A post op Katoey will have a functional pussy. How close to anatomically correct it is depends on the skill of her surgeon. " She " will have a vaginal canal, but will have a major problem with lubrication for obvious reasons.
If ur " girl" Loads up on lube, you might want to do a short arm inspection.
As to Patpong -- another love it or hate it place. I personally love it. I think you have to go once and make up your own mind. Some truly stunning girls at some of the bars. A little more pressure for lady drinks than NEP or Cowboy , but you do know how to say no don't you ?? Check out King Castle II and Pink Panther at least. Go to King Castle III to see really good looking katoeys- not the hideous monsters at Obsession !! The major hassle is all the Euro backpackers trying to get a bargain at the Night Market and the Touts trying to drag you into sex shows. Do not go-- not worth the price and some are rippoff joints. Just ignore all and walk right by.
And Carne, you don't even need to be buzzed to be fooled. Some of those surgeons are REALLY skilled.

Thanks Khun mor,
I am off to Star of Light as it is 1:15 in the afternoon here. One of the reasons I am here is to experience the bj bar. I looked for Lólita's last night but just found a really bad looking katoey practicing his/her karaoke. I asked him what was up with Lólita's when I noticed this really bad smell. He said that it was because someone died in Lólita's (which is CLOSED, by the way). As I processed this possibility, I concluded that he was kidding, as it is highly unlikely she would still be in there, and he was also saying that she died from too much suck suck, while he was laughing. This place is a trip.
Oh yeah and I can't get over two things here: 1) Thais really like to laugh...I love that about them. 2) The use of a previously unfamilliar term meaning equal..."same same" I laugh inside every time I hear it.
P.S. I have only two more nights here but if anyone wants me to check something out for them, I will try. Just provide me with details of what you want verified snd directions to get there. I am posting form my hotel room @ the Banyan Tree. This is an awesome hotel by the way, but maybe a little expensive for some @ 180US/night for a comfy suite and a "Sawa dee ka" from the staff when I bring my girl to my room.

Murasaki,
Really? I certainly believe you, but I haven't (I don't think I have anyway) seen a real good job of a katoey yet. Also just for the record, I don't have an interest to try a katoey, just interested to see them.
Thanks for the heads up.

Lólita's is now on Soi 8 on the right - the first cul de sac you come to

180 bucks U.S. for a BKK hotel? They better have a couple of girls in there throwing rose petals at your feet and making sure 'royal penis is clean' at those prices. I sure hope your boss is paying?
By Carne1 on Thursday, January 29, 2004 - 11:08 pm: Edit
Hi there porker. I enjoy your posts, thanks. I enjoy your insight partly due to the fact we are very close in age. Regarding the hotel, well, yes my boss is paying, but I am the boss
. So thats how that works.

Correction to the above post: On second thought I may be getting my facts confused on our similarity of age. I do still, however enjoy your posts.

I'm in my mid 30's. If you're the boss and you're paying 180 bucks a night for a Bangkok hotel in my not so humble opinion you have more money than sense. But it sounds like you're having fun, and that's the most important thing.
Actually Lólita's is on the second cul de sac on the right. A good rule of thumb is it's the alley opposite the bar Corleone's. You'll see the sign and many girls milling about outside unless it's raining. I stopped by there the other day about 10:30am for my morning BJ that turned into boom boom AGAIN!!. Ahh, what sweet relief...
E
Carne, yes really. I'm sure you've seen several great jobs by now, and just didn't realize it. There are some bars in Patpong that seem to have a speciality in katoeys that are sooooo close to the real thing.

Well,
I am back in my hometown, trying to get focused on my normal routine, but as you know...IT SUCKS COMING HOME!
Porker,
I would say your calculations are correct. More money, but the perspective is different from when I was an everage income joe. Allthough I spend a little more for luxury, I always stick to the principle of barter for service (female that is) as to not upset the economic balance.
Murasaki,
Well I verified it. I looked right into the eyes of this fine young thai, and my gaze was long enough for her friend to say "you like?" I answered yes. I looked a bit longer until the one I was looking at said "I am ladyboy." I then said "really?" I could not tell. I then dismissed her/him, for those curious.
Now the hard part. How to figure out how to find a Thai girl who would be suitable for my wife, eventually. I always thought that it would be a filipina, but after thailand my consideration has changed.
not the same same,
Carne1
What happened to Lólita's in Asoke? Is there a comparable replacement currently available??? I walked up and my smile turned upside down (instead of my frown).
Thanks! I'll find it today.
By the way, had a really sleezy-good time at Star of Light the other afternoon. Had a BJ at the bar while another girl stood hugging me with her top down, watching and encouraging the girl that was on her knees, while the other girls watched with interest -- Amazing Thailand.
What's a good tip for a BJ at a BJ Bar?? 500BHT can get expensive, especially with the BJ at Star of the Night bar being 800Bht, but if I tip less -- is that cheap??? (I probably already know the answer <grin>)

Bird Flu Found in Cats in Asia; Canada on Alert
36 minutes ago Add Top Stories - Reuters to My Yahoo!
By Vissuta Pothong
BANGKOK (Reuters) - Two domestic cats in Thailand have died of the same bird flu that has killed at least 22 people in Asia, a veterinarian said on Friday, a day after Canada announced its first case of a different strain of the virus.

