Chatuchak Market

This market is open on weekends. Take the Sky Train to the last stop going North. The market has about 6,000 stalls and is about 4 square miles. Great place for unique items and antiquities. I found a bundle of Thai Penthouse, For Men and Zoom magazines for about $1.50 a piece. Zoom and For Men are Thai versions of Maxim and FHM. Some incredible looking girls in these mags. Easy to get lost but there is a map available at Bookazine.

Next time I will pick up the map ... was worried about getting lost in this place. I suspect, that if you knew where to look and who to ask, that there is very little that you could not find at the Week End Market.
I did Chatuchak on my Jan trip and was lucky enough to have an expert guide - highly recommended.
I don't think there is anything you can't find there from fine gems and jewelry to northern hill tribe handicrafts to textiles to wood carvings of every shape, type and size to furnature, livestock, pewter... hell, everything!
Definitely a "not to be missed".
There's also a market downtown near Pantip that is supposed to be almost as good, just a bit pricier. The big plus is that it is open every day. Can't think of the name at the moment, but I will post when it comes to me...

Pratunam Market. More clothes than anything else.
Not Pratunam Blazers. I think its indoors like Pantip.

I visited the "Russian Market" while in Phomn Penh. Smaller version of Chatuchak. Definetly not for the squimish ... due to the lack of refrideration they don't kill the chickens until you buy them. The "New Market" is more tourist orientated. Did pick up a bunch of Play Station disks for my youngest son at $1 a piece in the Russian Market.
