New Hotel on Soi 13. Was Japanese owned at one time-- now brand new rooms - very large rooms all new furniture and great air conditioning. Very guest friendly- do not ask for ID cards.
No in room safe no restaurant only drawbacks IMO.
I stayed in suite. Great location - midway between soi 8 bars and walking street 1 minute walk to Tahitian Queen go go for daytime fun. Right at Beach and Soi 13 for orientation of hotel location.

Is this the standard or deluxe and does the balcony have a view?

Blazers
This is the suite but the delux room was very large and quite nice as well. The balcony and the living room had very good ocean views-- pic to be sent.
I believe you love the TQ-- it is literally half a block away !!

Great job in posting photos. SS is all booked for December and they only have standard and suites. I've asked for a suite with a seaview but they only have suites on the other side. Contemplating between jr. suites (new building) in Dynasty Resort or suites in Sandy Springs.
Cheers,

Just spent 10 days in a suite. The suite is really too big and not laid out that well. It is also a little expensive for Pattaya (2500B/nite). Nevertheless, I really liked the hotel. The staff was friendly (although language skills of some of the ladies at the front desk need improvement), the facilities are new and the location is great (not too close to the action). Across the street, there is a beauty salon for haircuts, manicures, etc. and a massage place.
Would happily stay there again.

Heres pictures of the deluxe room. Also, I paid 1200 Baht for this deluxe room when I arrived without a reservation. Making a reservation on the web site would have been 1500 Baht so I saved by not having a reservation. But of course without a reservation you run the risk of them not having a room.

Stayed in the suite at 2500 baht over the web. I really like the place. Only drawback for me is the lack of an in-room safe. Plenty of restaurants within easy walking distance including the Venitian on Second Road. Quiet, no hassels, good staff, great locale, appropriately upscale. Coffee at the bar sucks, but nobody in Pattaya has good coffee.

Sandy Spring is a very nice hotel. One of the places I would definitely recommend in Pattaya. If they have what you are looking for - go for it .

Standard room is 1290B a night. I'm at the bar in the lobby now using free wireless connection. I'm getting 24mps.
Currently, they are installing wireless throughout the hotel (2nd and 3rd floor so far)
I like same day service on laundry (In by 10am back by 4pm)
decent pool on 3rd floor.
I'd reccomend this place for location and value.

I've stayed at Sandy Spring in January, May and September. Each time I had to pick up weak Wifi from other buildings. I love the location, service, rooms.
I have a reservation at Sandy Springs for 12/15/06 to 1/15/07. I also made a reservation at Bella Villa Prima. I need to cancel one of the two I've never stayed at Bella Villa Prima, but I've heard good things about it and that it has good Wifi. I was going to cancel Sandy Springs, but would change my mind if I knew that they would have good Wifi installed by my visit.
Any further info that you or anyone else can give would be appreciated.
Thanks

Gurock1
I stayed at the Bella Villa Prima in Feb and although its a nice hotel I don't feel the need to stay there again. In Feb it did not have Wifi installed and the food was really bad. It also has a ground floor swimming pool that because of the surrounding buildings is in perpetual shade. The rooms are a fair size, nice and clean and the staff is great, really helpful. I am going to Pattaya next month and I have booked the Sandy Spring for this trip.

the other place that is highly recommended is the sabai lodge
www.sabailodge.com
it is down by soi 1, but the rooms are supposed to be nice and the girls are supposed to love the pools, i plan on checking it out sooner or later.

Stayed 5 nights. I really like the location. One gripe is wifi they put in is pretty weak. Had to move notebook near to the door to get a clear signal.
Still no in room safes.
I did notice them moving new furniture into the suites for those that like to pay more...
All in all, a good place to stay.

i think this may be my new hotel. my beloved sunshine hotel on Soi 8 has been ruined because the view is now ruined. There is a big mall next door now that cuts the panorama in half.