Reuters
Slideshow: Bird Flu
The discoveries have alarmed scientists, who now fear the disease can spread as easily between species as it has between countries.
They said on Friday developing human vaccines must be a priority to prevent a flu pandemic like the one in 1918 that killed up to 50 million people worldwide.
"It is a pandemic threat constantly simmering," Dr Marion Koopmans, of the National Institute of Public Health and the Environment in the Netherlands, told Reuters in London.
China confirmed two more suspected outbreaks of the influenza H5N1 virus in two provinces on Friday, and Thai officials said the virus had reappeared in two provinces that had been declared under control.
With the virus spreading at an unprecedented rate through poultry, and with 22 people dead in Asia, researchers warned it poses a substantial threat to human health.
In two reports in the Lancet medical journal, Koopmans and Professor Malik Peiris of the University of Hong Kong, who both dealt with previous cases of animal-to-human transmission of flu, described why the current avian outbreak is so dangerous.
Koopmans said it is possible the virus may not be completely controlled in poultry because it is so widespread, which furthered the case for making a vaccine a top priority.
An Australian government research lab said a locally-developed drug, Relenza, used for treating human influenza, had proven effective against bird flu in laboratory tests.
CATS DIED NEAR INFECTED FARM
The virus has also crossed the species barrier to domestic animals, and in Bangkok on Friday scientists confirmed the deaths of two house cats.
"We found H5N1 in two of the three cats," said Teerapol Sirinaruemit, a veterinarian at Kasetsart University's animal hospital, who conducted autopsies on three animals.
"They might have caught the virus from eating chicken carcasses or from live chickens that had bird flu," he said.
The three were among 15 cats living in a house located near an infected chicken farm 40 miles west of Bangkok, Teerapol said.
Fourteen cats died, but it was unclear if all had been infected with the H5N1 virus. One cat was still alive.
"We are going to bring the live one, which is quite sick, to the hospital today to check its health," Teerapol said.
The Food and Agriculture Organization (news - web sites) said on Friday the cat deaths required "more careful scientific analysis."
"We also need to know what specific diagnostic tests were performed and how the testing was carried out," the Rome-based group said in a statement.
"FAO advises that cats or other carnivores or omnivores (i.e. swine) should not be fed with carcasses of dead or culled birds."
Besides killing humans and millions of wild and farmed birds across Asia, the H5N1 strain showed earlier this week it can jump to other species after a rare clouded leopard at a zoo near Bangkok was confirmed as dying of bird flu.
Reports earlier this month that the virus had spread to pigs, with an immune system similar to humans', turned out to be false.
"Clearly the more animal species that are infected with the avian flu virus, the bigger is the risk to humans they may catch the virus from animals," Bjorn Melgaard, the World Health Organization (news - web sites)'s Thailand representative, told Reuters.
"We need to be very, very watchful."
JAPAN BANS CANADIAN POULTRY
Meanwhile, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency was still conducting laboratory tests, but officials said they had identified the H7 strain of avian influenza in British Columbia -- the same type found recently in Delaware in the United States.
Japan reacted immediately, saying it was halting all imports of poultry from Canada.
As news of the virus infection in cats spread, Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, cautioned Thais not to feed their pets uncooked chicken meat.
"Please don't panic," Thaksin told reporters in Bangkok. But he added: "If animals eat raw infected chicken, they will have no immunity."
Another veterinarian said it was unclear whether the dead cats had eaten cooked or raw meat. Health experts say well-cooked chicken and eggs pose no danger.
"Although the virus can spread to cats, which can easily catch flu, it is controllable," said Professor Thaneerat Santiwat, dean of Kasetsart University's veterinary faculty.
Teerapol had also performed autopsies on the two exotic cats suspected of having bird flu at a zoo near Bangkok.
He said his tests had confirmed that a rare Thai leopard, which was fed raw infected chicken, died of the H5N1 virus last month. The other big cat, a white tiger, had recovered from the disease, he said.
The other night I was not looking for action but came across it nonetheless. When visiting a friend in Soi Sripumben (off Ngamduplee, a soi of Rama 4 Rd) I got prepositioned by a super cute street girl. Her name was Nok. Small, petite, super cute face. The only thing a little out of proportion was her large tits. We agrees on 500Baht and proceeded to hump for the best part of an hour. With some negotiations she agreed to swallow my cum for an extra 250Baht.
So there you have it. I seriously good deal at a budget price (which could probably be had even cheaper with better bargaining). She stays at the "Hilton", room 32.
Enjoy fellas

anybody know what the situation is regarding cannibis in bkk? where, how, worthwhile, etc?
By Redbus on Tuesday, November 22, 2005 - 07:15 am: Edit
Cannibis in Bkk, 50 years in Bangkoks Hilton,
go across the border to cambodia if you want that
I have heard that there is a type of Thai testicle massage that is practiced in Bangkok and originated in Buddhist temples.
Does anyone know the addresses in Bangkok where one can experience this service? Thanks!
O great King of the Foxes
Bangkok Teen massage on Soi 33 offers " ball massage " as part of their massage menu.Have not seen it on the menu anywhere else. However , I'm sure you can get your sweetie of the night to rub up ur nuts anytime.
BTW
I always have to laugh when someone answers a question that was asked a year ago.
I can just picture the poor guy logging on every day waiting for an answer !
By Laguy on Monday, December 26, 2005 - 04:03 pm: Edit
Redbus: Smoking Cannibis will actually get you a free 50-year stay at the Bangkok Hilton Hotel(address: 123 Charoennakorn Road)? Do I also get Hilton points? Now thats a deal! LOL
Actually, I think the expression only applies for places, unlike Bangkok, that don't actually have Hilton Hotels. But maybe I'm wrong and my warped humor does not apply. For want of offending someone, Happy Holidays!
Here's something of note; DM calling Nana chock full of fat ugly bitches, while some decent lookers over at soi cowboy.
Hell, the line at Afterskool tonight beat out most nana lineups.
Ohh, for those unfortunate souls abroad, any lineup is better than your local treats...

