I've never heard of the Stable Lodge Hotel. Where in Bangkok is it located?

Rasta,
Read your comment on my "Fresh of the Boat" Cambodia trip report. Thanks for the compliments. I should write a final chapter to that report because things really turned around and got good for me in Phomn Phen after I contacted the driver that had been recomended to me. Good to have some one in your corner. ( Mr. Ben Wee ... benweekh@yahoo.com )
Angkor Waht is worth the trip and there is night life, you just have to scratch around abit. Phomn Phen girls are cheap, plentiful with many good lookers ... you can easily make up for any slack time you had visiting Angkor (siem reap) once you get to Phomn. K-11 and the whore, er I mean MASSAGE houses in town were just alittle bit too "wham bam thank you mam" for me. I enjoyed Sharky's and my favorite was Martini's in Phomn Phen.
Get ahold of Ben Wee and he will drive for you and give you the scoop on everything.
Hope you enjoy your self!!!

Thanks McDIJJ, I will take your recommendations for a driver for my first trip. - Rasta
P.S. If the "final chapter" you mentioned ever gets authored, let me know so I can read it.

Stable lodge is at Suk Soi 8 almost opposite The Promenade. Quiet soi cause dead end. Haven't stayed there but seems to be ok. Give it a try. Girl-friendly.

I stayed at the stable lodge hotel last year.
It's guest friendly but girls have to leave there
ID-card at the reception. The staff is friendly and helpfull (reconfirming flight tickets)
Rooms are clean ,some are a little small.
Price is about 1200B/night (breakfast not included)

I just returned from a trip to Thailand during which I stayed at the Stable Lodge Hotel. I have stayed here many times over the past several years. It is currently undergoing some renovation so can be noisy during the day. The address is 39 Sukhumvit Soi 8, Sukhumvit Rd. Klongtoey, Bangkok 10110. It is a small hotel with relatively small rooms nicely furnished. The cost is about 1500-1700 Baht depending on the season. Bangkok is getting noisier so expect some low-level street or business noise. Access to their website at //www.stablelodge.com reveals all the information. The staff is wonderfully friendly and helpful. Travel arrangements can be easily made. The restaurant has good food and service. It is guest friendly but at first the girls must leave their ID Cards at the reception. This is for your security and I appreciated it. There is close access to Sukhumvit, BTS, and a variety of night life. I highly recommend this hotel.
