Hello all due to advice from fellow board members I'm starting to plan my first trip to the PI!!! I'll be there for 9 days and was wondering if it was worth it to stay in Manila for a day or 2 or to just go to Angeles???

Tough question. Personally I've never done anything in Manila but hang out at the airport and sit in traffic on the way to AC, but there are many that swear that the Makati girls are by far the hottest working girls in Luzon, and I have no reason to doubt them. The prices in the bars are MUCH higher, though, as are hotel prices, and from what I have heard there is not as much of a wild barhopping scene like there is in Angeles where there are 30+ bars within a 6 square block area. If you're into quality over quantity and aren't averse to paying Bangkok-type prices, I'm sure you would really enjoy Manila. For me I'd only do it for the new experience or if/when I got tired of AC, which is as pure of a mongering destination as there is in the world.

Personally, I would recommend at least a day in Manila before heading to Angeles. That way, you can get a feel for the talent available in Manila, and return early to spend more time in Manila if you find you prefer it.

I would recommend staying in Pasay off of EDSA at either Heritage Hotel or Copacabana Apartments. Copacabana is less expensive and Blazers' seemed to like it, I haven't stayed there. It's also directly across the street from the EDSA complex.

Prices are higher in Manila, but are still reasonable if you stick to EDSA and massage parlors. Girls in Makati are expensive, but then again the money also draws some of the best talent.

I prefer the city environment and quality of looks in Manila over the party town environment of Angeles. I also was attracted to many more girls in Manila. However, I think most PI fans like Angeles a lot better.

I chatted on Yahoo recently with a friend currently in Angeles. He didn't take my recommendation to stay in Manila first, but I'm sensing he should have. He mentioned he was finding it a little difficult to do quantity because of the fewer on-site options like he is used to from Thailand. He could take them all back to his room, but then there's the hassle of the cleanup after each session. Manila has plenty of massage parlors for this.

Seair has daily flights between Angeles and Manila for $10-$18 US. After factoring in getting to the airport early, the time is about the same unless you get stuck in traffic, in which case the drive can be longer. You could probably get a free pickup from your hotel though when going from Manila to Angeles.

Unfortunately there's no SEAir flight on Saturday, tho.

Of course if you do as D'art did, you'll go to AC and have the hottest girl in town fall in love with you and then Manila won't seem so great! BTW, that's not a great pic of FIFTH MONTH, who is an UBER-hottie!

You can check out of the Orchid or any hotel in AC anytime you like. Getting them to hold the room if you decide to come back might be tricky, but as July isn't really high season you'll have no trouble finding decent accomodations even if they don't hold your room.

I think everyone should spend a couple nights in Manila if they have a trip of at least 10 days....Angeles will drive you nuts as it is a shithole and there is nothing to do during the day but fuck freelancers and sneak outs. I love fucking hot young girls but you need a break sometimes as the Filipinas are not much for conversation. I can only hang out with chicks that have rocks-for-brains for so long before I need some other stimulation. Manila has a lot better restaurants, malls and a plethora of potential "good girl" sex or future relationsips....if that's what you're after. Makati is extremely expensive but not really much more than Bangkok.

I would spend at least one night in Makati and pick out one hottie you like. Only buy drinks for girls you might fuck because the mamasans and waitress' in Makati are relentless at pushing drinks and you could leave $200 poorer in the span of an hour if you dont watch it. It's not unheard of to have 10-15 girls surround your table, followed by a dipshit waitress who asks, "You buy lucky drinks for the girls?" Let's see....if I bought one round for all of them, the waitress and the mamasan(who always asks) then that could potentially put me back 5,100 pisos in a milisecond(about $95). If you refuse, they give you that pisser look. The other scam is that the mamasan will buy you a measley 150 piso tequila shot with the mentality that you must buy 300 piso lady drinks for the whole group...that's fair, right. Just something to be aware of. Best thing to do is give your room number or cell number to several girls to contact you when they get off of work which avoids the 3,000 piso barfine. Flamingo also only asks for 1,900 piso barfine and Bar Bandido has the same price and will let you put your drinks towards the barfine. Best looking girls is a matter of taste but Flamingo, Enchanted Room, Jools, Bar Bandido, and Bottoms Up continually stacks up talent.

Take another night and check out EDSA complex as there are cute girls at Spacegirls, My Fair Lady and Pitstop. The barfine here is only 1,000 pisos and the girls will settle for 1,000/1,500 short time and dont even bother with LT's in Manila. You could also check out the freelancer scene at LA Cafe but I have never seen any girl worth fucking there but the talent changes constantly so give it a shot.

I was hoping someone could refresh my memory concerning something I remember seeing a few years back on a news show like "Nightline."

The story was about a US citizen who had spent much of his time in the PI. I forgot where (probably Angeles). Turns out he was a real horndog and fathered a slew of out-of-wedlock children.

On the show, I remember them interviewing several of the girls he had knocked up. Many apparently were underage at the time of conception.

This is the part that I'm unclear about. I think the guy died somewhere along the line. I don't know how, but he wasn't that old. Also, he was rich, very rich and I think these women were trying to lay claim to his fortune for the raising of the children. Anybody remember this, or possibly have met the guy I'm talkng about?

The man whom you're referring to is the late Larry Hillblom, the co-founder of DHL Express. If you do a Google search on him, you'll find a lot on him and his exploits. Here's a snip from one website:

Well I put the finishing touches on my trip. I'll spend most of my time in Angeles with a weekend in Manila. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for their help!!!
