Located on Soi 4 (Nana). This place has a gate in front which leads into a pretty large outdoor beer garden with many freelancer girls. This place is great because there are a couple of cute girls and no bar fine is paid. Kind of folksy looking with some large trees. Some great food carts nearby. Recommended for early afternoon excursions. Some girls will take 500 baht for short time sex ($11).

It also has very good food. I used to start by day by having breakfast at this place. The owner is a very nice Thai lady who is married to an Australian.

Anybody been here lately? Wondering if the waitresses here are available for ST.

By Porker on Saturday, August 09, 2003 - 04:53 pm:  Edit

My waitress was only available for short time. She started out saying fee was 'up to me', then told me she never went with farang (only girl I heard use that word in my 6 days in Thailand) for less than 1000. We went on a Monday and she said there was no barfine during the week, just Fridays and Saturdays.

The fish and chips lunch plate was very good.

By Blazers on Friday, September 19, 2003 - 09:08 pm:  Edit

Veyr extensive menu her with great Isaan food. All of the freelancers help out as waitress'. Many girls sitting by themselves during the day ready for business and some of them are quite cute. Almost barfined a girl here but she kept drilling me about why I spoke so much Thai and insisted that I have a Thai wife....she wouldn't shut up

By Blazers on Friday, September 19, 2003 - 09:09 pm:  Edit

typo...very extensive menu here...

Ok is this the place on the right hand side as you walk away from NEP, big gates with a high curb (short legs!)about half way between NEP and the Raja gate/ carpark. Sometimes / usually has at least one girl standing outside. If it is often wondered what was up there / what it was. Normally in too much of a rush to get to Annie's (opened the door for some heckling i think!)to stop and take a look.

By Khun_mor on Saturday, April 03, 2004 - 03:20 pm:  Edit

Smudge-- that would be the place. It's basically a restaurant/ bar. Not all the waitresses there are barfineable and you do not want to ask most of them. There are some decent girls there though and it does not hurt to ask. Many will go with you after their shift is over.
Occasional decent freelancer but there are far better places- both for food and for pooying.
I was never impressed with BusStop.

By Smudge007 on Saturday, April 03, 2004 - 06:23 pm:  Edit

Ok thanks for the reply. What about the beer bar half way between NEP and bus stop on left hand side, i know its been renovated (?June 03) never been in is it anything like the beer gardens on ?Soi 8?. For that matter has anyone taken from the beer bar at the bottom of the Nana hotel's drive?.

The bar on the left must be Charming Beer bar. Not much to offer IMO-- small place with little talent. The bar by Nana Hotel is actually owned and managed by the Hotel. It's a great place to sit and hang with friends. There used to be several hotties there that I BF'd regularly but on last trip went by just to say hello to old friends. There was perhaps one doable girl there. They have kept on their old regular girls and they are getting a little worn.
A good alternative would be Morning Night beer bar-- opposite Nana Hotel closest to Sukhumvit-- NOT Big Dogs-- the girls there are hardened pros and pretty skanky. Morning Night has laid back atmosphere several pool tables and some good looking pooying-- at least in March they did. As with all bars in LOS -- the pooying come and go so you can never be sure where the hotties are hiding. Makes the hunt more fun .

I hear there are some new bars on Soi 22-- The old Washington Square that have some real talent at present. If you are there check it out and let us know if rumors are true.

Look around and tell US where the babes are . Sounds like you are in LOS now-- is that correct ???

Khun Mor,thanks for all the info. No unfortunatly i am not in LOS at the moment (more the pitty) i am stuck in cold ol England wishing i was 7000miles away in sunny LOS. I have to wait an agonising 7 months before before i can get away again - work etc.

At Bus Stop there are women who are in regular clothes and some who wear long (I guess traditional style) dresses. I donīt know if the clothing has something to do with their roles.
Also, someone told me that on certain days there is no BF, but havenīt confirmed this.

I've got to give a big thumbs up to the fish and chips at Bus Stop - some of the best I've had. I'm rapidly becoming addicted to it for lunch.

I was there last week and had the fish and chips. I would have to agree they are some of my favorites. I also used to eat the American breakfast in this place evey once in while.

The girls have a choice to wear the Singapore Air style uniform or not. The "kitchen staff" are the ones who choose to wear the that style of uniform.

Free bar fine would be nice.

All the girls that are in the bar work for the bar, no freelancers allowed unless there friends to one of the staff or there to eat/drink with friends.

Not that pushy on ladies drinks. The girls are only allowed to drink with you not eat. Bring in some MM's Lays and you will have 3/4 girls sitting at your table.

Some of the girls are pushy into getting BF and lady drinks but 90% do not seem to care if they do or don't.

