I am a Brit who has been travelling around asia for the last 8 Months, spending most of my time on Java in Indonesia, and specifically Surabaya a large city in the east. Also spent some time in the capital Jakarta. as I am sure you are aware, Surabaya is famous for two reasons, firstly it has the largest shipping port in Indonesia and secondly it is home to South-east asias largest red light district. Know locally as 'Dolly' and centred around a long road called Jalan Lewat Girilaya. Dolly is in effect far more functional than anything that i have yet seen in Thailand. Girls are available by the hour, in a reasonable room for as little as 60,000Rp per hour (about $4) depending on taste time and quality wanted you can pay more than that. For example a threesome for say one and a helf hours would most likely set you back around $30 -$40. For anything more extravagant it is necessary to have the needed language skills. On the whole the girls and friendly and willing although it is not at all unusual to find girls who are clearly very young (they will always tell you different) and of course not willing. So provided you are a little careful you can have a great deal of fun. Beer is available in all the brothels as well as the dozens of dang-dut (local music) bars in the area at aroun $1 for a large bottle.

Both girls are 20yo one speak english and have a big natural boobs and red painted hair , both are slim, with the red hair have a problem, after a while I must stop because she have pain, and the use of KY cream don't help us, the size of my best friend is not the right size, she try to finish me with a BBBJ but after prefer have another session with the second girls, that seems enjoy and the neighbours are informed of this becouse she start screaming loud.
Yesterday afternoon (and now) I was in Lokasari plaza and book the Olympic Hotel 3star 210.000/day for business room, also the Prisen park Hotel is alive but look old and ruined, Olympic look like Intercontinental in Phnom-Pehn, new and with 2 big 5meter satellite dish, also yesterday went in Tiara Ceria Discotek, bad experience I can't save me from the mamasan tentacolus, get overpriced (200.000IDR) for a big girl and tiny short time room, I don't like it, ok inside there are a lot of girls and customer at 5PM Sunday is very full you can't move inside and wait 1 hour for the shorttime room, many girls are very young, I don't know if inside are all prostitute, I think not there are many groups on teenager that come inside and go to dance, after go to make a walk inside the lokasari plaza shopping mall, in the last floor there are an arcade, with a strange meccanical gambling machine (I think) and a couple of girls smile to me but I must apply the gombal's age lisp function and prefer left.

Sorry for not replying earlier, did not know my message was going public. I just signed in again after not being here for a long while and sent that message to they administrator during signup.

Look up a place called "The Palace" (I believe). It is a dance club with working girls. Tons of people and beautiful women. There were about 1,000 people there by my estimates. I could be wrong, I was kinda drunk when arrived. It has three levels with the top two only being balcony about 20 or so feet deep with booths and the like. Dark, loud music. I was with a local and can not tell you how safe it is, unfortunately. I lived, no incidents, but I had a local and a driver.

If any one in interested in Jakarta I am thinking on going again. Not to fond of going alone. I don't think that hotel is unique. I think any major hotel that offers a bar has women that are fairly easy to pick up. Not to sure if all have working girls or not.

The hotel I mentioned is not really a destination for the adult entertainment traveler and I am sure there are much better places. This place was chosen by work and it worked out nice for me.

I went for a quick trip from Singapore to Bintan Island in Indonesia.

The place I stayed at was called The Rainbow Hotel. I got a basic room (Big Bed, Cable, Bathroom, Aircon for $40 SND per night). The Hotel's driver will take you up to K24 for the afternoon (I think the rate was $7 SND per hour), this is good because the local Taxi Drivers are pretty dodgy. They offer free shuttles into town and back. Also pick you up and deliver you back to the ferry.

K24 (similar to K11) is OK, lots of houses and lots of chicks, not Thai standard, but a few diamonds can be found in the rough. At Rp50,000 for S/T, you can't complain.

To book a girl for the night goto Bintang Plaza, there quite a few KTV place you can find girls for RP 200,000 for the night.

