Best Italian in Balibago! Extremely good value.

We ate at this restaurant in August because of much conversation about how good it was. We were not impressed either with the food or the prices. The pasta was was overcooked and the meatballs suffered from a lack of meat. I did not try the pizza, which I have heard is good. The owner of this place died in August after an extended illness, so things may not have been running up to par. I will retry it November and give a new report then.

Well, compared to Italian restaurants in the US, Salvatores wouldn't probably hold muster, but for AC it's pretty darn good. There pizza is pretty decent, though. However, if you grew up in New York---you'd probably would say it's horrible.
There's a Domino's Pizza franchise up the street on Fields and even their pizza doesn't compare to the Domino's I know in the states.
Lastly, the Mexican Restaurant that is considered one of the best--it's a few doors down from Garfield's Last Stand (is that what it's called or something like that?)--- was pretty mediocre in my book. It reminded me of mexican food you'd get in a high school cafeteria or perhaps even worse.
Oh well, I know I DON'T go to AC for the food.

Salvatore's was a nice, kinda roomy, 2nd floor away from the trikes noise and exhaust, okay restaurant with a decent sized menu. Okay prices, nothing to write home about but I had dinner with Progman there and I would have gone back.
But all bets are off, the owner passed away. Who knows if it will continue.

I ate here recently. I am not very picky with food at all, but I wasn't too impressed with the food. I preferred the Italian I got at Kokomo's.
I ordered the "Tris de Pasta" for 190 pesos which was supposed to be a unique combination of tastes selected by the chef. I was expecting something a little "exotic", but got a simple Lasagna, Ravioli, Spaghetti Alfredo combination.
If I do go back, it would only be to try the little personal 7" pizzas they have for 60 pesos.
They are open for lunch 11:30 - 2pm, then for dinner 6pm - 11pm.

Tried the pizza here--- about the quality of buying a cheap frozen pizza at a US supermarket (i.e. not that good). The seats were fairly uncomfortable and there were flies hovering around. I second d'Art in that I think Kokomo's beats it hands down for Italian.

Ate here several times last trip. It's OK and the prices not out of control like in many other places. They seem to have fixed the gaping holes in the upholstery.

This place will tack on a service fee plus vat. Charged a buddy of mine P50 to plug in his phone charger.
