HOLLYWOOD ROCK is situated on floor one of Nana Plaza just to clarify that this is NOT a bar belonging to Dave The Rave. However it was owned by my Boss until he sold it about a decade ago.

SPECIAL EVENT ON 31-03-05 @ HOLLYWOOD ROCK - There is a Go-Go Dance Competition and these are usually wild events. The prize money is about 10,000 baht for the winner and it will be very raunchy Strip Club style as the go-go girls battle it out for that big cash prize.

This special event is hosted by "Hollywood Rock" (floor one Nana Plaza, next to Rainbow 2), (FYI) this bar is owned by the Crown Group not us. These events are always that bit different and can be quite wild. Worth a look if you have not seen a go-go dance contest before. Usually packs the bar out, so if you are not into wild crowds this is not your scene. This Thursday, March 31st. There are no times given but you are advised to get there (no later than) between 9pm and 10pm. Hollywood Rock have stated that contestants from Patpong and Cowboy will be battling it out for a big cash prize along with the Nana Plaza girls.

Went to the contest Dave the rave was talking about and it did not compare to the Nanapong Dance Contests. I miss those!This contest had full on costumes and did not reveal much skin..Maybe they forgot to pay off someone!

Hi Wilster, after speaking to the Nanapong guys it was decided it was too dangerous for Nana Plaza bars to host their contests. Like you I'm gutted because Nanapong host very wild events. Lumpini Police who control Nana Plaza will not allow any nudity, they are really strict about this at the moment. Even my Thai sources are confused, they just put it down to internal police politics. Recently I was going to host a "Dirty Dancing" contest at Hollywood but Nanapong advised a friend that it is not a good idea with the current clampdown. One dance contest is not worth a 30-60 day bar closure.

Me and my friend picked a girl from this place, decent looking and pretty smiles but turned shy back at the hotel. I kicked mine out after pop as no smoke and even worse she was on the rag ouch.

The old defunct Hollywood Rock has been remodeled and replaced by the all new Angelwitch 2 GoGo Bar. This is a sister to the 14 year old original Angelwitch Rock Dancers, which is located next to Spankys on the Middle Level of Nana Plaza. Angelwitch 2 is rather different in both design and format. It has an unusual but refreshing combination of gogo dancers, coyote dancers and stage shows. Angelwitch 2 is located between Play Skool and Rainbow 2 on the Ground Level of Nana Plaza.