Some have expat boyfriends and one even said to me straight out she was after marriage.

Food was excellant and a great place to hide away for a few hours.

Frozenau - your assessment of Bus Sop is still accurate. I took Hunterman down to introduce him to Thai culture. The food is still not only good quality but still good value for money. I have built up a rapport with the Head Chef, who was a Hotel Chef so he is pretty damned good. The amount of meals they serve is credit to how good the food is. Bus Stop have some cute hostesses who are friendly but not too pushy. The place still does a busy trade, the sport events attract Aussie Ex-pats.

By Bahtman on Friday, March 25, 2005 - 04:32 pm:  Edit

Bus Stop is a must stop on Soi 4. My favorite is the "fish and chips" at 175 baht. Breakfast is 95 baht and a must for me to have "power". I've had some great meals and conversations with the girls around the bar as they wait on the tables. Most of the girls are real laid back and are there to work and there if you want them "up to you". And now for a quick look inside. Oh almost forgot they have a great Ox-Tail Stew for 165 baht! Yum Yum!

Hi Bahtman, hope you are well. Great shot of Bus Stop. It's my local now Woodstock is history and one other thing is the size of the place, that is a huge bar man! You need several photos to cover its enormously large area. The menu is one of the biggest selections around (farang & Thai) - love the chicken with cashew nuts, beef stew, and their burgers are made by them. Good Thai menu with the usual favourites at "farang friendly" prices! Yes the BG's are cool and it is true several I know are seeking a farang keeper. One BG there told me she wanted to get married so I said, "Can I finish my dinner first!"

By Dave_the_rave on Tuesday, April 05, 2005 - 07:53 am:  Edit

Hi Bahtman, Bus Stop is getting really busy just lately, we could hardly get a seat. I see what you mean about you lovin' the food, I notice your fish & chips didn't have a chance you savaged them! Still a great variety of good meals at good prices. Some nice BG's around the scene. This is a photo of the lovely Miss Oh...

Dave, you really know how to make a guy miss Bangkok, don't you? :-(

I LOVE BUS STOP!

By Phoenixguy on Monday, April 11, 2005 - 10:47 pm:  Edit

Amazingly, my first visit to this place was my 2nd visit to Bangkok, when Porker had me meet him there. I must have walked past it 100 times before that and never stopped in, because I had no idea what was back there. Real nice place, good food, they always have the fans on to provide a breeze, and there's always some nice lookers waiting for Mr Right (or was that Mr Right Now?) to come by.

By Dave_the_rave on Tuesday, April 12, 2005 - 01:16 am:  Edit

Hi Porker, hope you are well mate. Bus Stop is the local hang out for many a pro pervert like Bahtman & Dirty Dave! Not a great photo of the neon but Bahtman is flying in soon so we might get some more photos of Bus Stop and some of the lovely BG's who work there. When is your next trip to Thailand?

By Dave_the_rave on Tuesday, April 12, 2005 - 01:23 am:  Edit

Hi Phoenixguy, Bus Stop is so different to other places in some respects it's quite inimitable, just like Porker! The food is still very good because the Head Chef was a Hotel Chef who got bored, so he decided to work at Bus Stop. There are some lovely BG's there and I hope to get some more photos for the guys.

By Dave_the_rave on Tuesday, April 12, 2005 - 04:07 am:  Edit

The Bus Stop has been a regular haunt of mine for a long time now and currently it is still very good. I have built up a good rapport with the Head Chef and discovered that he was indeed a Hotel Chef but got bored of the hassle and heat of a Hotel kitchen. He certainly is not bored now because he is surrounded by cute girls! The food is still very good value for money. However, the one thing that I do not recommend is the steak. If you want good steak just simply cross over the road and go to Steak One.

In Bus Stop they also serve that great Aussie beer VB (Victoria Bitter) with some draught beers too for those that like a draught. Regarding the food their burgers are made by them, so they are not so fatty and processed to death, actually I really rate the burgers. Fish and chips are recommended by my friends; Bahtman loves the fish and chips. Beef stew is good, lovely gravy and vegetables, the beef is tender but a little fatty, so just cut that off if you need to. One of my regular Thai dishes is chicken with cashew nuts. They have huge fans to cool you down in the hot season and plenty of BG's around to keep you company.

While I was at the Bus Stop with Dave and Bahtman, there were at least 8or 9 highly doable girls there. I was shocked (Though not at all disappointed, of course)!

By Dave_the_rave on Thursday, April 21, 2005 - 03:22 am:  Edit

Hi Val, yeh it was great hanging out in Bus Stop with you and Bahtman. So much eye candy you can hardly concentrate on your meal man! We are due to hook up in BKK in a day or two so we might have to go back to BS again.

