Okay, first off, I'm a professional body piercer (do a google search for "jerry d. body piercer" to verify).
One of the services I provide is penis implants (AKA beading, subdermal bead implants, pearling, etc.). I actually have a couple 7/32" titanium beads implants along the top of my own penis, which I did myself.
I plan on travelling to the Philippines in the near future, and it is my understanding that penis implants is a widely practiced form of body modification there. In fact, most of my own customers are "FOB" Filipinos ("FOB" means "fresh off the boat"), who told me that until they found me, their only other option for this procedure would have been to go back to the PI to have it done.
Ironically enough, I'm three-quarters Filipino.
My question to you: Is anybody here familiar with how and where beading is performed in the Philippines? I would like to learn more about the history and the procedures (although, really, it won't be any safer in the Philippines than my own procedure room with Statim autoclave and my knowledge of aseptic procedures, etc.). Ultimately, I would like to perform these procedures while I'm in the Philippines, perhaps even to help pay for my trip. So, obviously, another question that I would have is: How much do they normally charge for this in the PI?
I'd even be interested in performing routine body piercings (ie. navels, tongues, nostrils, etc.) while in country, if doing so would be economically feasible.
Any information would be appreciated. Or, if anything, point me the way to find out for myself. Thanks!

You have a visa with a work permit ?? You are setting yourself up for trouble without it. Your competition with the locals will have them scrambling for the police instantly.
Cannot help you with the piercing or implant questions.

I'd need a special visa? Well, shoots...yeah, I guess that makes sense. Shows how much I know about international travel.
I guess I won't be mixing business with pleasure, then. Still gonna try to learn from the natives, though... (tax write-off, perhaps?)

If you want to learn from the natives I should hook you up with my old GF Ya in Thailand . She quit bar scene and now owns several piercing and tattoo salons in BKK. Your kind of girl !!! She's a fucking tiger in the sack as well !!

I would definitely be interested in talking to her...perhaps she would consider having me as a guest piercer at one of her shops, and (at the risk of sounding vain) teaching her artists a thing or two about cross-contamination, aseptic procedures, bloodborne pathogens, etc. (as well as modern piercing techniques). Though I got tattooed when I was in Thailand, I was not at all impressed with the body piercing scene. I saw too many bar girls with crooked navel piercings, or piercings that looked horrendous with hypertrophic scarring. Also, when looking at various body piercing portfolios, I saw way too much blood (especially with tongue piercings) -- most body piercings shouldn't bleed at all. Perhaps a mutually-beneficial business relationship could be arranged.
This, of course, would depend on the legalities of the arrangement. But at least I wouldn't be pissing off the natives by working illegitimately out of a dirty hotel room.
Whether or not she's a tiger in the sack would be irrelevant. I wouldn't want to mix business with pleasure...and there's plenty of other tigers in Thailand to be sacked.
Thanks for the offer! I'm going to take you up on it soon...I'll let you know when.
