There is a kind and quailty of experience available here that I did not know existed until my recent trip to Phnom Penh. If you travel to SEA and have not taken the time to go I highly reccomend it. It only got better every day. Thanks to " Epi " for showing me the way.

Hey, I recognize that bed ;-) Haven't met the lady though.

Epi had to almost be dragged to Cambodia but once he landed he clicked and mastered the place in about 15 minutes.

I can't wait to see some more Bahtman photos.

Hint taken DM, I am Sancho I understand, I think everyone that travels gets into a comfort zone and Im the worst. I find a place to monger and get it mastered and learning a new place is easy to put off. Your name came up often as Epi and I wound our way through Cambo. I met the girl below at a restaurant on the Mekong River. Six ladys came out to wait on the table and I chose this one as my dessert and took her short time in a room above the restaurant that overlooked the river.

This last August I spent a week in Cambodia with Bahtman. At the time I was too chickenshit to bring my DSLR, but Bahtman was kind enough to lend me his camera for a few pics. I grabbed this one of a nice restaurant that faces the Mekong river from the second floor of a nearby bar. I didn't have a tripod with me, so propped the camera up on my bag and prayed it wouldn't move too much in the 4 seconds required to grab this pic...

Epi: One of these days I'll probably make it to Cambodia; after having been there what is your assessment now about the risks of bringing a DSLR? For context, I haven't brought mine to Brazil given the crime there, but I don't hesitate to bring it to Thailand, Singapore, etc. And thanks for the picture!

As with ANY destination there are some areas you shouldn't walk around with a nice camera - Phnom Penh is no different. However, I've walked down the streets of this city at 2:30am with cell phones and cameras and not felt threatened. Another option that increases your safety is having a driver you trust.

I actually brought my DSLR on my third run here (along with my flashes and umbrellas) and didn't worry. You'll get to see that photographic evidence soon enough...

This is the first installment of the Cambo 2006 pics. Hung out for 4 days in PP and had an awesome time. Each time I go I think the girls are more beautiful. Ben came through again and is up for driver of the year award in cambo. Email him and let him know when you are coming, He checks email twice a day. A cell phone is a must and frees Ben up while your'e having fun. Ask him about a Cambo sim hes got one I used and I left some load on it. I met so many girls this trip that did not know any english and just called Ben and got him to do a little interpreting, another great reason to have a cell phone in Cambo. More later.

KM, I thought of you when I met the girl above and she has friends and I met them also.
I went to Cambo Karaoke and had a girl sing for about and hour while I ate and drank, she spoke no English and then I said WTF it never hurts to ask so I got Ben to talk to her and she said she stay all night for $25. I tend to take the girls back to the room even though it’s a lot more than taking them on site it gives me a chance to introduce them to the Baht, Butt, Boob, Camera….ect……not to mention the AC , Soft Bed and Shower.
These days I mostly stay away from Sharky's, Walkabout….ect. Mainly because all the girls
Are such “High Mileage”. Here’s something from the Showroom floor, never been on or off the lot until I took it for a “test drive”. There’s a LOT under the hood……
