Bacolad City is probably one of the major destinations of Negros. I went there a couple years ago and have a trip report posted. I stayed in Sugarland Hotel and the rate was around P1,000 for a very nice room.Downtown had some KTV bars, nothing special at all. I didn't make it to the beach when I was there, my loss so I hear. Sugar cane fields grow like corn fields.

Spent roughly 2 weeks in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental Philippines. Goldenfield Complex, 2 km's south of Bacolod City is where most of the nightime entertainment exists. Avoid the dancer bar establishments in this area as you will be approached by more pimps than you can handle once you walk near Chicken Alley and can grab a girl for roughly 1,000 to 1,500 piso's.
There are 3 discos...2 in Goldenfield complex and 1 disco on the 2nd floor in Mayfair Plaza on Lacson st and 12th st. There are no girls to pick up at the discos...period. I also traveled extensively around the town and generally did not find the women to be very friendly in this region.
Come to Bacolod City only if you have a GF here...other than that...get to Cebu City as fast as you can my fellow mongers...!!!

visited several small towns on the island by bus. beaches aint special but young civilians friendly & attractive for pinays...
