I thought I'd start this thread so that we could document the various terms used when describing mongering activities in Angeles City. Some of these terms are universal but since AC is my favorite spot I thought I put them here... (prog)

BARFINE: A fee paid to the bar that compensates them for any loss income the girl would have generated. Don't be fooled by this term. Since prostitution is illegal in the Philippines this term was created. The argument is that the girl took a liking to you and wanted to leave early with you on a date...

AC COCKTAIL: An antibiotic mix that kills the most common STDs found in Angeles City. It consists of (2) 500 milligrams of Zithromax and (2) 500 milligrams of Cipro, taken on an empty stomach. You then take (1) each of the same 8 hours later.

LT: Long time barfine. Starts from the time you take the girl out of the bar until she has to work the next day. Although this has been the rule many girls may want to leave earlier. Best advice is to agree to a time before you pay the barfine.

ST: Short time barfine. Typically you'll see lots of ST activity on Santos Street. A ST is normally 1 to 3 hours, however, many girls will assume that's after you've nutted. If you do a ST session right there at the bar then it's universally known that you're done after a nut. If you take the girl back to your hotel it would be advisable to let her know that you plan on nutting multiple times, until your time is up.

SAFE BARS: These are bars you take a barfine to. Examples of a Safe Bar would be a bar that you most likely would not barfine a girl from there. There are a few "Safe Bars" in AC. Black Jack and Erotica are good examples. I also take barfines to Blue Nile. This bar is too much like a large disco - not my style.

BUTTERFLY: A guy that will go out with different girls during his visit. This can be a touchy situation in AC. Even though a girl may go with you one night and then go out with someone else the next night she won't consider herself a "butterfly" since she's only doing her job. Some girls get very possessive and word spreads quickly around town so be careful where you walk with your barfine.

BAMBOO EXPRESS: An old expression that implies how word gets around town. Today, the Bamboo Express consists of cell phones. I would estimate that well over 80% of the girls have them.

LADYDRINK: A drink the customer buys for a girl. Usually consists of a light or non-alcoholic drink. Those of us who visit Mexico know them as Ficha drinks. Typically a ladydrink will run you about 90 to 125 pesos. Keep in mind that as soon as you do barfine a girl you no longer have to pay ladydrink prices. All the bars know this and will immediately charge you a customer price for any subsequent drinks. If they don't it's typically an oversight on their part. Many bars also allow you to take the girl out of the bar after you've bought her 8 ladydrinks since that many drinks who equal a barfine.

BOLA-BOLA: Filipino term that means bullshit, as in, your lying to someone. Best advice here is to never bullshit these girls. Once they find out you'll find yourself in a tough situation. These girls NEVER forget a person, especially if he's lied to them.

PAPASAN: A man who manages the day to day operation of the bar. Almost 100% of the Papasans on Fields Ave are American, Australian, or European.

MAMASAN: A woman who helps in the day to day operations of the bar. Her primary obligation is to the girls. She will help a customer pick out a girl but she is there to be sure the girls know what the customer expects. The Mamasan will also act as a big sister or surrogate mother to the young girls who are straight out of the jungle. If you have a problem with the girl the Mamasan is normally the person you complain to.

STAY-IN: This is an apartment, either attached to the bar, or nearby, where many of the young bar girls live in. It is free of charge to the girls but is typically in a despicable condition. The girls that live in the "stay-ins" typically have one hour to get in there after the bar closes or else they are locked out for the night. You can sometime get a great deal from "stay-in" girls. They would rather stay in your nice, air-conditioned, hotel than share a bed with four other girls.

Here are a few more terms and phrases:

TRIKE: This is a motorcycle (usually a small CC Honda) with a covered sidecar. A trike is Angeles City's version of a taxi. A typical trike fare is usually around 50p one-way no matter where you go around town. All fares are negotiable but make sure you agree on a price before hopping in. The cost should be same whether you're alone or with a girl. The trike drivers are the biggest hustlers in town. Many will try to get you to join a card game - which you can never win at. If you have to take a trike try to use one that is associated with a bar or have the hotel call one for you.

JEEP: Short for Jeepney. This is the Philippine version of a city bus. Usual cost is 4p. Jeeps pickup people at certain locations and take specific routes. Unlike a city bus you can hop off at anytime. Keep in mind that the driver may not stop, only slow down.
