Can anyone recommend a hotel in tokyo? Or at least a good part of tokyo to stay in?

What's your price range? And "good part" is all relative, depending on your purpose for being there. Are you meeting people for business or just sightseeing, etc.?

I would like to find some place under $100 per night or if not then not more than $120. But also I would like to stay in a place that is close to entertainment. A japanese sushi chef told me to stay in shibuya but seems really expensive. I met these japanese girls and they told me I would do well in japan (with the ladies); I was really talking shit that night and it was working. I am trying to get together with the one again but want a backup plan. I didn't know I was going to japan until after talking to these girls.
So, by "good part", I mean a place it is easy to "meet"/hook up with girls for no pay. I am white and speak only english. I am looking for girls in their 20's.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Wow, this is a new one on me. You're going to make a visit to Tokyo just to try to get freebies from Japanese girls? The first piece of advice is: bring LOTS of money. Tokyo is an incredibly expensive place to visit, especially if you don't know your way around and don't speak Japanese.

Don't be surprised if this chick wants nothing to do with you once you're there. Their behavior can be quite different depending on geographical location; footloose and fancy-free on the road, much more guarded back on the home turf. Good luck with her.

If things fail, probably the best place to try for hookups would be the bars of Roppongi, with Shibuya following, although Shibuya is going to be a much younger crowd, diminishing your chances. There are not a lot of hotels near Roppongi, especially ones in your price range.

To simplify things, there are basically two hotel types in Tokyo that would serve your purposes: the business hotels and the higher level places. The business hotels, which are totally no frills, will run you $60-100 a night, depending on location. There are very few hotels in what we would consider the mid-range. The higher level places pretty much start at around $200 and soar up from there.

You may want to check with a good travel agent to see if they could get you a deal, or try Priceline, etc. if you go in the off season. If you're in California, try the agents in San Francisco's Japantown, or Los Angeles' Little Tokyo.

Since there are relatively few business hotels in Shibuya, and almost none in Roppongi, you might want to look in areas such as Ueno, Shinjuku, Shimbashi and Ikebukuro. However, keep in mind that Shibuya has a very large "love hotel" district, so that could be a lot of fun for the short time experience.

I know I was a little scattered in my question.

I am going to Thailand to see a specific girl; my flight connects in Japan. So I arranged to stay in Tokyo for a few days. The Japanese girl I am trying to meet up with is here (LA) and I want to meet with her again before I go for more travel advice. Shinjuku seems to be closest to the areas you mentioned for bars/clubs. I'll try there.
Thanks for your input and I will be sure to report my findings (good or bad)when I return.

I had a great trip in Japan over the summer. I would recommend that "very-American" people stay in the Ropongi area of Tokyo. Hotel Ibis is right there. It is very small and about $100 per night. You can take the ANA hotel bus from Narita airport and take a cab to Ibis. You could actually walk if you knew how close it was, but when you first get there, take a cab. Everything you can want is nearby. And, many, many beautiful, skinny, tall, young models of every flavor in the area.

The word is that Japanese honeys are pricey. What is your experience?

You're heading in the right direction...everything in Japan, including the native ladies, is expensive. There's no wonder why you see a lot of Koreans and Russians in the lower-end clubs.

You just have to hope that you get lucky with one of the non-pros in the Gaijin bars in Rappongi to save a couple of $$.

Hi all!

If I go to Japan, I'd like to try some of the Delivery Health places.

Any hotels with "cooperative" concierges who would "make the arrangement" as I only speak English?

I'm a newbie!

Thanks guys
