Not sure when this place opens, but it's open after hours (after 2 am) and is a stop for many people after other bars clothes, including some working ladies. I've gone there a few times with my TG after barhopping, and before going to Phetchaburi 45 (which doesn't get going until 3 am) because it's pretty busy starting at 2 am. The downside is that the drinks are pricey (as I recall, I paid 250 baht for a Black Label), it's outside on a rooftop, so rather warm on summer nights, and the music wasn't that great. Not a lot of dancing, more mingling but might be a place to pick up a lady after hours as there were many working gals there. I've only been there with my TG so that wasn't an option for me, but lots of farangs and thai women hanging out there. I'm not sure how late they are open either as I've never stayed past 3 am.

A complete shithole compared to Sin Club. I wouldn't waste your time. Owned by an unpopular Arab who tried to get Sin Club closed down. I was in Sin Club again last night and it was packed as usual. A lot of lovely girls too. As Wicked Willy will confirm this place is a class above the rest.

the last 3 times i went to Sin Club the cops closed it down at 2:30am... this was a couple months ago tho

Kmanrox, things can change very quickly here in LOS as you probably know. Sin have the OK to stay open very late (5-6am at the moment). Also Angels Disco have been granted 3am...

Where is Sin club at?

Down Soi Nana just past Bus Stop. Go into the Raja Hotel parking lot ( by the new 7-Eleven on the corner) and it's located on the right in the same building as the pool hall.

I'd have to agree with Dave that Sin Club is much better than Josephine Disco, which does basically suck, but provides an alternative way station to other late night venues. Action in Sin Club has always been better when I've been in there, but never stayed until the wee hours before.

Sojourner and Redbus

You both post like this is a place we should check out with " Plenty of freelancers after bars close " and "lots of farang and Thai women hanging out there ". When Dave calls you on it and reveals this place is a shithole suddenly Redbus admits " there was no woman there " and Sojourner says it really does suck !

It would be nice if honest helpful info could be posted . Were either of you ever really there ?? Why would you want to steer us to a place that really does suck and has no women ??

KM, I've been there and it does suck! BTW Angel's Disco in Nana Hotel are doing a great trade, always has been busy and now they are ope until 3am. Plenty of freelancers available in there. Failing that there's Nana Hotel Cocktail Lounge (open until 4am),Nana Hotel parking lot, and then Sin until 6am. No need to even bother wasting time by going to Josephine's.

Dave, what is your opinion of Sin Club and how does it compare to Angel's? I rather not waste my time if it is indeed not all that or about the same.

My opinion is that Sin is a class above Angels, I like the place better, the music is superior and the girls hotter. I have been to Angels a good few times and always have left alone and early. Sin, I have been to Sin three times and have come away very late after some great dancing and in the company of some wild and hot ladies. Just my opinion though!

Concarne, I tried to reply yesterday but had Internet trouble. Grrrr! Just when you have typed something out too! Anyway, there are many freelancers available in Angel's Disco and it's a much bigger place than Sin too. Angel's is now open until 3am, then there's the Nana Hotel cocktail lounge, and then the freelancers spill out into the parking lot after 3am. Sin is a trendy club which is certainly not for everybody. Just lately the numbers of men is increasing, you know John Travolta poser types! I've gone off the place; they charge everybody 200 baht to go in, even the working girls. I don't agree to this policy and this is why there is a larger number of men.

Wicked Willy, due to finantial pressures this place isn't as good as when you were here last. The police are taking a huge chunk of cash for them to remain open until 6am. Therefore charging the girls too has resulted in less women and more men frequenting Sin. Also WW you are a great dancer and not ever monger is a budding John Travolta!

Thats a great shame, I loved the place and was praying it would not change. I will keep a keen eye on the situation there.

Concarne, keep an open mind and judge these places for yourself. Everybody has varying tastes but I know 100% I'm not into men, and Sin has more than its share of guys!

If you reread my posts, I don't think I contradicted myself, I never said the place was great, and didn't promise you'd find your next love there... I did say "Not a lot of dancing, more mingling but MIGHT (caps added this time) be a place to pick up a lady after hours as there were many working gals there." and there WERE a lot of working gals there when I've been there. But as I said, the music was lousy, and the drinks were pricey, so yeah, it sucks, but you CAN find working women there if you have the urge after hours.

