Just wanted to let you guys know that I found this brand-spanking new Appartelle that opened up between Camelot go-go and Margaritaville. They just built it and everything is brand new, there is a also a new convenience store, an exchange booth w/ good rates, an internet cafe, and a travel agency booth on the 1st floor. Best of all it has a kitchenette. Price is $30/night and the rooms are huge and well lit.
Here's a few pics. I'll check it out in more detail later.

Gotta give this place a thumbs up after a week's stay. This place is located on Fields between 7-11 and Camelot go-go, above a well stocked convenience store, 24 hour internet cafe (good connections and blazing DSL speed) and a money changing booth with good rates. The money changing booth was great because I hate lugging around money back to my hotel, since it's downstairs, you just exchange the money and hightail it up to your room (no need to dodge the would be muggers). Everything is new and in great working order (AC, microwave, cable TV w/20 channels, hot water, outlets worked) and didn't find a lot of broken this, broken that. Nice refrigerator and the bed was a queen size (nice sheets and pillows) that comfortably fit a fatass and two spinners. The service and staff are excellent here with great daily maid service. They also have drivers on staff
The bad is that there are no In-room safes, but I didn't have problems storing my valuables in the main safe in the "lobby". They don't have in-room DSL, No elevator, No pool or other amenities to speak of and some of the rooms out front are kind of loud because of the traffic (I had a nice room in the back). No room service and the "lobby"/front desk is the front counter of the convenience store.
If you want to see more pictures of the place (with girls), I posted a bunch of pics in the last 2 segments of my recent Phillipines Trip Report from my room.
All in all, great place, but I think as word gets out, this place will get booked solid like Appartelle Royale. I hear they are building more units in the back though.

Oh the price is $30 for standard and $35 for Deluxe. They have weekly and monthly discounts of, I believe, 15% and 30% respectively. They also don't take credit cards here, not yet at least.

I stayed there in Oct. 2005 and found it to be overall very nice. Internet cafe, currency exchange, took my credit card, everything was new, helped me get a bus back to Manila. Never a prob. with girls. Guy works the door to keep the kids away. Great AirCon. I was happy. If you don't need the pool or Jacuzzi its great. Going to the 7-11 for supplies was cheaper than downstairs. But then not leaving the hotel to get drinks or whatever is very nice. I took one in the back so it would be quite. Got a nice view of the gals hanging their clothes on the rooftop of Insomnia in the morning. Damn I got to get back....

Great that you liked it Blue, but Boy, I haven't been able to get my fav. room since guys started staying there. It's great to run down w/flip flops and PJs to restock on munchies, use the internet and get pesos.

With a 10% discount off a $35 room and 20% off for a 2-week stay, this place might be the best room bang for the buck in AC if you don't want a swimming pool. As Merlin's great pics abive show, the rooms are pretty damned nice for the price. Internet access is also reported to be consistently very good.

Natalia has completed construction on their new wing and should have a LOT more rooms available now. Prices still look to be decent for nice rooms in a great location with (hopefully) no more construction noise issues.

Hotel room safe robbed by chamber maid by use of safe pass key.I inventoried my belongings after that and found the master safe key stashed in the back corner of a upper back closet. After bring this to the attention of the manager he denied his staff did anything and tried to say the key was issued to me because the safe was problematic. Went to the police made a report but my evidence is circumstantial. Nothing they can do other then log the incident. Michael the chamber maid is still employed so I do not recommend use of this hotel.

I spent a couple nights here this summer, and thought it a pretty nice room for the ~ 1900 pesos for a room similar in size to the one Merlin posted pics of years back. More importantly, they had availability during the week that several hotels didn't during what is supposedly "slow season" in AC.

I had nothing stolen during my stay. YMMV.