The Club 5 disco is good, but does not warm up until late. I was the only white man in the place and attracted the of many lovelys who were all too keen to service me.

Islamic Movements Want Brothel-free Indonesia for Ramadan

By Kazi Mahmood, IOL South East Asia correspondent

KUALA LUMPUR, October 6 (IslamOnline) - The two largest Islamic movements in Indonesia has called on the authorities to ensure a brothel free month of Ramadan in order to prevent attacks by Muslim fundamentalists against such enterprises, news reports said Sunday, October 6.

Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) and Muhammadiyah have voiced support for calls to close immoral entertainment centers and brothels during the upcoming Islamic fasting month of Ramadan, a joint communiqué from the organizations said.

The two organizations said the month of Ramadan must be respected and their move shows a growing trend to ban illicit activities in the country as a whole.

East Java's capital city Surabaya is home to Indonesia's biggest brothel complex, including the infamous Dolly prostitution center. The city has many other red-light areas, where prostitutes are comparatively cheap, a local news website the Laksmana.net said.

During Ramadan, which this year starts early November, Muslims are required to abstain from eating, drinking, smoking and sexual intercourse every day from dawn until sunset.

NU executive Abdus Salam Nawawi and Muhammadiyah executive Nadjib Hamid on Friday told state news agency Antara that all immoral entertainment venues should in principle be permanently closed, not only during Ramadan.

Nawawi said the whole community's support is required if vice dens are to be shut down.

He expressed concern that some Muslims might get the wrong idea that sinful dens of iniquity are morally sound for 11 months of the year if they are only required to close during Ramadan.

Hamid said sleazy entertainment venues are partly to blame for increasing moral decay in urban areas of East Java.

He said moral decline cannot be resolved through temporary measures, but should instead be overcome through comprehensive conceptual actions.

That's why these immoral entertainment centers should be closed for ever and ever, he asserted.

On the other hand, several Front for the Defense of Islam (FPI) members were arrested on Saturday after their involvement in the attacks against night clubs and bars in Central Jakarta on Friday, October 4.

Police have arrested at least eight members of the Islamic Defense Front (FPI), while another two members of the radical group have reportedly been kidnapped by plainclothes officers.

The apprehensions come after about 600 FPI members attacked and trashed a pool hall and a nightclub in Jakarta's Chinatown area in the early hours of Friday. Plainclothes officers reportedly seized FPI operations chief Abdul Kohar and FPI special forces chief Alawy Usman in separate locations.

FPI chairman Habib Rizieq, speaking from Kalimantan, said he heard the men had been abducted by Central Jakarta Police.

They say they're being held at Central Jakarta Police precinct. But we haven't met with them yet. It's not yet clear whether they're still there or whether they've already been killed and thrown into the streets, he was quoted as saying by Detikcom online news agency.

Rizieq said police were using the tactics of former president Suharto's regime by arresting people without warrants.

"CLUB DELUXE" is located inside of the mall the highest floor on mall called TUNJUNGAN CENTRE. This places is packed with a lot of succcesful business man. This place is really costly. The girls are beautiful too. Mostly coming from Asia countries like Taiwan, Hongkong, Thailand. 80% of the girls are beautiful, you cannot go wrong with this place. However, the rates are 2,000,000 rupiah for one pop. So it is about 230 US dollar.

Hey fellows...I am trying to decide bet Indonesia, Thailand and Cambo.

Could someone list some pros and cons and maybe list a price (in US dollars) for ST/LT?

Much appreciated...

By Sf4dfish on Tuesday, December 14, 2004 - 05:29 pm:  Edit

Concarne, if your going solo and have never been to Jakarta, Indo. I think you should go to Thailand as your first choice. It is set up for mongering.

I can not vouch for Cambodia, never been there.

By Don Marco on Tuesday, December 14, 2004 - 06:29 pm:  Edit

why not do all three-- very short and cheap flights to all from bkk.

