So in my first post I kinda described a little about 588, and other posts here have described different options. This post is intended to provide a context or outline of all the different options available to you.
But first let me provide some background info. I've been living in korea for about 2 years now so I've had a chance to taste just about everything that I want, but I've steered clear of options that seem distasteful to me (too old, too ugly, too expensive, too sketchy). Also, I look asian, so I can't really comment on how each place will react to foreigners, but I'm sure some courtesy on your part (or money) will open a lot of doors. Otherwise, go out with your korean contacts and they can take you anywhere you want.
I'll go out and take some pictures so you can see what I'm talking about.
There are probably more working girls per capita is Seoul than any other place I've been to. The market is just huge! And so the variety and range of prices are astounding. Price will always depend on what kind of service is offered and how pretty the girls are. Let's start from the cheapest options and work our way up.
1. Red light districts. 30,000-180,000 won (30$ USD - 180$ as I write this the exchange rate is 1 USD for 1000 KRW)
2. Coffee Houses. drinks are 1-2$ service is 30-90
3. Love bar/Juicy bars drinks are 5-10$ service is 30$-400$
4. Barber shops $50-$120
5. Sports Massage $60-$200
6. Call Girls $60-$200
7. Cabaret (price unknown)
8. Massage Parlour $100-$200
9. Karaeoke/club $100-$500
10. Booking clubs * $50-$300
11. Room Salons 200-thousands
12. Kisaeng house 300-thousands and thousands
13. Talent - tens of thousands and more
When I have time I'll update this post with detailed descriptions of each (as much as I can)
