THE NEW HILLARY BAR (opposite Bus Stop on Soi Nana) is now open and they are already doing a fairly brisk trade. It is very nicely furbished with stained teak panels, four pool tables downstairs, a fair sized sports screen, and with facilities upstairs too. The pleasant atmosphere and surroundings fit in well in a good location. Well worth a visit to see Soi Nana's latest addition to the bar scene. I was greeted very politely by a well-dressed lady. Same owners as Morning Night given time they could get some attractive BG's. This was the old Thai Pot resturant which was a complete failure. This new bar is a welcomed sight and has great potential.

The new Hillary neon sign...

I was there for the opening night party. They had some imported coyote dancers and a good time was had by all. They've already moved the league pool games from Hillary on soi 4 to the soi 11 location, which should introduce alot of expats to the bar. Given that this bar is extremely close to the Spice Club after-hours venue on soi 11, it is also a natural funnel into that venue after Hillary closes...and, of course, Spice Club is owned by the same folks. Good business set-up, all around. There's a reason that Morning/Night and the other Hillary bars have been so succesful...
Manos.

Right again Manos - I am a great admirer of Hillary II Bar and Morning Night Bar. The Thai family have expanded their business quite considerably and they certainly have a successful bar business formula. Morning Night are always busy, in fact Morning Night is the most popular beer bar in the whole area. Hillary II is a stylishly designed and furbished bar that have some excellent live bands.
