Hi I was thinking of going during the first 2 weeks of July but heard it was the rainy season. How wet does it get and how are the ladies during that time?

I was there this past July (and probably will be again this time), and the rain was a minor nuisance. It rained pretty much every day of my trip, but was quite like the average afternoon thunderstorm in the muggy areas of the U.S: It poured down rain for 20 minutes or so and then the storm passed and the weather completely cleared up within an hour from the first rumblings. As long as you're inside for that hour, you'll be fine, although blackouts for 5-10 minutes tended to accompany the rain. If you're at a place with its own generator you wouldn't even notice. Rain will indeed be an annoyance, but it shouldn't be any reason to NOT go.

Thanks Porker. I can't wait to go to Angeles but was wondering if I should wait until Nov. as the weather is better and flights will be cheaper. Either way how are the ladies during that time (same old same old, not as much selection as high season, or much better)???

Go both times! DUH!!! The ladies are hot and waiting for YOU!!! BOOK IT NA!!!

It rained almost every day I was there last Sept. I hardly even noticed.
Also, July flights should be cheaper than November flights.
Porker knows best. Go as often as possible, who gives a fuck if it rains, thats why you got a hotel.

Thanks Porker you are truly wise
I feel a sudden urge to buy a plane ticket...

Thanks for all the help guys I just bought my plane ticket the the PI!!! But I'm torn between getting a deluxe room at the Orchid Inn or getting the jacuzzi room at the Apartelle Royal. Any advice???
| By Porker on Friday, March 19, 2004 - 03:43 am: Edit |
Jacuzzi room at the Apartelle Royal sounds like it would be quite a score, as there's only one available. The room there will be MUCH nicer than the Orchid and cheaper too. But the Orchid has the pool with all the little brown bunnies all around it... Can't go wrong with either choice. Flip a coin???

Saw very few LBB's around Orchid pool-- just a lot of drunken Aussies arguing over rugby results.

If I stay at the Orchid do you guys think its better to stay in the Jasmine rooms or the original rooms?
| By Porker on Monday, March 22, 2004 - 07:05 pm: Edit |
Well, the newer ($45) rooms are a lot nicer, but they're also 20 bucks more a night. IMO they're not THAT nice. Might be different if you're bringing a laptop and like to use the internet in your room, as the older rooms don't have 'net hookups. All rooms at the Central Park do, though, and their $25 rooms are a lot better value than the $45 rooms at the Orchid.

Stay in the Jazmine wing vs the Hibiscus wing. The water coming out of the pipes will smell less like rust. Also, when the power goes out (and yes, it WILL go out!!), the generator can only power the AC units in the Jazmine wing, not the rest of the complex.
Staying in the tiny, CRAPPY, Standard rooms is a crime punishable by a case of the clap!!

Thanks guys. I don't mind spending an extra $20 bucks when I'm on vacation, especially when I won't be going back for a while. I just care about a decent room in the middle of the action. Sounds like that's the Jasmine wing in the Orchid!!!

Check to see if the "Premiere Rooms" at Central Park Hotel are available during your stay. They have all the bells and whistles of the Jazmine wing, with the benefit of a DVD player in the room and $15 less/night...

Yeah both the Central Park Hotel and Orchid sound like great places. I'm only leaning towards the Orchid because of the pool, bigger bathroom, and the girls seem to like it more. What do you guys think???

Alright guys I'm booked in the Premiere room at the Central Park Hotel for 3/4 of my trip and at the Orchid Inn Deluxe room for the rest. I'll report on both when I come back. Thanks a lot!!!

Hey everyone turns out that the Apartelle Royal finally emailed me back and said the Executive Jacuzzi room was available. I'm already booked at the Central Park and Orchid Inn. I'm thinking of canceling the Orchid Inn and spending 3 days in the Jacuzzi room, what do you guys think???
