Yea, I admit it... I'm one of those guys you see at Shoney's or Country Buffet... going in for the kill on the buffet line. Well, I would like to find a breakfast buffet at a restaurant or hotel in Pattaya. Any first-hand suggestions?

Diane Inn used to do them.

Unfortunatly I haven't been to pattaya for 2 years so they might not do them any more.

Only one I ever tried in Pattaya was at the Sunbeam, and that was because it came with the room. It was actually pretty good, Western and Thai ... nice Omlete bar. I too enjoy a well stocked piggy buffet, so if you run across a good one please post. It looks like you are going to be about a week ahead of me in Payatta.

Hey Mcdijj, I'll be staying at the Sunbeam in a couple of weeks. I already gave you my e-mail address if you want to hook up with Maverick and myself during that time.

The Penthouse has a buffet for 99 Baht. It's kind of hit and miss as far as quality goes. It has both Western and Thai dishes. One of my barfines loved it... (prog)

Tried the Sunbeam and Penthouse breakfast buffets. The Penthouse really wasn't up to par, IMHO, but the Sunbeam was OK. This AM, I tried a place on Second Road that was good. There are actually two restaurants I saw next to eachother offering buffet American breakfasts for less than 100B. And both were good. Told you I like to eat! No stomach problems as yet, and I am keeping track of where I eat in case of intestinal explosions and subsequent negative restaurant posting.

I forgot how frickin hot it is here. Ten minutes out and I need another shower. No wonder farangs smell here. Enough bitching. The girls are great, even if they only know how to say '1000 Baht', 'handsome' (a lie in my case), 'up to you' (tested regularly) and 'barfine' (pronounced bah-fahn).

I was offered an underage girl yesterday outside the Nautical Inn on Beach Road. Her mother (it appeared) said she was 18, but I know enough Thais to know a 12-year old when I see one (looks about 8 in western age). Just about made me ill to think a mother would rent her girl to strangers. I could not hide the disgust in my face as I walked away. Jesus, what a way to grow up!

Last time, I did the tourist thing and beer bars. This time, I'm here to fuck trophies. So, I close with best wishes to all hombres for a good fucking day.

There's a good breakfast buffet at the Beach View hotel on the corner of Beach Rd and Soi 2. They will even cook up special order omelettes for you. Lots meats to choose from if you're on Atkins. 95 baht includes drink and buffet goes until noon.

Tried the Lek Hotel (Second and Soi 13) breakfast buffet and almost hurled after trying some of the food. The french toast is the cheapest, crappiest, nastiest white bread that's cooked in syrup!! The pancakes have corn(!!) cooked inside. Omelettes are rank turd-shaped tapers soaking it buttery water for hours.

Not to be outdone, the Thai food section is just as unsavory with not one thing recognizable as food.

I can say they had a nice selection of bread if that's what you want to spend 95B on...

Apex has a great breakfast buffet. It has a small Thai section as well. Only 95 baht. Apex is on 2nd road. Across the street from Mike shopping center. Clost to JW Marriot.

Everytime in Pattaya, I have to hit four spots... The Marriott, Pussy Galore, the software shops and Apex (in reverse order). Although not fancy, I have never been sick from their food. They at least make an attempt to shoo flies away from meats. At my favorite hotel, the Residence Garden, the food is supposedly good, but after seeing the flies take up residence (no pun intended) in the steaks and chicken for the buffet there, I am always on the lookout for a better breakfast buffet in Pattaya.

Anyone know what time these buffets open and what time do the finish their breakfast buffets.

I've tried the Lek Hotel and Apex Hotel breakfast buffets, and I think they open fairly early, certainly by 7 AM. At Apex, doesn't matter too awfully much as they have a lunch buffet after the breakfast, I believe.

McDonald's in pattaya, methinks, do great food. Different from European ( never got to visit a McDonald's when I went to the US) I mean I've visited McDonald's in Hong kong, Israel and Moscow but I still think the McDonald's in pattaya are the best.

My favourite is the one as you come out of soi Diamond that one on the right across the road.
