Third floor of Nana Plaza on lefthand side past two doors which both lead to Hollywood Strip. Appears related as choreographed dancers rotate between two places.

Place is very small but packed as lineup is good. Stairs on immediate right as you walk in lead to small balcony which provides excellent view of stage and activity below if you can find a seat. By sitting in balcony, also easier to avoid being hasseled by unattractive dancer.

My favorite there is Plaa. Slender girl, very nice. Anyone seen her there recently?

My suggestions it that anyone who visits Nana Plaza is missing out if they do not pay a visit to Hollywood Strip and Dave the Rave.

Over the last couple of years Hollywood Carousel has been the most consistent in terms of top quality talent in NEP. Huge bar with plenty of girls always many newly arrived it seems.
Rainbow II may have more spinners but who can sit thru the smoke screen put up by the Japanese crowds.

Thanks for the welcome. Basically with all the restrictions upon the BKK bars like full bikinis and 1am closing, we have to try to create new ideas. BKK residents are very cultured and don't forget "Private Dancer" by Steve Leather is a cult classic set in the BKK bars. what a lot of people don't realise is it's based on a true story. Some reviewers like Bernard Trink think everybody should read it before intending to hit the BKK bar scene. "Private Dancer" is all about bargirls and their relationships with farangs. One other good reason I hosted a "Private Dancer" book launch was that 120 guys turned up and spent a fortune. Don't worry these events with authors don't happen that often. However, you can learn a lot from "Private Dancer" because the unique style of the book gives everybodies view. What is so often NOT talked about is the pooyings viewpoint. This book is hardcore ask Khun Sean.

Regarding personalities such as bar manager "Tricky Ricky", if you get to know a bar boss you often get treated well. Most good bosses know the girls well too, some like Ricky are like "Pappasans" who can help you. Some guys are shy to ask about sex but feel more comfortable talking to a Western manager. I know my girls quite well and often assist mongers, especially if they know me well or the bar is very busy. A lot of BKK ex-pats like a good host, most people do like to feel appreciated as a customer. Have a good host who makes people welcome and you can make friends for life.

Hello Club Hombre Members,

They call me "Dave The Rave" and for approaching 6 years I have been the General Manager of Hollywood Carousel & Hollywood Strip go-go bars. Situated on the top floor of Nana Entertainment Plaza, the smaller of the twin bars was fully renovated just over a year ago. Previously she was somewhat dark and dingy, but now with a more spacious design with warm, colourful lighting Hollywood Strip is bright, cosy and inviting. Two new carousels
(rotating go-go stages) have been installed, along with marble topped tables, which are complimented by spacious and very comfortable sofa seats. We endeavour to create a lively, fun party atmosphere where the DJ plays good Western music, rather than the trashy techno in so many Thai bars. The pole dancers are encouraged to really go-go dance in a raunchy and lively way; we certainly don't encourage the "shuffle squad!"

I run a "Happy Hour" where all regular beers and spirits are only 95 baht(standard price is 125 baht). From 7.30pm until 9.30pm customers
can enjoy 95 baht drinks, which makes us the only large go-go bar in Nana Plaza hosting a deal like this. In addition we pride ourselves on our lovely Hollywood girls and we always try to maintain a very high standard of very attractive girls. Although nudity has been outlawed by the authorities and bikinis have to
be worn (all bars in Nana), there are nightly shows where we feature "exotic erotic."

The Hollywood Strip is my fave bar in Nana these days. Very large, air conditioned, I find the waitresses to be cuter than the dancers, though.

I see how you got your name, you are everywhere! Ex, I have to say that you are right about Hollywood Carousel. Some of the waitresses are real babes, but some are more attractive than most of the Dancers. With all these restrictions from the authorities it is harder to get new go-go babes these days.

So, please answer this question: why are some of the girls only waitresses? Is it because they are too shy to dance, is there more money in waitressing, how does this work?

It is the girls own decision, some say they are shy,so they want to be "service" yet some are just great operators without having to get into a bikini. Some waitresses are absolute horrors in many bars, I wanted to break away from the norm. In other bar areas like Patpong some waitresses are just fat old stinkers who hassle and beg for tips. I certainly will not tolerate this abuse, so I try to hire honeys'. Some waitresses are more experienced bargirls than go-go girls but they tease the guy. Waitresses in a mini shirt can be a real turn on and customers love the chase if they play hard to get.

You'd be surprised what "baggage" a waitress uniform can hide...

Yes Ex, Epi is spot on. I saw one waitress from Hollywood Carousel getting changed and she had an ass like two beach balls! Some service girls are married or divorced with kids and don't have the body to be a go-go dancer. Some cute ones have a jealous boyfriend who won't let them dance. Therefore there are various reasons why girls want to be waitresses.

The pay is usually the lowest out of all staff. Most bars only pay 3,000 to 4,000 baht salary to a waitress, but they get a share of the tips nightly unless they are OFF. (NB."OFF" is bar talk for "barfined").

Some service girls are VERY street smart because they know they have constant contact with the customers. No time waisted having to dance you see, so this means MUCH more time to pull a punter. Take it from me guys, some service girls get more OFFS than go-go dancers.

I agree with you 100% some of the waitresses are really sweet in Hollywood Strip and Carousel. Never have I had extra charges on my drink tap which seems to happen all the time in Patpong. I seldom go down there anymore and why should I really. Why deal with being slighted all the time. Obviouly the way you manage your bar the girls understand there is no playing around with the tab.

Regards Patpong, I am bewildered why CH Members still think Patpong is a cool place to go. This is how naive newbies think! Most bars are rip-off joints (as the wise know) and many fools don't realise that, because sadly they come from sad, lonely little worlds far away from reality.
Meanwhile the smart guys hit Cowboy and Nana and they are busy having a great time.

Compared to it's sister bar 'Carousel' This bar doesn't have the number of hotties. I did get a vibe that the girls here are performers. As I was enjoying a drink here noticed a few girls 'dirty dancing', simulating oral with a bottle, as well as numerous facial gestures.

They have a decent lesbian shower show. I fell in love with one of the performers. Oh my she is hot.

Although overall I like the 'sister' Carousel bar better. This bar can be alot of fun.

Walkingdude, again you are spot on. Carousel (big bar) has the glamour and that's what you obviously like. I am pleased you had a good time in Hollywood Strip (smaller bar) because I have spent the last few months working on that wild, party atmosphere. No good having both bars the same style that would be boring. What more can I say because the Hollywood Bars are my babies!

although I've spent vastly more time in carousel, I am starting to prefer the atmosphere of hollywood to carousel. Atmosphere and attitude make or break a bar IMHO and this bar is heading in the right direction for sure.

Hi Guys its Bahtman and Im in Thailand and having a great time. Club Hombre members get a look inside Hollywood 2 agogo via Bahtvision. You Guys gotta come see Dave the Raves place the girls are smokin HOT! He keeps both bars running like fine sports cars and has rolled out the red carpet to Club Hombre members. He loves the girls as much as we do and I think thats why the place works so well.

If you come to town just go in the bar and ask for Dave. You'll be glad you did.

Hi Epi, it will be great to meet you and I look forward to that. Regarding taking photos in the bar, I use Khun Sean, Bahtman and there's also me. Too many photographers will start to annoy the BG's and that is the last thing we all need. In all due respect we are onto something good so I don't want to spoil it. However if a BG agrees to photos in your room that's different.