Y'all pushing me towards Pattaya in February even more . I just booked with Bella Vista Prima in Pattaya as well as Pres Solitiare in BKK. I will toss one as the wind blows just before I leave. Keep up the on the spot reports. How long u gonna be there on the ground DM ??
Khun Mor,
Thanks! I found a few places in Bangkok that advertise on the Internet--Bangkok Teen was one of them.
I am new to "the life" and happy I found a site like this with real info in real time as opposed to some of the other crap on the web.
Planning to hit LOS later in the year and my idea is bodywork all day long and ladies all night. LOL! This site is a little overwhelming for newbies such as myself but I am working through it.
KM
Two weeks of bouncing around Bangkok and was NOT impressed. One evening in Pattaya made BKK a distant memory...

Even I had a mediocre time in BKK, and many bad experiences out of Nana. I've never been down on BKK before. Looks like I'm giving Pattaya another look-see on my next outing to LOS.
By Laguy on Thursday, December 29, 2005 - 02:20 am: Edit
The last two times I was in BKK I too wasn't impressed. Although I may well visit again, it doesn't do it for me the way it used to. I now prefer Hong Kong (although primarily a short-time city with higher prices), Brazil, and maybe Germany (although I only briefly checked it out). I suppose I need to also re-visit Pattaya.
porker-- many a gogo has raised BFs to 1k, not all tho. Business as usual... Luckily, my black book is chock full and I haven't had to resort to paying a barfine tho.
km-- im in pattaya til the 1st, but I'll try to muster up a room for a couple more nights before heading to cambo for a week. Pattaya lineups are much improved over when we were here in Nov, but I've spent most of my LTs with old flings. Massage girl requested that I take her to see a "pussy show." Sounds like a to-do for me tonight
"Smoking girl" meanwhile has a very fat FT wallet, but just need a little more DM loving on a side... My dick is still recovering.
Fox- you got the right idea-- just remember that "body work" and "ladies" are not mutually exlusive during the day ;)
LAguy-- my take was that LoS and bkk never really impressed you-- it wasn't a state change as you have implied.
Epi/Saki-- agree with you both. Truthfully, coming from Indo neither pattaya or bkk floats my boat much sexually. However, pattaya is much more to my liking this trip (vs. bkk) as the place to relax, pop a but, get some decent chow, etc.
As all you vets know tho, things can change in a heartbeat. BKK has been down more than a few times and pops back up... Now it's swimming with the fishes.

DM: Wrong again. But hey, you made it abundantly clear when we met that you think you know so much more than me that it doesn't surprise me that you also think you know more about what I am thinking than I do.
LAG--
Wrong again? You seem to suffer from the same ailment that your accusing me of... You surmise a lot from that 2 beers and 45 minutes we sat down. Meanwhile, my comment stemmed directly from YOUR words... I seem to recall hearing "bangkok really never impressed me, the girls ...., I much prefer HKG in asia and south america"
I guess that conversation was my imagination eh?
Have a check out one.
By Laguy on Saturday, December 31, 2005 - 11:44 am: Edit
DM: Your recollection of our conversation is about half right and half wrong, perhaps reflecting a hearing problem. I don't think it would be of interest to others on this board for me to spell out what you heard/remember correctly, and what you did not.
could be alzhiemers on your part also... but your right obiwan.
As someone who was not present for the conversation , I feel emminently qualified to render a neutral opinion.
I think you both make valid points. DM is likely right in regards to what he recalls . Laguy is also likely equally right in what he recalls. Perception equals reality in this case .
I vote we move on and agree that BKK is in a downward slide at the moment. While this is a condition that is easily reversed and probably will be soon ,I am voting with my toes and will spend my LOS week in March in the Sois of Pattaya . 6 during the daytime - 2,3,7,8 for the night and early morning hours , IF Walking Street lets me down - which I doubt highly !!
By Fenris on Wednesday, January 04, 2006 - 09:30 pm: Edit
Cool! Now that it's settled about reality and memory: what of the future? Any predictions about BKK sliding back up before I get there on the 23rd? I'll have a room at the Solitaire with a jacuzzi. You make it sound like all of the hotties are leaving for Pattaya. All that will be left in BKK will be fat old katoeys? What's an Hombre to do?
Fenris
The hotties should be back at work by then as their ATM's should be back in Europe or they will be tapped out - drained by Momma and Poppa while back in Issan visiting for the holidays.
I would not worry. Methinks the talk of the low quality is likely a bit overstated. I have never had a night in BKK when I could not find anyone suitable for doin the nasty. That does not mean Pattaya might not have a better lineup - just BKK cannot be that bad.
(Message edited by Khun_Mor on January 05, 2006)
Trust KM, here, Fenris. I live in Bangkok. 7 nights a week, 52 weeks a year, you can find a good looking woman with a great body, here, willing to take care of you. If you have patience and conduct yourself politely, you can usually find an extremely attractive young woman to take care of business. And that's just in the traditional nightlife venues. Then there are the massage parlors...and the member clubs...and Titanium...and the discos...etc, etc...

Hi Mano, good to hear from you. Believe me the Rainbow bars are smoking hot! RB-1, RB-2, RB-4 have great line-ups and even RB-3 has improved considerably. They have a lot of lovely BG's for sure, but like you say we are here 24/7 and many guys are not. Good point buddy! There are lovely BG's all over BKK who would think otherwise? Like overnight they have all got fat and ugly!

