In the Pattaya section, there is a map, which shows where everthing is. It really is a great reference for those who have not been there and especially for those who are going there soon.
I think it would be extremely helpful if someone put together a map of NAN and another of Soi Cowboy, etc. Those of us who read the posts here, see some very confusing directions to get around. It would be great if there was a map to all of the locations.

Val, speaking as a guy who loves maps, both using them and making them, relax, dude, you're gettin' way too uptight and analytical. Maps are good for showing you where to go, but would you really need a map for Disneyland? Go with the flow, brother!
Seriously though, I've seen plenty of maps for some of these places and they're just not worth the effort to create them. The names of the bars change every couple of years so they're hopelessly outdated in no time flat. The real issue is the fact that these places are small enough that you don't even need a map. A general area map of Pattaya is useful, I must admit, but not the bar areas themselves.
Naw, you just gotta get yourself a pair of khaki shorts, a walking stick, a pith helm and go explorin'!

Actually Wombat, I was thinking of my impending trip. I only have 3 days in BKK, and a long list of things to see, chicks to do. I just thought it would cut down on asking for directions as I speak no Thai at all

Honestly, to hit the big 3 areas all you need is a BTS pass. Sala Daeng exit for Patpong, Asok for Soi Cowboy and, of course, Nana for NEP. Once you hit those exits just ask the nearest farang where you need to go or just follow all the bargirls heading to work...

A map of Nana makes little sense. There is only one small lane entrance and once inside you are enclosed on all three sides. You can see everything you need to see.
Soi Cowboy is all in one single block between Asoke Road and Soi 23. Again a map would be superfluous-- just walk up and down the street.
I take it from your question that you have never been to either locale ??
BTW--
Patpong is also one one single block ( 2 parallel streets PPI and PPII)-- The Thais try to make mongering simple for us stoopid farang !!

One time I was lost, and I did not know where I was, so I wandered into a beer bar hoping to find assistance, but instead of directions, I was sexually assaulted by the ladies in the bar.

Alright, I bow to the experienced members. I did not realize these areas were so compact. Nuff said

Yep Val, both Nana and Soi Cowboy are very compact. Once you find either you'll find all the bars therein. Getting there is easy - hop in a taxi (they're very cheap in BKK) and say "Soi Nanaaa" or "Soi Cowboy". If that taxi driver doesn't know where you want to go, the next surely will.
I also recommend staying in a hotel on Soi Nana (aka Soi 4) such as Dynasty Inn, Nana Hotel or Omni Tower (at least for your first night or two). That'll put you at ground zero and give you a chnce to find your way around. Plenty of vendors, restaurants, 7-11's and pharmacies all over too.
One word of advice - stop in and eat at the Bus Stop beer bar just down the street on Soi Nana (they have a blue/pink neon sign). Good food, they always have the fans on to provide a breeze, nice atmosphere and there's always a nice selection of ladies looking for company.
