I'm trying to understand this. Do these Russian girls only strip? Are the available for p4p? Can you barfine them? If they're just regular strippers, who the hell cares? I can go to a strip club in the States and be shaken down for cash and leave frustrated and depressed. Why do I need to travel half way around the world for that?

They cannot be barfined in the sense that they cannot leave during working hours. They are available at ridiculous prices after closing . You have to negotiate with them- I hear 4,000 baht is their minimum price. I wouldn't pay 400 !

Would not be surprised if it never re opens. The owner must have paid some heavy cash to someone high up in Thai immigration to get work permits for Russian nationals to work in a bar. An unheard of practice in Thailand. The law states that if a Thai citizen can do that job just as well as a foriegner then there is no possibility for a foriegner to get a work permit. We all know the Thai poo ying are more than capable bar workers ! Methinks someone woke up and revoked the permits . It will more likely re open as another Thai go go than in it's current format. No loss IMHO.

Yes Khun Mor is right with his assessment IMO. Pattaya or anywhere for that matter doesn't need this. Like KM says let's hope somebody sensible takes it over. Perhaps one of the owners of the top five go-go bars in Pattaya. We live in hope!

So if KM is right about the Thai work permits (and presumably there are Thais capable of managing bars), how is it you have a job there Dave?

KM and me were talking about PATTAYA and I do not live in PATTAYA, so not sure what you are talking about to be honest? And I'm certainly NOT a Husky Rusky Dancer!

The work permit rules I cited refer to labor or service type jobs. Dave's job would be in the managment or consultative category with totally different rules. Don't ask why -- This is Thailand.

Was in this place three time this week. I', in town with a couple of buddies from work who are just FASCINATED with Russian girls. IMHO the girls from Mother Russia have piss poor attitudes and no amount of sex appeal will make up for being a sour puss.

I asked one of the Thai waitresses how much is the barfine for the Russian girls and she gave me a placard off the table: $350USD! Give me a break!

PS: Drinks wer MAD expensive also!
