HUN SEN PARK
Is this huge park that all the driers will know about, later in the night, there are dozens and dozens of Khmer girls, no Vietnamese, walking the park in pairs or more. $15 LT. Beware that since these girls are true freelancers, there is no mamasan or pimp to complain to if they steal from you or they don’t perform well.

I've seen this park, and the tons of womens around. I rent a car with a driver and tour guide (both natives), every time we roll by I ask if it's OK to harvest here and they look at me like 'no fucking way, too dangerous'.. Any truth to this rumor?

Where exactly is this park located? Maybe I'm thinking of another, but I don't think so.

Kman, the Park is Southeast of the Central Market and Sorya Mall, in between the Huge independence monument (torch figure) and the Riverfront.

I've always gone to look there, but have been advised by expats and my driver that many of the girls are kleptos or have other issues. If you have problems, there's no where to go or no way to track them down. I'd focus on the brothels and bars.

Any chance to find FOB ladies here?

The ladies in Hun Sen Park could hardly be described as "fresh".

You can get laid for as little as $3 though..... If you don't get killed.

In Cambodia, freelancing usually comes after a career in mamasan houses.

I don't know about 98 lb freelancer intentionally taking me out, although I felt chest pains one time from an unexpectedly intense and prolonged sexual gymnastics session with a spinner from a brothel :-) I've heard they had sticky fingers and were on drugs is all.

We used to circle the park in a car, like they used to do in the movies, or I'd try walking amongst them in their natural habitat. And there were usually dozens of them walking in pairs.
It seemed many of them lived in the huge tenement building next to the river, and where several mom-pop brothels are located. The park is just a place for these gals to hangout. I usually saw a couple of cuties among the mix. I hear there is a concerted crackdown these days from the gov't.

Although Hun Sen Park is not the preferred venue, it may be worth it try one of these freelancers if you have a metal detector in your room :-)

It's not the ladies that worry me so much, its the yaba smoking gangster boys who hang around down there. Cruising in a car is fine but I'd be a little reluctant to walk around there at night.

Ok...I will be a risk taker and cruise the area at least one eve (hopefully with a trusty backup) and report on the scene and quality of pickings.

Presently unsure as to whether I will risk to sample...

I don't mean to put the place down. Simply, I do not consider the area one of the safer areas of Phnom Penh. Bad Things® have been known to happen there at night. Apply common street sense and you will be fine. Not saying you shouldn't go there. Just don't wander around in an unaware state. You should figure ANY freelancer, in ANY venue may rip you off if you set yourself up for it. I don't even consider the ladies a problem. Street crime is ocasionally an issue there. OTOH it's not nearly the issue it is in someplace like Brazil.

There seems to be freelancers on street corners around this area, Mostly always on the approach to the casino near there and other places in PP like martinis etc

Hun sen park has been completely cleared for regeneration except you can still find freelancers on the approach to the casino there.