Same question posted on the Asia Chat Board.
Will be returning to BKK in couple of weeks so would like to know what the norm is in terms of how much I should pay the girls. My last trip to BKK was in April last year so I am thinking things might have changed somewhat. In particular, I would like to know what the going rate is for NANA, Soi Cowboy and Patpong bars (both ST and LT). Also for places like Teen Massage, is it still 500, 1000, 1500 for HJ, BJ and FS respectively?
Finally, I hear Baron is no more but there is another MP called Tulip. Is it worth trying?

g'day hombres..
just got my ticket and it appears that i am transiting in BKK airport for 7 yes SEVEN hours! what to do from 1 am till the next flight seven hours later?
any recomendations not too far from the airport? room/girl etc... are prices in BKK still around the 2000bht for LT?
SA-- ya tulip, teen, etc is 1500FS. I can't imagaine paying for a HJ so I don't know what that would run. Tulip and teen are well worth the visit.
ST Nana- usually 1.5k + BF, LT 2k +BF. If you pull a stunner perhaps bump both by 500 baht.
Mtown-- given you have 7 hours, not counting customs, taxi, picking a girl, showering, etc-- I would say your in the market for a ST. Just get a cheap room somewhere like Dynasty (25 bucks) and hit Sukhumvit at 1:30AM, which is prime hunting time. Perhaps, you can fit in 2 STs. For an 8AM departure leave Sukhumvit at 5:20AM.

hi don.. thanks.. yes you are right.. dynasty sounds like a goer.. heading to saigon from there so will try to post something about it from there...
Bangkok for a weekend two weeks ago (Apr 2006).
At Nana Entertainment Plaza (NEP), beer price was up to 125 baht. Exchange rate was down to 37.75 baht per US$50 or $100 bill.
Katoy mama-san's in several clubs brought a girl to me without my asking and of course a girl who was not my type, and then pressured me for lady drinks for the the girl, mama-san, and waitress. One mama-san even showed me a menu card that read: 600 baht for bar fine, 1,500 baht for short time, 3,000 baht for long time, and 300 baht for a room.
Angelwitch had fairly decent shows.
NEP did not have any girl who turned me on. Same at Soi Cowboy, where I enjoyed the happy hour. But, I caught a taxi on Soi Asoke in front of Soi Cowboy and the driver could not pull over to the right to make a right onto Sukhumvit. Instead, he turned left, then a U-turn, but it took about 20 minutes due to heavy traffic and slow traffic lights before we made it across Soi Asoke again.
Maybe it was a bad weekend there, or maybe I was too sober. I ended my nights with a Thai massage the first night and a foot massage the second night around midnight.
Nevertheless, I enjoyed Bangkok. Went to Pantip Plaza on the #2 bus for 7 baht (runs about every half hour along Sukhumvit) and bought a few odds and end, like a Y-cable for RCA connections. The young guys there did not come after me to buy XXX dvd's like they usually do.
Checking in at Thai Airways keeps getting worse. It was like being trapped in a traffic gridlock.

How is Thai airways now
Have not used them for a long time
But now managed to get a cheap flight for my next trip to LOS
By Isawal on Monday, May 29, 2006 - 01:01 pm: Edit
I was in BKK in February and I am sorry to read that things are getting worse. Back then bar owners complained that things were slow, wile at the same time their prices were go up and the quality was going down. All I can say is that if I had a weekend in LOS I would skip BKK and head to Pattaya.
I'm sorry to read that Thai Airways service has also headed south. I use to fly them in when there was a direct flight from ZA to BKK and they use to be great.
I had to fly TA direct from JFT-BKK last year and was stuck in cattle class. The flight was very good all things considered along with service.
DM, did you mean JKT? Where is JFT?
As DM's press secretary I happen to know it was JFK - a typo . He probably has Jakarta on his mind .
ya, jfk as in NY- LoS... I did have jkt on my mind as I just got done reviewing flights to/from
Intra asia flights on TA are less than desireable. Business class is passable.

