* Sophie is a small upstairs bar located near by the Central Market, opened mid 2003. The current owner was the former copartner of Club Le Cyrcee but after a business dispute he decided to make his own business.

* The bar: If somebody thinks, the famous Star of Light in Bangkok is a sleazy bar, then it is the time to visit Sophie! This bar is located nearby the Central Market, on a corner, on the second floor, accessed by a small dark stairway. The bar is small and has a counter with approx. 7 stools and 3 couches and has a small balcony, TV. The decor is very simple. Motto: "Cool atmosphere, First floor balcony, Attentive service". A few clean short time rooms are available.

* The atmosphere: All guests are single Western men looking for a ST-experience. Sometimes the guests are drunk and make loud derogatory comments towards the girls. I have never seen a girl not belonging to the bar in this place. Many regular customers. The bartenders are friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is welcoming, relaxed, friendly and sleazy, can sometimes be raunchy. This place can be full at almost every time of the day and sometimes the service is offered on the balcony.

* The menu: Simple drinks are USD 2.00 - USD 3.00, food is not offered. The drinking menu is very compact.

* The girls: Sophie has approx. 15 girls, all Khmer. While some of the girls are average looking at best, attractive ones are there too.