By Dave_the_rave on Thursday, April 21, 2005 - 03:50 am:  Edit

So Val how was the fish & chips at BS? That is when you got around to eating them because you couldn't stop looking at all the BG's. Bahtman raves about the fish & chips and did you see how he savaged that meal man? He had to count his fingers afterwards! BTW you must try the BS home-made burgers; burger, cheeseburger and bacon cheeseburger are all great. Fries are not bad too. Hell even Yanks...I mean Yankee fans rate the burgers here!

By Dave_the_rave on Thursday, April 21, 2005 - 09:17 am:  Edit

Hi Guys, just got back from eating with Val and Walter at BS. Val and I had the schnitzel with fries and salad for 155 baht. It was very good, waiting for Val's opinion but he's being molested by a maneater at the moment! The beef stew is great at 165 baht and the fish & chips (cod) is 165 baht. BTW the fish & chips is highly recommended by Bahtman, Val and Walter (manager of Big Dogs). The prices @ BS are very good, here are the prices for their burgers - Hamburger 70 baht, Cheeseburger 75 baht, and Bacon cheeseburger 85 baht. I've been meaning to post up some of the BS menu prices but I always get distracted by some cute BG!

Hit the Bus Stop the last couple days. With the Queens Birthday (74 I believe) not much else to do on Friday.

The girls there will just hang out with you while you eat/drink. No pressure for a 'ladies drink,' but obviously they would prefer you buy them one. You can bar fine one for $B400 but they may or may not want to go with you. A few there that I thought were simply knockouts. And for the price of a drink just enjoying their company is worth it.

Friday the girl I asked didn’t want to have sex, or maybe she just wasn't into me. Was not offended in any way and certainly indicated that some times she would leave with someone.

Yesterday I bar fined one but just wanted to have a hot girl show me around Bangkok (this is my first trip). She needed to go home early but certainly available for sex some other time when she has the time. Only paid her bar fine and the costs of the places we went during the day. She did not want any additional money. Hoping that the ‘date’ will end up benefiting me over the course of the trip, and I did enjoy the day.

KKM
An excellent way to see the sights. Nothing wrong with the company of a beautiful woman as you tour the city. Certainly far preferrable to the boring guided tours the hotel tour agencies offer.I believe it will indeed pay off for you in the future if you are interested in her. She is far more likely now to go with you on your next encounter with her as she is now more comfortable with you .

By Porker on Sunday, August 14, 2005 - 01:39 am:  Edit

It's been awhile since I asked, but on my first trip to Thailand I was told that there was only a barfine at Bus Stop on the weekends. A good deal, if still true.

By Dave_the_rave on Sunday, August 14, 2005 - 03:42 am:  Edit

Hey KKM, I second what KM says, that was a smart move acquiring a cute tour guide. You should follow up on that young BG and your next challenge is to bed her. Who says there are no challenges or fun left here? Go for it!

By Porker on Sunday, August 14, 2005 - 05:00 am:  Edit

One challenge I'd be up for in BKK is the HUGE floppy titted waitress at Jools pub. In March I saw her outside down the block making a phone call and my jaw dropped. I watched her head back to Jools and I went directly over for a beer, but my timing was ALL wrong as she spent the next half hour upstairs somewhere and in the back (kitchen?) area. As soon as I left she did also and went out to make a phone call again. I figured I'd stop fucking around and just go talk to her, but when I got to the phone as she was hanging up, she just pointed to the bar she was heading back to! In hindsight I shoulda gone back again and seen what was up, as naturally D-cupped girls in Thailand are NOT the norm.

DTR, if you run into that luscious-titted honey, tell her that there's some cheapskate in Mexico that's in LOVE with her!

By Dave_the_rave on Monday, August 15, 2005 - 01:07 am:  Edit

Hi Porker, I haven't been into Jools' for ages. I used to have my dinners their sometimes, mind you guys have gotta be mighty hungry to take on those TOTALLY HUGE meals! I'll try to keep my eyes open for her but sounds like she should be spotted from a fair distance! She'll say, "What's "cheapscate" and what part of Europe is Mekiko!"

By Jokerman on Monday, August 15, 2005 - 01:17 am:  Edit

Dave the Rave,

I think the last time you ate @ Jools was when I was in town. You had that Mash Potatoe dish or something?? Remember? Thanks for the info. on my Thai friend you are right on with all that advice.

Cheers,

Jokerman

By Dave_the_rave on Monday, August 15, 2005 - 03:52 am:  Edit

Well Jokerman, according to Mongerx I'm a spammer and a pimp! Ooow what a bitch! (LOL!) Obviously the guy has a few screws loose! I know most guys appreciate my input as somebody who actually lives here 24-7, which as you know makes a big difference. BTW how can I be a spammer/pimp when I'm providing info on MANY aspects of Thailand? Like you rightly said, so many guys are flying in to meet me I shouldn't worry about what one person thinks.