I read somewhere about the flower girls around nana and the very next day I had a very interesting encounter. I was sitting at one of those outside beer places on sukumvit and a flower girl showed an fell on me, at the same time some little crook was down low picking my pocket. By the time I got both of off of me I was out of 2 thousand badt. I really did not feel him go into my pocket and they were there such a short time, but they got me. I had three thousand in my pocket folded and it appears he was taking one at a time and he was fast as I got him away from me before he got the last one. It was almost out of my pocket. The thing is that I did not realize that I had been robbed until a few minutes later and by that time it was to late, they were long gone. I just told my lady about it and she just smiled. There was another incident at big dogs the next nite. My lady and I were sitting at the outside area and it was about to close so my lady went to the toilet. I order a beer while she was gone from one on the workers there. I don't know if she knew that the beer was for my lady or not but she had put something in it and when my lady took a drink she felt it right away and was passing out. She up and I had to catch her or she would have fallen. I had to carry her back to the hotel and she got okay in about 30/40 minutes, I guess she had drink enough of the beer to really hurt her. The next nite I pointed out the person who served us the beer. She said that she wanted to know who it was. I don't know if my lady will retaliate or not, I don't want to know, I'm just glad that I did not drink that beer. All in all it was an interesting time. I really like BKK better than Pattaya, but hear I am in jPattaya and I really don't like the hotel or the staff.
So will be going bakk to BKK soon.
The Flower/Gum urchins - male and female- have been a menace for many years now around Nana. Only recently have they become increasingly aggressive and have taken to organized pickpocketing. A truly nasty development.
Most of these " adorable" munchkins are not even Thai but belong to the Cambodian mafia that exists along Soi Nana peddling everything from watches , maps, sunglasses, and flowers. At night the small monsters roam in packs around the entrance to Nana later moving to the Nana parking lot. They rap themselves around your legs and you just about have to throw them off- plenty of distraction for the older light fingered ones to take whatever they can come up with off your body.
The Boys in Brown seem to round these kids up periodically and supposedly deport them, but within a few weeks a new group has taken their place. Nothing ever seems to happen to their adult handlers.
Hmmmm I wonder why ??
As an aside, buying flowers from these tots is pretty much a waste of money. Thai girls, in my experience, are not particularly impressed by flowers. Everytime someone buys a girl in my bar a flower, she immediately puts it in a vase with with the other flowers that we buy for the bar (we give an older Thai guy a Heinneken a day for a bunch of roses). Of the dozens and dozens of flowers that customers have bought my girls, I've never once seen anyone take a single flower home with them. Pretty much all Thai girls would rather have 20 baht in their pocket than a small rose. I once read, on Stickman if I recall, that Thai girls aren't particularly impressed with flowers because "you can't eat a flower." I think there's alot of truth to this...
Manos.
You are right about thai girls not liking flowers as a purchased five by a little fraud by one of those little girls that sales them and we sat at the bar for about two hours and when we got up to leave I asked her if she wanted them and she said no, so they were left on the table. I kind of miss that litle honey and her great smoke.
well think about it... flowers have a sentimental value only. Now fast forward-- your talking bout working girls looking to make $$$ by letting you screw 'em. The illusion of sentiment is held in the vast majority of cases by the male in this case, and guess what, the SG/BG could give a rats ass less about it-- your a customer and her paycheck for the day... that's it.
Good point Marco, but they do sometimw lead you to feel that you are special and that in a word is enough for me. I was ready to let her go back to her bar when I finished with her after 19 days. I use to like long time, but no more. The flower thing was just another educational experince with these little honey's.
of course, that's the illusion and what rakes in the $$$$.

