HAWAII HOTEL

Hawaii Hotel turned out to be a great hotel. The Hawaii hotel is a four story building which is a bit more upmarket than the other hotels around the area, it is strategically located near the Central Market and costs $20-$43 US$. The rooms are very clean and large, with a huge kingsize bed. It’s note the nicest hotel in town, comparable to a motel 6. The nicer hotels are near the Riverfront and there are several 5 star hotels in town. But for the Hobbying needs. It is ideal. The location is what makes it so great – across the street from Le Cyrcee Bar, ½ block walk to Mikado Bar, 2.5 blocks from Sharkeys, 10 minute walk to the river front, and about a 20 minute walk to Street 63 brothels. There is an internet station downstairs with 2 computers that guests can use for 30 minutes free each day, all with the latest software and a decent 100mb connection. The service was very good by all the staff. The restauarant downstairs serves some good Japanese and Khmer food.

I emailed these fuckers 3 times an no response. They dont answer their phone either. Anyone stay at the Walkabout Inn or Hong Kong Inn before....I am contemplating staying there instead as they have a web site.

I stayed at the Walkabout and although it is a pretty basic place there are a lot of friendly girls and they party until about 5Am. It is very cheap and the food is pretty good but you might need ear plugs. I never go to SE Asia with out them. It is in walking distance of Heart of Darkness (2 min.). I did a Vietnamese girl here as I just can't find many Cambodian girls that I was attracted to. And another bar on the corner (forgot the name) but the owner was a real asshole form Australia that treated his girls like shit. I played pool with a girl there and he made the girl pay him $3. Didn't have the balls to come up to me and ask me for the money. Anyway the girl started crying and told me that she was going to quit the place that night but was afraid for her life. I was going to say something to the owner but she said that was going to make it worse.

Blazers having stayed at all of those hotels that you have mentioned (Hawaii, Walkabout, Hong Kong - Pre bombing) I would stay at either the Diamond or Lucky Star Hotel. The Diamond is in the same area as the Hawaii. Lucky Star is closer to Martni's

I'm a rook - what are the rule as far as bringing "guests" back to a hotel in Phnom Penh? I'm staying a relatively upscale place but wouldn't mind hobbying if there's talent - can i do it anywhere or is it like 'Nam?

I would safely say that all Hotels in PP take guest into there hotels
from $10 cambodian hotels to the most expensive tourist hotels
Never been questioned,They don`t even ask the ladies for there ID
PP is not like Nam,
But if you like ladynams, then PP the place for them
Tell the taxi driver to take you to Martinis or sharkys, Theres freelancers there
Don`t let the taxi driver take you to a brothel
There over priced, with 50 year old woman

I used to stay at several diff't hotels in Phnom Penh and do not recall any problems. In fact, some of the bellboys will ask you if you want company. However, some of the nicer hotels are infested with NGO types who will give you the stink eye. I'd recommend you stay at a hotel that's been written up here or get a second room as it's difficult to know which upscale hotels are full of NGOS.

i have stayed several times, never a problem, there are definitely a lot of different times of guests, but i have had girls in the afternoon and most evenings, never a problem, it is upscale, most of the rooms are like lofts.
