So Drew, please provide link for those of us too late to view your offerings !!
I presume all is well with you and V ?????
I am indeed following in your footsteps. Have met Da's father and got along well even though he is 7 years younger than me !!!!!! Next trip going to her hometown in Chaiyapoom. Da is already talking about having a leuk krung !! She wants a leuk sao and so do I of course. She told me as far as she is concerned we are married already !!! Putting the gold ring on her finger last trip was enough for her. Please tell me these marriages can work out better than with my first Thai wife !!
PS We will likely live in BKK not US as soon as I can get finances in order .

KM,
Sorry, but I don't have a link for the pics. They were just some rather scary(as in hard to identify) katoey shots that V's friend sent to her. Her friends seem to love sharing katoey pics they dig up.
Good luck with your Da! Since you've travelled this road before I would think your chances of success the second time around should be better than the first - fewer suprises and potential pitfalls.
As for V and myself, it depends on what day you ask me. She's been in-country for a few weeks shy of a full year, and overall, she seems to be adapting to the US much faster and better than I am adapting to marriage. Its been a rollercoaster ride this entire year and honestly, I have no idea what lies at the end of the ride. As far as she's concerned its for the long haul.
For myself, the lifestyle changes compounded with the cultural and age differences are kicking my ass. I find myself spending WAY too much time thinking about what my life would be like right now if I hadn't married, and daydreaming about hobby trips to BKK and other locales.
If I could give you one small piece of advice it would be... sa-sa!!!
Chok dee!
