Where's the best place in Thailand to holiday in the late August (week of the 24th)? We wanted to go to Koh Chang, but looks like weather may not be cooperating. My second choice would be Krabi, since I've never been. Not sure if I can find good weather anywhere. Maybe I should just settle on Jomtien beach. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Going to relax, not monger (sadly enough) .

That's a wet month for the entire country, especially for the beaches down Phuket/Krabi way. Since mongering is not your goal, how about Chiang Mai?

I understand that Koh Samui is pretty good during our summer. I was there in early July, got dumped on once, but otherwise pretty good weather.

Chang Mai or Chang Lai is looking like a pretty good choice. I hope it clears up enough that maybe Koh Chang will work. Koh Samui I haven't thought about much, but will. Any other ideas are very welcome. Thanks.
