On Soi Pattayaland 2, directly below the Penthouse Hotel. Always good to find an early opening bar, and this place had a good dozen girls before 3 PM, not sure when official opening is. There were at least a couple other places open on this street in the mid-afternoon as well. Good news for those pissed off over Tahitian Queens' jacked up barfines.

When staying at the Penthouse Hotel's Penthouse (not sure about other rooms there) girls can be seen via closed circuit TV and ordered up by number. The lineup included a couple nice spinners, and a guy in our group ended up with a half-white girl that spoke perfect English.

It used to be 10,000 baht even in BKK - inflation hits the bars ! - Mama Pum Pui at Voodoo tried that scam on me when Da left her bar and stayed with me for a few weeks . I never laughed harder in my life and she did not pursue the payment. I'm sure she would have rehired Da in a heartbeat even without the payment. Barfine must be for the fuglies.

KM, well done. I had heard a lot about this stuff in AC, but thought it was funny to see an actual SIGN in Thailand, and then to have Thai written on it was even funnier. But I'm sure someone paid one once...

This club has now quite a few new girls, based on my last year's trip. a few of them are very pretty. BF'd a chick name JUN-JUn, i told her i would called her June!!!sometimes is difficult to remenber Thai names, anyways, she was a total sweetheart and very loving. stayed with me 'til next day's noon. sorry guys, you won't find her again, she's getting married to an American guy. don't think i need to say nothing wrong of this gal. she told me that she only goes to the club to hang around with her friends; guess i was nice enough to convinced her to go out with me. Her future husband is a lucky guy, he's getting a lovely Thai girl. i know a few guys, who have married BG's not only here but in PI or Tijuana.... and some marriages don't work at the end, but, overall, most are succesfull and those guys lead happy lives together. hey!!! love have no barriers or prejudices, and that's a fact of life.///

BAR BUY OUT FEES - Khun Mor, in the BKK go-go bars "BUY OUT" or in Thai, "ser tua ork" is very common. I've known many very sort after BKK go-go girls who have paid "BUY OUT" (some multiple times) and a lot return to work after a while. It's still around 10,000 baht (more for Showgirls) and a lot of guys do pay the "BUY OUT" fee. Some guys plan on a long relationship and others just want that BG to live with them while they are in LOS. The BG pays it so she can return to the go-go bar and be welcomed with open arms. I think it is very controversial but bars have to try to keep their best BG's or they won't have a business. Top BKK Showgirls are a very valuable asset, so if the guy wants the Showgirl he has to pay the "BUY OUT" fee. Similar to an Escort Agency in that if you want the girl you have got to pay the fee. I agree that an experienced monger won't need to pay it because he can just pick any BG he wants. "BUY OUTS" are usually for the top end BG's who care about working in a good bar, and therefore pay the "BUY OUT" fee to please the Boss.

REGARDING BARFINES - Some of the BKK bars are very strict on people cheating barfines, and BG's can be cut as much as 2,000 baht! Bar Bosses know that many people don't want to pay barfines but if the BG is caught she is cut out of her salary. Without barfines some bars would go out of business. Would an Escort Agency have any business if every guy was making free appointments?

I agree that from the bar standpoint the buyout fee is important but how do you enforce it with the superstars?
You have met Da and know what she looks like. Are you going to tell me that if she disappeared with her current ATM for a few months without paying the fee that she would not be hired back quickly with no fees deducted as "punishment " ? An average girl likely would not have the same luxury but the stunners have a job waiting for them at their whim I believe.If not at their last bar then there are a few others to compete.

The daily barfine is a different story. I can see why those cheating the bars out of them can be liable to some type of retribution- Now they are directly deducting from the bar's bottom line . That is a wholly different situation.

I have a feeling the mamasan gets a nice chunk of the buy out fee which is done in the PI as well. I think its a scam. I can understand the bar owners perspective but the girls are employees and can pretty much work where they want. I have rarely heard of a girl getting blackballed from any group of bars.
I also completely agree with KM on this one. If the girl is a stunner, the buy out is unnecessary. The bars are all clamoring for hot girls and they are a commodity. The girl has the power in that situation. Now a girl who gets ocassionally barfined because she is older, not so attractive, etc.....a buy out might be a good move on her part because she might not be hired elsewhere and has built up some goodwill at her particular bar. This might be the case at Kitten Club which normally has subpar girls but gets the total newbie crowd that stays at Penthouse or in one of the guesthouses on the street.

Hi Blazers & Khun Mor, like I said I think the "BUY OUT" is very controversial and you are right it cannot be enforced on the Superstars. However I know some very loyal BG's who insist that their customers pay the "BUY OUT" or they won't stop work. Of course BG's stop work to stay with "boyfriends" all the time and we used to accept this. I used to say, OK go and stay with your "boyfriend" but don't come to the bar with him please. Of course if you piss off your best BG's they go to another bar. We used to get Crown Group BG's join us all the time because they didn't want to go back to their old bars, so these places lost out to stupid rules. Basically I would see BG's come and go all the time, but as a Bar Boss you learn to be blind in one eye and deaf in one ear!

Yes Blazers, there is a cut for the Mamasans in some bars. In one bar both the BG and the Mamasan get a small cut of the "BUY OUT" for being honest and paying it. In "Cheap Charlie City" (Pattaya) bars are lucky if some of the customers buy lady drinks and barfines, let alone "BUY OUT" they would laugh in your face.

