. Their food is pretty consistent as well as the service. You can't go wrong with some of the Thai and Filipino dishes but if you are a Mexican food buff then stay away from their Mexican items. Worse than the frozen crap they sell in most supermarkets or 7/11's. However, their Jalapeno & Cheese stuffed eggrolls is something I dream about (as well as the girls in AC).
I actually like Kokomos food better which is down the road.

Margarita Station also has a money exchange with a good rate and you can arrange good car service for airport trips. I liked Kokomos too. And both places have internet cafes. You can check your e-mail, and have lunch while watching the girls stroll in to check theirs.

Margarita Station is a great place to start off your evening. You can go in to the A/C and cool off with a bite to eat and a few drinks before you hit the bars.

Margarita Station with A/C? Is that new? It was always pretty hot and humid in there from what I remember. You had to go in the bars to beat the heat.

I too seem to remember sweat pouring from places I didn't even know I had - and that was in the winter!! If air conditioning is here it's gotta be new. Besides, how effective can it be with those giant screens open all along the front of the building?

There isn't any air-conditioning in M-Ville, only fans. The only A/C is in the Internet Cafe in the back... (prog)

I ate a number of meals at M'ville this trip and feel this place is somewhat overrated. If you like to sweat, this is the place to be. If you want to draw the attention of every street vendor in AC just sit next to screened windows facing the street. I hear the breakfast is their claim to fame, although I did not try it. Their grilled fish sandwich was excellent both times that I tried it. I have eaten other meals here and they were marginal. It's convenient and a good place to meet up since most people know where it is. I have heard there were alot of freelancers working out of M'ville, but I never saw any and I have been in and out at all different hours of the day and night.

Yeah Archie, the guard keeps the bums out, I gave him some chocolates one day because he always recognizes me and pops that door open for me.
I met the manager, Joe or Don or something(darn it). He let me leave my bag in his office while waiting for the Fly the Bus. He is out there on the floor actively managing the place. Thats one reason I prefer it.
The restaurant is closed for Monday-early-morning fumigation from like 1 to 4 am or somthing. Thats another good thing for a restaurant to do, keeps the bugs down.

Had a chance to try the breakfast this trip and they are good. Egg plates are excellent and try the home fries. The pancakes were very good also.

My favorite meal in AC is served here. Great for your first or last meal. The Ville Breakfast- eggs any style with garlic rice and spicy beef tapas. Note: you must request "garlic" and "spicy". Nice lite but energy charged meal served all hours. Try it and give me feedback. RW

Just make sure you don't drop an "L" in the word "Ville"...

Their website discusses everything. The cook is now Filipino and we know how bad filipino cooks are. The good news is that he was trained in Thailand and cooks Thai food pretty well. There are specials every day and usually some specials on Filipino food. On one day, San Miguel beers were going for 25 pesos. They have a local fish night, Mongolian BBQ and other theme nights which are done quite well. The breakfasts are doable. The waitresses are all midget Filipinas whom give excellent service and speak great English. The owner is on the premises all of the time and is open to suggestion. The most extensive menu in AC. There is also a pickup for Swagman journeys to airport and Subic Bay here.

Man, you NAILED that description! It was fun trying to find all their pics on the menu. Ms. Spaghetti and Meatballs was my favorite, and I almost ordered that as a tribute.
I ate here at least a 1/2 dozen times (especially when staying at the Apartelle Royal Hotel above Camelot), sometimes twice a day and can only report that the food is hit and miss. If you like grease and fat, the fish and chips was good. Many of the dishes seemed too oddly sweet, though, like they marinated everything with carrots. Me no like.
And who's the joker that said they had A/C? I WISH!!!

I still love this place and love checking out the OGB's (Other Guys' Barfines) in the AM, but their menu prices have gotten to be worse than Kokomoz. Prices are easily 50% higher here than they were 3 years ago. Unfortunately, quality still the same, which is hit and miss. Still a good place to get fucked up rather cheaply, though.

I have been a long customer of Margarita station since ages ago and it had always been a synonimous of good food and service. besides the side show of the honeys that show up all the time.
This last visit i did for some reason i was disapointed. maybe the cook wasn't paying attention or who know's what; problem was the food wasn't up to standards and service was on the slow side. I just hope this is temporary and not a "going down the hill" thing. it would be a shame since this restaurant is a hallmark for this town.//
