Very quiet in here last night and the music was blaring. I counted about 7 girls working.

Mano and I walked in here last night. Mamasan brought a cute girl ,who was new to the business, over to Mano. She didn't know where to go on the dancing stage, was extremely shy, and spoke no English.

They may have to do what the Pattaya Electric Blue did. Change to a disco.

This place has been mismanaged from the start I believe. Every time I have gone in there the "music" is about 100 decibels too high and the girls are bored silly - most not even dancing.
It has a crappy location on Patpong II so you gotta do something to generate word of mouth business- like hire decent dancers. Something I think they have never done.
Been many discos in the Patpong area and most go belly up - they would be just another one I'm sure. Actually the best discos around there are on Patpong III --the gay street. The discos are hetero friendly though and largely Thai oriented. Can be a lot of fun.

KM & WD, this place sure is a disaster! The owner is of Doll House & Electric Blue disasters in Pattaya. They should be renamed Disaster Inc! I heard the guy was saying it was going to have a unique theme upstairs like really raunchy shows. The Thais on PP are not going to allow a farang to have any advantage at all down there. You're right another lost cause, but they were full of hype when the new manager took over. It will all end in tears yet again.

When this place first re-opened, it was, in a word, terrible. It is now one of the better bars on the Pong. One of my friends reckons it's the best gogo in Bangkok. While I think his assessment is overly generous, it is a damned good gogo, as of the current writing. If you get there early enough, there are often 2-3 extremely attractive (albeit attitude heavy) women working the poles. And, their standard lineup is littered with above average dancers and few, if any, total nightmares. They also have an extensive girly cocktail menu, if that's your thing. Over the last couple of months, this has certainly evolved into one of the better venues on Patpong...although I still narrowly prefer KC I, II and Camelot Castle, only because they have, to my eye, marginally more stunners, on most evenings.

sure enough, the girl comes back in, gets undressed and goes back up on the stage. the whole deal was a giant facade in order to get us to buy one more round of beers. we'd already had two rounds (six drinks) plus i bought the mamasan a drink. no lady drinks purchased. when i told the mamasan i was well aware of what just happened (we didn't buy the extra round), she just kind of smirked and gave me the old, this is thailand and you are a foreigner so go fuck yourself. i wasn't in angry mode or anything, i used a very casual non confrontational manner in this talk.

i don't think many guys bother to go to patpong but if you do and enter electric blue, be aware. i know stickman writes frequently about this place being a good bar, etc... but i have a feeling he may be prejudiced due to friendship with the owner.

I gave up on them when they raised their regular barfine to 1000 baht. They are a prime example of everything that is wrong with the gogo scene in Bangkok these days.
