thanks for posting my pic, I hope the members like them ( and maybe evoke some plesant memories)

in order they are:

Islander restraunt menue board and sign
( soi patong resort/across from soi sea dragon) good food/both thai and falang.


Paciugo: best gellato I have found in the los.
great cure for a "big nite on the town"


Ginos, exellent Italian food ( same soi patong resort) ( gino is actually an aussi) good ( but dinky thai size) pizzas. if you give him some notice, he will make special dishes for you
( pesto a real winner IMHO)

( you can also find gino as a regular "fixture" at franco's flash a gogo) (but don't tell him I said so)

"hkt" view of the paradise hotel from steps of Neptuna ( good landmark in case you are totally blotto, and need a reference point)

oasis ( the origional one, not the copy on bangla)
great place to kick back and excape the usual "barbeer" area when you have had enough.
( get pom to play my smokie cd for you)
and gino will bring you pizzas if you want to stay put/ ( same with islander, will deliver,, just across the soi)

Not so scary for me ( really) but scared the crap out of my kids.

( there is also a decent all-u-can eat buffett in the walk in)

Returned from thailand wed (8/27)

Update on pic in phuket, genos is up for lease.
geno said he was "cheated" out of his earnings by his workers ( girls)

rumors are he was having too much fun with the workers.

tiger disco is still closed, the area ( tiger entertainment area) and down by starwars ( formerly shark club) looks like they got and infusion of concrete molding. ( lots of soft forms made of cement and wire) kind of weird in contrast to the other places.

for some reason ( up comming apec conference?) there are lots of muslum ppl in phuket area ( heavy duty burkha dress and all)

no problems that i could see, just kind of "creepy"


Other than that Phuket is still a nice place to "relax"

Paciugo is moved from soi patong resort to small area ( dare I say shopping center) a little ways from Christians ( get your gelatto after the massage)

Haunted house place is no longer.

also, magrita bar ( end of soi bangla, across from reo bar) is a nice place to relax and listen to the music ( just dont expect to talk if you sit in front of the band)

also, latest goofey rules wont let kids into scruffy murphys ( pub with good food), but they still can sit in the magrita bar... go figure that one out.

This was triggered by an 8.9 Earthquake Hundreds are missing mostly vacationers and tour operations staff that were helping them to enjoy the diving boating and beaches that are some of the most beautiful that Ive ever seen.
