This is one (or more accurately, 2) of my favorite restaurants in Bangkok, and you hardly know it's a restaurant until you walk into the entrance. It's actually 2 restaurants (Kazara, an Indian restaurant, and Lan Na Thai, a northern Thai restaurant) and a bar (Face Bar). The atmosphere is very very classy, although the prices are typical of hotel restaurants. One of my regular Thai girls who has a full time government job took me there and we ate at the Indian restaurant, followed up with drinks at the Face Bar. I loved it so much we went back again to the Thai restaurant. The decor and atmosphere, as well as the food, are indigenous of the region, and the place would fit right into any major city in the U.S. and be competitive as an upscale restaurant. The bar is very subdued lighting, and also very upscale and romantic, a great place to take your thai gf, but probably not the place to go to pick one up. Reservations are strongly recommended as neither restaurant is very large. They also apparently have branches of the Thai restaurant in Jakarta, Shanghai and London, and the Indian restaurant in Jakarta and Shanghai.

Found the brochure I had on this place and scanned some of the contents which I've included here. By the way, the picture of the bar doesn't show all the dark little nooks and couches that you can hide away with your thai gf and make out in privacy to your heart's content!