I like the GFE not the GF who knew "all the bull shit, heart sore and guilt " started with "E". I guess you have to "buy" into the allusion that the girl cares for you a little. If you are 100% honest with yourself and know that you are a walking paycheck to most BG it does take some of the fun out of mongering. The illusion is a game best played by two, she pretends that you are her only true love and you pretend to believe her. It’s only when you buy the illusion as reality that you need to have a full frontal lobotomy.
"If you are 100% honest with yourself and know that you are a walking paycheck to most BG it does take some of the fun out of mongering."
Actually, I disagree. Once people can be honest enough with the themself, they can break the mold of trying to create psuedo-relationships and begin to not only accept their place in mongering (the paycheck), but more importantly, know the BG's place-- as a rented sexual toy. It's liberating.
You are right. I use to come here thinking that I would fine a fox to take on long time and in every case it would go bad after a few days or months as I have kelp some of them for a few months. Now I am happy with a day or a few but not long time. I guess I am jaded now. I know that I am a paycheck and that is my attraction to them and that is okay also. I have never gotten anything free in this country and probably never will and I can accept that also as long as I can find a cutie who will do most anything to separate me from my money.
DM, Marc2733--I completely agree, and thanks to the education and experience I've been getting with CH members (like DM and Epi), have come to "accept my place in mongering" ALONG with the illusion of GFE--which I am willing to pay for, as long as I get what I want. Myu concept of GFE is changing a bit to, to a primarily Hunterman-centric view.
And thanks for the insights above, I will now give MY girl a 20 baht (or 5 real) note whenever one of those cute little flower girls pesters us.
hman, there's nothing wrong with GFE as long as you keep your head about you and don't starting buying the BS (all back to knowing ones place). As long as you keep it hunterman centric-- it's all good.
Yup
GFE is good... and bad...
and a damn lot of work. I loves it though.
My goal is to achive "Master" standing while still rolling in GFE shit.
I find the discussion above so extraordinarily right on the money that all I can say is it is unfortunate that it cannot be mandatory reading for all first or second timers to LOS. By right on the money I mean both about the reality of P4P and the flower/gum urchins. I am headed back to BKK & PTY in a few days and thought I'd just brush up on things. Good reminder indeed about the urchins.
So, I am glad to have brushed up. Last time as I was exiting NEP with my evening entertainment a tiny urchin threw herself around my legs. Not exactly knowing what to do and she being so tiny and me a fairly burly guy I merely lifted her up, turned around and set her down and kept walking. Fortunately, nothing bad happened. However, after reading above that by her throwing herself around my legs she was possibly setting me up for a pocket job I realize how stupid my little display of manhood was. I shall not do that little move again. Very cool what one can learn on this board. Thanks gentlemen for the heads up.
Heads up? The last post before yours was over FIVE months ago! FYI, this can be a freakin' long time in a fast moving place like LOS. Since then the Nana Plaza management have taken steps to clear the entrance to NEP. Fewer motorcycles, rarely an elephant (unlike those who parade right down the middle of Soi Cowboy), and I have not seen an urchin near the NEP entrance in several months. BTW - it is good to be aware of the little urchins but we are grown men! By that I mean if you can't handle a small child you will be eaten alive by a seasoned bargirl LOL! They used to be a menace but I personally found them far more rude and aggressive in Soi Cowboy. Looking at the funny side of it I'm sure us men-of-the-world can walk without "total fear" passed a few toddlers. Get a grip guys!
Lighten up Dave . Nobody's talking about being mugged or beaten up by the street kids . A pack of 7-10 year olds will pick your pocket a lot cleaner and easier than a group of adults. Two or three little tikes wrapped around your legs easily distracts your attention as you try to pry them away while their companions lift whatever is in your pockets. An old scam in Europe and around NEP and Soi Cowboy.
The bars may change quickly but the street scams are perpetual. What's wrong with a guy reading a thread that's FIVE months old ?? The subject he's commenting on is not the bars or the talent therein and is not dated. Where did he mention elephants or motorcycles ??
BTW
There shouldn't be fewer motorcycles but zero motorcycles in NEP. The pack of parked motorcycles is an enormous threat to the safety of everyone in the event of a disaster or more likely the cause of a disaster some day.
KM, the point I'm making is that there is a lot of out of date and inaccurate information on the Internet. Currently there are no pack of street urchans at the entrance to Nana Plaza - I know because I walk into the place every night!
On other websites there has been constant coverage about Nana Plaza entrance being blocked. But do you notice Soi Cowboy was never faulted for the same reasons. Mmmmm! Rather biased don't you think?
Dave, have you even been diagnosed for this disorder?
(Message edited by donmarco on November 07, 2006)
>the Nana Plaza management have taken steps to clear the entrance to NEP
They need to put up some vehicle barriers at the entrance. I shudder to think what might happen if the wrong elements ever hook up with the muslim movement in southern LOS. Remember the Bali nightclub? The world is not as friendly a place as it used to be.
Maybe Soi Cowboy has never been faulted for the same reasons because the entrances to Soi Cowboy are never blocked. Lord knows the place has had its problems in the past, but I have never seen the entrances on either end gummed up with motos.
IN SOI COWBOY ELEPHANTS & URCHINS GO RIGHT INSIDE THE STREET...
IMO its worse in soi Cowboy because elephants parade up and down the whole street! The urchins are very aggressive and are actually right in the middle of Soi Cowboy. This was NEVER reported - the fact that elephants and aggressive urchins freely cause a menace throughout the whole street. At least in Nana Plaza urchins and elephants do not parade around right inside Nana Plaza. Phew! You guys can be hard work!
Don Marco,
You are a cheeky bugger but I like you! BTW, you seriously need a trip to paradise...
Phoenixguy & Khun Mor,
Yes, you are both right about Nana Plaza being unsafe. As I have stated before on this board, we live in a world containing totally evil people. After two fires in Nana Plaza the owners (an Indian family) did virtually sweet f*ck all to improve the safety of Nana Plaza.
Khun Mor is right that the motorbikes are a very dangerous hindrance just inside Nana Plaza. I know that the bar owners confronted the NEP owners and demanded that motorcylces cannot park inside. What has happened since is that the lift and esculator areas have been cleared of bikes. There is limited parking for all vehicles inside NEP after delivery times. Not brilliant but an improvement nevertheless.
While the elephants have never bothered me, I must agree that the kids on Cowboy are of a particularly aggressive breed. After politely refusing to buy a pack of gum from a tiny little lad on Soi Cowboy, I turned away and headed on my rounds. The little bugger promptly punched me in the ass. This struck me as a rather questionable sales technique. It's hard to imagine a punter getting a fist in the ass and then replying, "Hmmm...I really wasn't in the market for a pack of chewing-gum, but now that you put it that way..."
Manos.
Manos, I'm not making this an issue against Soi Cowboy because I like Soi Cowboy for a change of scenery. I just thought for some time now that certain online columnists were very pro Cowboy and very anti Nana. They tell half a story against Nana and ignore the negatives of Soi Cowboy. Hardly fair and balanced is it?
Those urchins are little buggers! Pleased to say that for now they have disappeared from the Nana Plaza entrance. And talking of elephants us Westerners have to deal with this problem all the time. Farang women the size of elephants causing terror through Western lands LOL!
Dave since when do you get a change of scenery? You've got a ball and chain (i.e. wife) in NANA that knows yur every move. I really do feel for ya. All that pussy around and you bat worse than AROD in the playoffs
Don Marco, there was plenty of opportunity for the "Prisoner In Paradise" to escape, but alas the trouble and strife has finished working in Pattaya. "Her indoors" is back in my town house in Bangkok. This will make my sojourns to Pattaya tough to justify. Thanks for reminding me with your verbal dig!
Dave, no dig intended-- just a mild push in the ass to start poking some tender pussy once in a while ;)
Hey Don Marco, "dig" in the UK among pals just means "banter" among guys who know each other well. It was a fair "dig" and I took it square on the chin. You would hold up well with the Brits. BTW, very soon I think I will have some interesting news for you. Dave The Rave is set to return on the Internet, but in a different way than before. Stay tuned!
That's great-- just keep yur cloths on!

Dave the rave is set to return on the internet but in a different way than before.
In stickmans this week at the end of his weekly he promises some changes and improvements could this and the above be connected i hope we will find out soon.
Don Marco & Redbus,
I will be launching my own website and following many requests I have finally decided to do it.
A friend put together a basic "skeleton" web page and we will be set to launch officially at the beginning of December. As friends of mine you two guys will be among the first to know via a personal email. Thanks for always supporting my efforts on the Internet. Cheers!

"Chok Dee" Yeh, I think I'm going to need it!
I have given myself a ton of work but I will do my best to host an informative and entertaining website. Bangkok & Beyond...

