Last time I stayed at the Pacific hotel which was OK but maybe a little basic. So this time I was looking for something a little bit more upscale. Not luxury, but a definite step above a Hotel 6. Diamond hotel had a very classy lobby, functional but small elevators. I was on the 5th floor. My room was decent sized and had a queen size bed, satellite TV with HBO and CNN, refrigerator/mini bar, nice modern clean bathroom with a tub and good water pressure to the shower. Perfect for bubble baths with the ladies. Best of all there was an in room safe. Guest policy was perfect. They never said a word when I brought in guests, they just greeted me very respectfully as normal. But if I dismissed short time girls at night they were stopped at the front door by the security guard and who then called my room and ask, "Mr. ....., is it OK with you for your girlfriends to leave?" I appreciated that they looked after my interests like that. The Air conditioner worked great but was weird. I never found a thermostat only an on/off button. Plus occasionally it shut itself off. I think it was on some kind of timer but even the timer was not consistent. Anyway, it worked good and the room was always comfortable.

This my favorite hotel in PP Cambodia and I have stayed at 7-8 throughout the years. Another one of my favoprites is the lucky star Hotel. It is a little further from the central market area, but closer to Martini's

I am returning to PP in december and tried many hotels by internet including the diamond and scandic is the only one who got back to me. So I will be staying there. Does anyone know anything about this hotel. They state that they are a family type hotel and that does not sound good as far as mongering goes. Anyone who knows please respond.
