I believe this place was formerly called Las Vegas Hotel. It is on a side street past a gas station about a mile or 2 down Fields before it turns into Perimeter Road. The only way to get to the bars is by trike. The place is owned by Japanese. The place has decent room service and a small cafe downstairs with a a business/internet center. The staff is very courteous. You can walk down the street to Garfields, Nifty's and the Other Bar. The rooms are of decent size with stone/marble floors. The bed is comfortable but the place is a little worn and older...very clean but old. Evidentally there are rooms with a view of the pool, but my room had one tiny window. The television was pretty new and had all the new cable channels, including Discovery Travel and Adventure. The one bright spot of this place is that it has a beautiful pool. The pool has multiple waterfalls and and looks quite modern. There are also surrounding tables with palapas. At 890 a night, it is a good place to stay in a pinch.

I made a reservation here for my Dec/NY trip as I needed a room for the first night or two before my reservation at the Apartelle Royal started. It's cheap enough that I may keep both rooms just in case I need to have a short time hotel.

My room there was pretty damned basic after the TV w/ cable and obviously the pool. BUT, for 750 pesos a night (14 bucks?), I can't really complain too much. I used it as a second room the night I had BOTH wives on retainer. I didn't like all the trike rides, but if the manager's around he'll drop you off where you want to go in the hotel's van. Staff was friendly, but my room reminded me a lot of the Hotel Leyva in TJ. You get what you pay for.

From my recent trip report:
"I had made a reservation at the Hotel Hana several months previous when I was planning my trip as a budget accomodation that would tide me over in case everything else was already booked or possibly come in handy as a cheap second room option. I had originally requested a room for 750 pesos (exchange rate was 55-1 during my trip, so less than 14 bucks), but had been informed by email that the only room they had available was going to be 890 pesos. I kept the reservation, but figured I’d only end up using the room in a situation like I ended up in, needing a second room for the night.
Check-in at the Hotel Hana was no problem, and as I had no idea how things with Flaca would end up, I ended up booking the room for a week (though I also had a reservation a couple days later at the Apartelle Royal above Camelot that had been booked before Epi had suggested the Central Park). No discussion was made about the room rate, and I simply assumed it would be 890 pesos, or 16 bucks a night.
And the room I was shown to was probably not worth a penny more. It was painted a tacky green, had a cold stone tile floor, spartan furnishings besides the TV, small bathroom, ugly bed covering, etc. So these were the BUDGET accomodations in AC, huh? Still, for 16 bucks, I didn’t really know what more I was expecting. After dropping off my bag I did go and check out the pool area, and as Blazers had reported here before and as it looked on their website, the pool area looked nice.
Back inside I inquired about their supposed free shuttle service back to Fields, and was told that the manager could drop me in the van whenever he was around. He was outside with the armed security guard at the time and said ‘let’s go’ when I asked for a ride back to Fields. All of my dealings with the staff at Hotel Hana ended up being extremely pleasant, and they seemed quite eager to please. I’d still recommend the place for a CHEAP room or as a second overnight room in a pinch, but I can’t imagine staying in the cheap rooms like that for an entire vacation stay. Splurge a little and you can get a much nicer room at Central Park or Apartelle Royal or stay in a decent room with a pool at a better hotel.
My room at Hotel Hana ended up actually being one of the 750 peso rooms, not 890 like I though when checking in, and I never saw the other rooms there, so there may be better rooms available there for a little more money and I might be judging them unfairly. And like I have already said, what exactly would you expect for 14 bucks a night besides a pretty basic room?"

From Asia: Philippines: Angeles City: Porker's Guide to Angeles City Hotels
HOTEL HANA: I stayed here one night in the cheapest room they had (750 piso at the time, I understand the rates have gone up), and was generally underwhelmed except for the fact that it was CHEAP! The room was of a decent size, but the bathroom was quite small. The room seemed quite worn-looking, and while the paint was fresh, the lime green paint looked like it was army surplus or something. The overall impression of the room from inside was one of institutional quality rather than a hotel.
The TV was new and worked, there was a fridge with mini-bar, air-con worked, the pool was quite nice, the staff pretty friendly, they have an internet terminal in the lobby. I canNOT complain about the value I got for my 750 pesos, but would easily rate the room as the worst of any hotels on this list. Combined with the fact that it's a trike/jeepney ride from the action on Fields, I will not be staying there again anytime soon unless I'm broke and hunkered down with a honey ko. Oh, and I also far prefer hotels with in-room safes, just to be extra careful about being able to lock up my cash on hand/wallet.
Strengths: Cheap. Nice pool. 24-hr restaurant, internet in lobby.
Weaknesses: Too far away. Room décor depressing.
Recommendation: If you don't mind being a bit far away from the bar action and don't mind a dreary looking room, Hotel Hana makes a good budget hotel option.