By Porker on Monday, August 15, 2005 - 06:01 am:  Edit

Dave, you're not going to always get along with everyone on a message board. I can assure you that MongerX doesn't have 'screws loose', and picking fights (or fighting fire with fire) with just about everyone's buddy here isn't going to win you any friends.

The girl at Jools had HUGE tits. MASSIVE.

By Valterreekian on Monday, August 15, 2005 - 09:05 am:  Edit

Dave, I am still drooling over the Jersey Bar girl with the big tits and braces. Did you ever find out if she can be bar fined? She was smiokin' hot!

Bus Stop suffered the fate of a dozer yesterday. I was in there just a couple days ago and took a girl out, then yesterday walked past and there was a sign saying closed for remodeling. Helluva remodeling job!!

RE: BUS STOP DEMOLISHED - This has been on the cards for some time; something to do with the land ownership but I'm not sure what. They will relocate close-by as soon as they can. Welcome to Amazing Thailand!

By Porker on Sunday, October 09, 2005 - 08:48 am:  Edit

Man, that SUCKS! Loved the place and the layout and the location. Probably wasn't the best use of real estate, but the place was beautiful.

One less reason to go to BKK, IMO.

By Phoenixguy on Sunday, October 09, 2005 - 01:35 pm:  Edit

Have to agree - that place was a nice little oasis in the hustle and bustle big city. A shame to see it go.

By Khun_mor on Sunday, October 09, 2005 - 04:42 pm:  Edit

As long as they use the property to build a soapie, beer bar, or friggin huge go go it's all good.

The food sucked anyway IMHO .

BUS STOP has relocated already! It is in the same grounds just further back. The staff will lead you to it but not sure if it will ever be the same again? Porker we still have Bus Stop but will it ever be the same ole Bus Stop that we all know and like?

By Don Marco on Sunday, October 23, 2005 - 03:32 am:  Edit

Now if they cook just figure out how to cook thai food... ;)

I was pretty hungry and woofed down a fish and chips after being severly disappointied in the look of their thai dishes. Fish was on par with what your see at a low end place in the states. Cheap white meat, heavy on the grease, overcooked.

By Dave_the_rave on Sunday, October 23, 2005 - 05:17 am:  Edit

Actually DM you are not the only one to say that Bus Stop food isn't that good. KM is no fan either and I know most Americans are fussy about their food, which is a good thing. I think the Bus Stop menu is a case of hit & miss, some items are OK but some are quite poor. The great thing is that BKK has so many great resturants that you are almost spoilt for choice. I just can't see that this place will ever be the same after the move; I hope I'm wrong.

By Valterreekian on Sunday, October 23, 2005 - 08:48 am:  Edit

I also noted that food quality was down considerably. If it does not go back up when the new place is finished, I will will have to start hunting for a new easy access place.

Bahtman was getting mighty frustrated, because one day they would cook his Vegetable Omelette, and the next day they said they couldn't. He was a bit hacked with the foolishness and inconsistency there.

By Don Marco on Sunday, October 23, 2005 - 03:32 pm:  Edit

In fairness, I don't really eat American fare whether abroad or in the states all that often. When in thailand, I like to eat thai food, just as I eat chinese food in china, etc, etc.

Simplicity is a good thing, but culinary choices are as individualistic as can be. It just so happens KMs and my tastebuds are usually in complete agreement.

Thanks for the report, Dave.

Bus Stop was the first place I ever saw cricket on TV. Don't understand that game, don't really want to, but what really hit home at the time was that I CERTAINLY WASN'T IN KANSAS ANYMORE!

By Hunterman on Monday, June 13, 2016 - 01:17 am:  Edit

My first NOT IN KANSAS ANYMORE moment was when the taxi from the airport got off the freeway, a baby elephant was crossing the street at the light at the exit.

By Dave_the_rave on Monday, June 13, 2016 - 03:57 am:  Edit

Yeah Porker, cricket is boring and complicated to outsiders. It's not a sport many people want to watch. Author Bill Bryson describes cricket as a game that never starts.

Thankfully Hunterman, the Thai authorities have stopped elephants roaming the streets and roads. It is highly dangerous and cruel.

On another forum a monger was surprise to find the beer garden still going, he picked up a few lady's one said he had to go with her now if he wanted too as she had to go to work.

This other forum talked about picking up university students as they needed money to pay for their fees, I've never seen a university student there, even if so she wouldn't parade around in her uniform. And anyway I would have thought a university student would hide herself away in a gogo, like they hide themselves in a so 6 bar in pattaya.
