While getting aquainted with surroundings near my hotel, I came across The Pig & Whistle on Soi 7 between Beach & Second. Looked like a nice place, so I went in.
The waitress suggested the Fish & Chips as a popular dish. While I was waiting for my meal, an English chap chatted me up. He said he came quite a bit cause the place had the best authentic English food in Pattaya. He also recommended a place called Vietiane for the best Vietnamese food, I plan on going there today.
I was expecting fish sticks but instead got a huge single fillet of battered, fried fish. I also opted for roast potatoes instead of the chips. Included was a jar of fresh tartar sauce, an original house blend. The meal was delicious.
The English man and his friend both ordered pies, one chicken, one beef. According to them, the Inn part of the Pig & Whistle is very popular as well.

Wandering in town i came acroos this genuine English atmosphere pub/bar/restaurant. i have to admit, English cuisine is not my strong point in terms of familiarity, so i went for something familiar, ended up ordering Beef stew, mashed potatoes and an egg sandwich. stew and mash were very tasty, but, the sandwich was brought in 2 big slices of bread and the egg was "over easy"!!!. nothing wrong i think, if that's the british way, ate it anyways 'cause since i was a kid hate wasting food. i did liked the joint and wouldn't mind coming here again. also was wathching a rugby match on tv, didn't understand the game but was very intensive.///

The Big breakfasts here are probably the best in Pattaya and are pretty cheap at 150 baht or so if I remember correctly. Also a few real stunners as waitress' working here.

Sadly there's a post on Pattaya addict's saying this place is closed, it went in decline after the original owner past away, many a member's said they'd been a regular to this place.

That's too bad, it was a nice place to stop by. I visited quite a few times when my 'hotel' was around the corner. Later trips, I might stop by for the odd visit.