There are limited options around for after hour bars, and lots of guys come in from the states and don't get to the bars from the airport until around closing times their first night in. Hopefully, posts like this will broaden the options for guys in this situation, even though both you and I, as frequent guests in the LOS, undoubtedly have our own preferred sources for ladies. As you should know, these venues are always changing. I think the purpose of this board is to let people know what's out there as well as provide a critique, good, bad or mixed.

Sojourner, if you are a seasoned visitor of LOS like you say you are then you should know all the late night drinking establishments. Josephines is for the naive newbies, everybody who lives here knows this. It's owned by arrogant Arabs and won't improve anytime soon! If the scene changes KM and others like myself will inform the board. KM knows some great late night venues - you discover one shithole and we are supposed to be impressed?

You have a generally positive tone about the place except for high drink prices and bad music- what's different about that compared to most Thai bars ? You mention there are lots of Thai women hanging around and the place is very busy after 2AM. What you did not mention or possibly know is there are relatively few Thai women most nights and the ones there are mostly old fat sow sows not the sao saos most of us are looking for.

Reading your post either you have never been there or your tastes are more like Masterbates than virtually every other dude ever wanting to go to Thailand .

I have no personal problem with you . I have never met you obviously. I just wonder why you would even mention this place other than to warn everyone to avoid it - not bring it up as a viable alternative for late night hoy hunting. I truly think this is one place that in it's short existence has NEVER changed. It's been a pig sty from day one and continues to be so as others have attested to.

Here, here, Khun Mor! Yep, pretty much says it all. Currently the police are closing Nana Plaza quite early but guys can go to Angels Disco, who have been closing as late as 3am. Lumpini police are on a bit of a clampdown, but hopefully closing times should loosen up soon from the information we have received.

I was only trying to inform people about another option, that some people, although clearly not the two of you, MIGHT be interested in, allowing for other opinions. Clearly, you guys have been there a lot more than I have because you assert you know it better and wish to convey that no one should even consider the place.

Yes, Dave, I'm a frequent visitor to Thailand, and in fact just got back to the states Wednesday and am heading back to Bangkok the day after Christmas. I'm sorry if I'm not the frequent poster in this place that you guys are. As I think I may have implied, I'm not as heavy a monger when I'm in Thailand as you two appear to be because I have a TG that I'm quite happy with (in fact she's the one who first took me to Josephine's with her friends, some of whom are definitely lookers,... so much for only seeing old fat sows.) Having said that, I have been there only 2 or 3 times I think, and tending to stick with what I like, I haven't included that place in my habitual watering holes list precisely because I wasn't particularly impressed with it for the reasons stated. If saying there is lousy music and expensive drinks but lots of working women is a positive 'review' to you then I guess I plead guilty. Do I know all the late night venues? Well no, I'm a creature of habit and don't necessarily explore a lot beyond my own favorites. But if you refer to my March 2004 post in the Afterhours Discussion, you'll note that I did identify a latenight venue that Khun Mor didn't know about either (Phetchaburi 45), yet I'm not implying that he's bs-ing us about being a seasoned visitor as you have suggested with me.

The fact that I have been in there when there were a lot of women and there weren't many when you were there doesn't invalidate my observation. As I just stated, I've been there maybe 2 or 3 times, but I wouldn't presume to say that that means there are always a bunch of women there on the many nights I've never been there. Yes, I started this thread, as I also first posted about Phetchaburi 45, simply because I observed that there was very little posted here about After Hours bars and was hoping to fill the void and perhaps stimulate comments from others about other places. Clearly I've done that. I'm happy you've both shared your experiences about Sin, I had forgotten about that one, and glad to hear you know of many other late venues, but why not now share those in this section of the board? As for my tastes, you don't know them, since I didn't say anything about what I do consider good looking.

Having said this, and in the interest of promoting good will on the board, I'd be happy to extend my hand to either of you and share my experiences over a beer, my treat, and perhaps show you what my tastes really are!. Drop me a private message, and we can either get together or exchange thai numbers if you'd like. In the meantime, if you want to label this place a shithole, I'll defer to your greater experience, and other readers can do what they will with all the information here.