Since the situation is fluid what is the best freelancer spot in BKK these days
Can anyone give advice as to a decent place to stay that I can get to and from he clubs and the airport in relative decent time. Looking to stay at about $50 a night somewhere on Sukumvit area. Any advice wouldbe greatful.
Tazz
On the left-hand nav bar, go to Topics, Asia, Thailand, Bangkok, Hotels and serviced apartments, then read through the info. Plenty to choose from, and the majority are on Sukhumvit. The usual suspects are the Majestic, Dynasty, Nana Hotel, Grand President, Omni, and so on.
Thought I'd better get this info up while it's still fresh. The gogo scene in Bangkok is very strange at the moment. One day the bars are stocked with talent, and the next night they're all empty, both in Nana and Cowboy. It's a high tide/low tide kind of scene.
For example, two nights ago I visited every single major gogo in both Nana and Cowboy, plus a large number of the small ones. Bars that I saw a week prior, that were stocked with hot pooying, were devoid of the good stuff; some barely had any dancers at all. I was actually quite shocked to see such a large swing in such a short time. So it really is a hit or miss situation at the moment.
That said, when it's a good night, the pickings can be very good. I have seen a fair number of hotties. Just roll the dice and hope for the best.
Here is a quick rundown:
Soi Cowboy
By far and away the best bar in Cowboy right now is Shark. If you get there on a night when all the hot girls report to work, there are 7 or 8 girls that Murasaki would do, and for those of you who know how finicky I can be, that's saying a lot. Give it a couple of tries on different nights.
If you like Thai girls that look like they're Japanese (I am a sucker for them), then there is one smoking hottie at Deja Vu who also has the softest lips I've ever tasted. There are two other girls at Deja Vu who are very worthy of a bar fine. However, please note that this bar has jacked up bar fines to 700 after 9 pm, and 800 before 9. Total bullshit, and will not return except to get my Japanese hottie again.
The girls in Cactus are completely nude on stage.
Long Gun has a dairy farm grazing on stage, a far cry from the glory years. One hottie who I only saw once. However, they do have some interesting uniforms, such as a scarf and nothing else. If you like girls 30 to 50 pounds overweight, this is for you.
Over at Nana, if the night is a good one, Rainbow 3 I think has the best lineup. But it's hit or miss and get there early, as the hotties get nabbed fast. Also, for you spinner lovers, the second floor at Erotica had 3 exquisite spinners, and alas, I could only do one. Again, they're not always there. Went back another night and not one of them was to be seen.
Mandarin has a couple of hotties and some beautiful post-op ladyboys for those that like.
Dave says that he has one incredible stunner at Angelwitch, but she wasn't there the night I visited.
The big surprise is Rainbow 4, and how few good looking girls there are there in light of the sheer numbers. I had the weirdest night of my mongering career there Thursday night, which I'll discuss in a report. Credit to the mommy for doing me good, but boy, some girls got problems there.

On some monger trips to bangkok or Pattaya i get a chance to play the gaming machines that some bars seem to have in a corner of there bars, one thing i love is when the girls help you when you play the games on them, its strange because if someone tried to help me in my own country i would be seriously pissed off, but those Thai darlings just melt my heart, actually i thought the girls were very good untill i realised after playing the games for a while the same pictures or combinations come up, so the girls get to know whats coming next.

On a lot of other site`s they are warning about ladyboy muggers and pickpockets down the Sukhumvit late at night, it seems that a young boy will spot you then inform a ladyboy who will try to cuddle you and put his hand in your pocket. be carefull walking around the Nana area.
I may have missed a discussion thread on this topic but how do you find good 2 girl action in Bangkok? Not sure if that is offered at massage parlors. Is that just something you have to negotiate with freelancers?
Not easy to find girls tnat play well together in BKK. Definitely on the menu at soapies and massage parlors. In fact the papasan will try to sell you a sandwich .Ask him which girls are friends or play together. Usually not worth the cost IMO. Ask the mamasans in the bars if she has any girls who like girls and let her pick a companion as long as the second girl is acceptable to you.
Of course there's always Eden where two girls are mandatory not just possible.
My BKK experience with threesomes outside of Eden is it's almost always a one girl at a time affair. Little or no girl girl interaction.
Much easier to arrange in AC .
My experience is the same as Khun_Mor's (although less extensive). Threesomes and moresomes are easy in AC, and more fun. If that's your inclination, you'd do best going to AC.
Found this on You Tube
Here is the reason you do NOT hassle the Thai barowners. This old Brit was pissed off because they took away a drink they said he did not pay for and got a bit too loud. Never shout at a Thai especially if they outnumber you !!

For those Thai massage connoisseurs out there, where's your current top pick for Thai Massage (i.e. traditional not oil)? Just great bodywork, no extras needed. As always the cuter the better tho.
My favourite is the Health Land.
Here is the link: http://www.healthlandspa.com/home.html
It is very clean and upscale and all their staff are fully trained and certified. 2 hr Thai traditional massage costs 450 Baht.
Not sure about cute.. you don't get to choose, they just assign a girl.
SALover
So is the red light area outside of the free fire zone?
Nana Entertainment Plaza and Soi Cowboy are both dangerously close to the turmoil in Bangkok. If you are going now, just take taxi or bus directly from Airport to Pattaya.
The bus terminal is on lowest level of airport.
Does anybody know if the express train from airport to mid-town is operational yet or is it shut down due to the violence. I certainly would not be riding the SkyTrain now.
My monger trip this year will probably be entirely in Philippines, although they have had a bit of violence recently too.
H4A,
The political violence in the Philippines has been nowhere near the main mongering areas of AC/Subic/etc. No worries there, assuming nothing crazy occurs after the elections.
The express train is still under construction, no telling what year that will be finished. Just be happy that the new airport is between Bangkok and Pattaya. With all these protests going on the old airport would have been a real nightmare to use.

