Hi
i have seen a Fuji F450 digital camera for £ 169 sterling (11,492 baht). A couple of people advised me to wait until i am in Thailand to buy a camera, cheaper. This camera is nice and small (fit in pocket nicely), 5.2m pixels, 3 x optical zoom.
Would i get it cheaper in Thailand and where is the best place to buy this and memory cards?
I will also post this in Photography. Thanks for your help.

You will find no bargains on most electronics in Thailand due to fairly stiff inport duties . If there was a decent Thai made camera I would wait and buy it there. Of course there is no such animal.Imports are generally more expensive in Thailand than most other countries.
I presume you are in England. Is there a web site there like Pricegrabber.com that allows comparison price shopping online ? If so that would be your cheapest option. I have bought all my cameras and equipment through Pricegrabber.

Thanks for that, after i had posted message i seen old messages from a few years back in the off topic section (i think) saying the same. I will look for the website you mentioned and will buy camera before i go.
By the way I am in Northern Ireland. Thanks.

Pete: I'm not familiar with the Fuji F450, but just wanted to let you know I recently purchased the Fuji F10, and am very happy with it (after having been very unhappy with my Canon SD-500). I suspect the F10 costs a bit more, but if it is within your budget you may want to consider it. Also, in case you're uwaware of this, a very good resource for discussion of digital cameras, reviews, and so forth, is www.dpreview.com.