I just wanted to let everyone know that this is a scam bar. Always, always, ask them for the price of your drink up front. They are charging steep fines and do not put the prices in your bill bucket. They'll put the drinks that you ordered with a receipt, but the receipt has no price. You'll be in shock when you check out if you don't ask for the price beforehand. They will also try to distract you from your bar bill by sending topless half naked women to your location.

Haven't heard of this scam Catinflas is talking about. Not a good lineup here the other night. Had a some cute 'hello' girls outside trying to lure customers in. I do like the outfits they wear. White thigh highs with white mini skirts. I took a girl out of here in the past and had her keep most of her uniform on.

At the present time not worth a visit. Saw 1 or 2 cute girls besides the one hot 'hello' girl. Unfortunately I spied 3 Katooeys working here as well. So beware upon arrival.

Had a few drinks their on my last trip, about ten days ago, to Pattaya. The selection was lousy but the only scam running was the old buy a BHT100.00 raffle ticket and win a BHT10.00 prize although Pete 1 did win a bottle of champagne I won a key ring. I didn’t notice any LB there but the place has gone down hill over the last few years.

Hi Redbus, I have the inside scoop on this one as John "Jacko" is my mate. I met Jacko in Pattaya in 1988 when he was running the three Baby Go-Go bars. Great guy from the UK. Jacko told me that thay are underway with the construction of EDEN CLUB in Pattaya. It will take 2-3 months from now for completion and will operate to the same format as BKK. It will be located around the corner from Lólita's in SOI LK METRO. Jacko will be moving on to better things very soon.

Khun Mor, they have renovated the rooms in Penthouse, but now the cheapest starts at 1,050 baht. Very steep for this venue and location. My friend reported having a terrible problem with an aircon unit and nothing was done. 100 wild horses couldn't drag him back to this dump LOL!

KITTEN CLUB has had some serious problems in the past, with the "padding" of customers bills being the most noticable. They have had reported incidents of substance abuse (say no more) and this does not impress the authorities! I agree with Khun Mor that the owner has done nothing to improve KITTEN CLUB or PENTHOUSE HOTEL. (While rooms have been renovated the service still sucks!). A much better option on Soi Pattaland 2 would be to visit MISTYS. Ran by Andy MISTYS is one go-go bar that opens late afternoon/early evening. Well worth a visit in comparison to KITTEN CLUB.

On top of which, the prices at the Kitten Club are the very highest I've found in Pattaya. I don't mind paying extra in a top-notch venue loaded with attractive women, like Club Boesche. But 150 baht for a black label in the Kitten Club, where the women, in general, are well below average, is really taking the piss.

Manos, once again an excellent observation. It is quite remarkable that some bars in Pattaya (formerly cheap charlie city), now charge more than Bangkok. Extraordinary! CLUB BOESCHE is light years ahead of KITTEN CLUB in term of awesome talent. I'm sure the guys appreciate that we have you on the ground in LOS. It's a dirty job, but Agent Manos is the man LOL!

Redbus, we will have to see how EDEN CLUB in Pattaya goes. Like any new venture please give them time. They are not just opening a new establishment, but it is in PATTAYA! Going from BKK to Pattaya is a very different business environment. Pattaya is extremely price sensitive (cheap charlie city), and training Pattaya girls is a much harder task. The new EDEN CLUB will not come without its challenges.

Both BKK Lólita's and ANGELWITCH make far more money than they could ever make in PATTAYA. These are two perfect examples. For the CH mongers, I hope EDEN CLUB lives up to its expectations. BTW, Jacko has a ton of "practical" experience in BKK EDEN CLUB. I think Jacko has boned everything in that place LOL!

Dave I think I remember Jacko at Super Baby from way back when - before the Japanese tourists even knew Pattaya existed.
If he is who I am thinking of,he is a very good bar manager. Super Baby used to be a much friendlier place and even though the girls were just as stunning(perhaps even more so)back then -they actually realized their shit did have some aroma.

I used to spend hours in Superbaby holding court in the big corner booth. The girls would come off the stage nude and many would take quite some time to get their bikinis back on. You could get a lot of mileage out of a few lady drinks in that corner booth. Now the girls run off the stage and into to the back room dressing very quickly. I had several longer term relationships with SB girls back then . Now the bar is hardly conducive to that kind of thing.

Eden Pattaya will be on my to do list for sure .

The lineup wasn't as bad as last year but only a few nice ones about.

They did some renovation and added a jacuzzi tub in the back where the second pool table was. Two fairly hot girls in the jacuzzi at my time of arrival. Later in the evening some guy took off all his clothes and joined the girls in the tub.

The jacuzzi tub is just like what Club Boesche has but not as much attention to it as it is in the back of the place.

This place is called now Catz a go go; hate to say it but is a wasteland now. since the owner of the penthouse hotel did some serious renovation years ago, it did destroyed the original set up in the club and added another club (obssesions), then to make things worse, this other club was flooded with lady boys and the catz club was getting inundated with lady boys too!!!
Nowadays, unless you are into ladyboys, by all means go there but do not expect real women or nice girls no more.
I did stay here a few times but now you can forget me stepping into that hotel and club!! off limits in my book. truly sad becuase this was a place that has been around for a long time since my initials forays to Pattaya.