I have not seen the above link, but i did go to Bangkok during the problems and did get some action. Patpong was dead with soldiers all over the place, sow cowboy was OK but not my scene so Nana plaza was my mecca.
I booked the Honey guest house nea soi 33 and visited moes bar, the owner here is on the board.

That Slate article is pathetic, written by a 24-carat ignoramus.
I'm waiting for Slate to publish a similarly factual article on the oil leak, including:
"The citizens of the United States...are upset about the desecration of the gulf coast."
Hey, it's a fact!
What's the difference between a lady boy and a katoey?
I'm planning a triumphant return to LOS and was wondering, if I got in to BKK late, and had an early flight out to Phuket the next morning, is there a restaurant/bar in the new airport that serves alcohol all night so I can kill a few hours?
same thing.....(lady boy = katoey)

Quiombo
To answer the second part of your question there are plenty of eateries and bars at the airport beyond the usual Burger Kings and Dairy Queens (or Dairy Katoeys…get it) there are some decent bars and proper restaurants. You will also find all the usual loungers.
Do they serve alcohol 24/7? That is the key point for me considering my flight situation.
By Isawal on Saturday, April 02, 2011 - 05:17 am: Edit
I am pretty sure that all restaurants and bars are open 24/7.
By Isawal on Saturday, April 02, 2011 - 09:46 am: Edit
Checked with a stewardess friend who works for Thai Air and she confirmed the above.
That would be good news indeed as I wouldn't have to waste needless fun money on taxi fare and a hotel, when I can down a few beers and pass the six or so overnight hours in the airport. Thanks.

No Problem, have a great trip I look forward to your trip report.
Yeah, I'm a few months out but the trip is taking shape in my mind. Definitely want to see Phuket, a place that gets mixed/favorable reviews. Kinda planning on even going over into Krabi area for the beaches and "rasta party" element.
I've been reading about Thai karaoke places that seem to proliferate in that part of the world. A couple of my possible destinations supposedly have a lot of that. I've never been to a Thai karaoke place, but a couple web sites I've stumbled on basically say the word karaoke in those parts is a euphemism for "prostitution." Imagine that!
I've heard guys on this board talk about the K places in China and such and it sounded mind-boggling. Can somebody kindly clue me in on what I should expect to encounter in a Thai karaoke joint in places like Krabi town or Phuket town other than walking out with just enough baht for cab fare back to the hotel?
In my mind, I hope it's a private room to take a girl to, drink some beers, listen to music and fondle to my hearts content. But I'm still cloudy as to how the financial aspect is set up for the room, drinks, time element etc...
Hello BKK vets,
Does anything like the old Thermae Coffee house still exist in Bangkok? Was last there in 2005 and I found some gems there, wondering if it or something like it exists and where?
I guess the beer bars are an alternative, but I'm looking for those part-timers who go to a Thermae-like spot for some extra money or to meet a foreign boyfriend.
Thanks for info.
Did the Thermae close? Last I heard it was still open. In addition, there is the infamous Beer Garden on soi 7, Gulliver's on soi 5, and of course, the Nana parking lot in the later hours.

200B for a lady drink when gogos are cheaper, on the nomadsphilippines site he gives us a countdown of where to find ladies in Bangkok so either he must of jumped in the first bar of Queens park plaza or it's changed.
A lot of bloggers like nomadsphilippines,I do like his site, tend to be like reporter's and jump on the first thing they see, bars in the front are always busy and can afford to put their prices up.
One group who can afford to do this is Baccara, girls there not only expect an expensive lady drink they demand two which gets you a 20 second chat while they drown it and off they go to dance. Best you barfine her straight away.

The thigh bar Gogo in patpong soi 1 as an old style bar. Stickman, in his site, mentions a lot of bars are being refurbished and updated, the thigh bar does classic music from the 70s etc nice girls and beers for 100THB.
A monger here mentioned rip of places in PatPong, if anyone approaches you in PatPong just say no thank you with a smile, if you go into a place (upstairs usually) and it's empty with a couple of the biggest Thai guys you have ever seen at the door then it's a rip of joint.

well, nothing last forever or stays the same. i'm already in bangkok after a few years absence and it's change tons for me.
you can call it progress but is good and bad; at least for old timers like myself. girls are more savy and know there true value. i had this gal from Butterflies bar and i guess was damn lucky, a true amazon in bed. only bad thing she was not very happy with pics and only got two at the end next morning before we went for breakfast.
not really blasting this place for the sake of it, only stating today's state of affairs as it is now. now, moved to pattaya and the gal i got from honey 2 massage was very pleasant but also way money oriented and couldn't get pics.
i want to just remenber the awesome times i got here all these past years and treasure them dearly.
hopefully when i get all my notes set, would post my report.

COVID-19 VIRUS HIGH-RISK NATIONS - DON'T FLY INTO THAILAND FROM THESE COUNTRIES UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING TO FACE SELF-QUARANTINE FOR 14 DAYS!

Can you define Self Quarantine?
I am flying through South Korea from the states in BKK. Will I be quarantined? or are you just saying that you are at high risk if you go outside?
This may help shed some light; or maybe not. Sounds like the government is swirling in a bit of chaos at the moment.
