Ok, AC newbie questions here...
How is AC in March? Any holidays?
How is the selection? Any major reason not to go in March?

The major reason to go is that Epi and I will be there 3 March thru 14 March Come join the hoedown !!!
It's a bit hot just like LOS in March -- I'm sure the climates match pretty well. I been talkin to all my Filipina nurses for info. NO holidays. Start of Low season for tourists so selection should be better acc to Epi. All good reasons to get thee to AC my friend. I could use another newbie along for the ride.

KMs right - no holidays and we're both landing a few days after high season ends!!
Last year I was in AC from Feb 1-17, then left for 2 weeks in Thailand. When I returned on March 3rd it was like a different town!! While there were no tumbleweeds or spaghetti western soundtracks playing, it was significantly different then just a few days before!! Many babes looking to still score some green before trekking back to the province. Good times. There really is no BETTER time to be there!!

I do. I'd have to have a clone to do my job, though, and/or rob a bank to make it. Waiting 'til April sounds easier (ooh, Baby, Easter in Angeles???), and I still might have to rob that bank!
For all of you that go between the next time I have vacation, I HATE YOU!!!

Do you guys ever get sick on the food over there? I haven't read anything that would indicate such.
Do you get any kind of shots before heading over there?
Does a US citizen have to get a visa?
By Khun_mor on Saturday, January 24, 2004 - 11:42 pm: Edit |
No shots, necessary although Hep aA and B vaccines would be advisable IMO. No visa unless you are going to stay over a month. Can get sick on food anywhere - no more so here.

Don't go near the water. I was careful, but still ended up with a bad case of intestinal gas/shits. I presume it was the water used for rinsing after brushing cuz I stuck to run of the mill food and made sure it was cooked well.
No visa needed.

Epi, Khun, Xen, etc, etc.
Looks like you'll have one more hombre on your party train-- I'll be in town around the 7th after a short stint in Thailand.

Welcome aboard !!! The more the merrier !
Not like Epi needs any help in terrorizing these poor innocent young girls.
When are you in Thailand ? I'll be in Pattaya from Feb 28 Thru March 3 before heading to AC with Epi.

Although subject to change, I'm scheduled to arrive in BKK the 28th at 11:30PM and returning on the 11th. I'll shoot over to AC on the 3rd and scoot back to BKK on the 10th for an Eden night prior to going home.

I went to one of the Public Health offices in Los Angeles and told them where I was going. They have charts showing what's floating around the area and what they can do about it. I got Hep A & B, and a shitload of other things. Cost was around $300 for the whole load over the total of 6 months. Figure I'll still be good for a few years...
Food in the PI SUCKS!!!! Now, it won't kill you most times, but stay away from street vendors. The carts in Thailand are safe, but I'm not about to trust a salad bar mounted on the side of a bicycle riding around Fields/Santos all day!!
Brush and such with bottled water EVERYWHERE!! No use shitting away your vacation.
Visa is required if you will be in country more then 21 days. Not a problem for most of us as we're too busy shuttling back and forth between BKK and MNL for problems to occur.

Welcome to the party!! I'll be in Pattaya when I'm not in AC. What a town!!
KM and Xen
Bring LOTS of hand cleaner!! I'm planning on dipping all 11 digits each night multiple times!! I've even reserved two rooms at my hotel. One's just for the ST boom boom action and pics while the other is meant for LT sinning...
