Stayed in the cheap-o studio room of this hotel from November 12th through 26th, 2004. Wasn't planning on being there that long, but my plans were waylaid by a nasty, week-long fever. The bad about the place: Room seemed a bit dark. Room phone for some reason would not connect with 0920 cell phones (although the hotel operator would make the call for me after I insisted). Morning showers (say, from anytime before 11am) were at best tepid and sometimes just plain cold. The good: Located at the corner of Mabini and Pedro Gil, it is within walking distance of a lot of bars including LA Cafe and G Spot. 1400 pesos a night from asiatravel.com (http://www.asiatravel.com/laspalmas/). Nighttime companions have their ID's checked and are registered. Bed was comfortable. I also thought it was a pretty quiet place unless somebody was yelling, although with my hearing loss I may not be the best judge.

Yeah, I liked this place. Cheap, right across the street from the Hyatt Casino, clean, cool A/C, short walk to the mall, many bars and KTVs nearby. Short walk to Baywalk. This place and Executive Plaza, next door, are good enough for me. Problem I had with one of these places was the housekeeper (twice) did not shut the door completely and when I came back it was ajar--nervewracking!

Stayed here for a few days last week. 2000 php/night ($44). Internet wifi cards are sold now, but they only had the higher priced ones (48 hours) when I needed one for my last night--figures! There's also an internet cafe close by--20-40 pesos for my usual use. But couple times the pcs were running incredibly sloooww!
There are some pimps in front of the 7-11 that take you to nearby casas. Ok girls, high priced.
I'll stay here or Executive when I'm in Manila.