By Whoretester on Tuesday, December 14, 2004 - 06:52 pm:  Edit

Concarne,

In my experience, Indonesia (Jakarta) ST is $15, LT is $40. Bogor (2 hours south of airport) is cheaper but the girls are not as toned. Here, ST is $5, LT is $20, similar to Cambodia. This is average. There are Jakarta spots for less money but with less talent, and there are spots for alot more money (why fly 30 hours to spend $400 LT?) with international starlets who will be in your dreams for life, should you choose them. IMHO, Indonesia girls who hail from Singapore stock have the nicest combination of body and face in the entire world, bar none. Their bodies are slim, toned and breasted, with just enough ass to grab onto and faces to make you instantly hungry. I know some petite USA girls who come close in beauty, but their feminist mindsets throw them out of competition completely. But then, that's one reason we're discussing it, right? ;) Do not, I repeat, DO NOT partake of some woman's underage child. Yes, it will be offered to you in/around bordellos in this area. Walk away from it. You are forewarned.

Thailand varies between Bangkok, Chang Mai and Pattaya. Bangkok is the big city, priced accordingly, for girls and everything else. Think $40 ST and $80 LT. These are newbie prices. Once they know your face (yes, they remember, trust me), the price drops a bit, at least in Nana. Stay at the Nana Hotel (old, but close to the action) if style is not needed in lodging, or the Majestic Suites (newer but overpriced) for action with a bathtub. Chang Mai is $20 ST and $40 LT. Pattaya is the best deal of all in the LOVS (Land Of Vertical Smiles). There are so many girls in Pattaya, you can negotiate down to $15 ST and $30 LT. That is my experience. YMMV. Stay at the Renaissance Suites, a quick truck ride from the action. Very quiet, western-owned, BIG pool, buffets and it is a real suite. Thai beauties are great, but they don't have much ass on them, and me being an ass man, I like to hold onto something firm and toned when I put her where I want her. Not to say that I like fatasses or bubble butts. If I wanted that, I would plug my ears from the smartass talk and bury myself in a local modern (ewww) American woman.

Cambodia (Pnom Pehn) is the cheapest sex on the planet that I know of. $5 ST, $20 LT. Negotiable with 3 or more girls at a time (highly recommended). Don't expect AC in the ST rooms. A few stunners, but mostly just 5s-6s with nice firm and trim bodies. Not much to brag about in the face department. Hotels are overpriced for the region. When I go to PP, I stay maybe 2 days at the Intercontinental and then get out of the country, as it resembles a warzone plus thirty years. In fact, that's exactly what it is! Most girls do not like condoms... some because they don't know any better about STDs, some because they want a white baby. Wear your rain jacket, since you don't want to think about YOUR child being raised in a third-world country where, if she is a girl, you might see her working a bordello in 15 years or so. Think about it!

I encourage you to do some reading for trip reports on all of these locations. Alot of time has been donated by some talented (and motivated) writers here, so take several hours and partake.

Finally, I agree with Sf4dfish and suggest you go to Thailand first (Pattaya specifically), to get your feet (?) wet. It is a safe location, American-friendly and full of whores just waiting to be had, quite literally. The fact it is safe and friendly make it the best place to start. When you have had your fill of Pattaya (in the year 2014), the other, more exotic locations may be tempting for you. It is not as safe in Cambodia or Indonesia as it is in Thailand, mostly because of crime in Cambodia and hatred of Americans in Indonesia.

Happy mongering. Stay safe. Be aware of what is around you. And, most of all, do her hard, long and proud.

Dudes...

I am decided on going to Colombia (16 days) but Indonesia keeps pulling at me (I continue to second guess myself).

What is the situation there since the tsunami? Is the situation super grim? Are things back to normal hobby wise? Good idea to go or not? And what is the scene like from mid Dec to 1st week of New Years?

Ok so it is SEA...I will fly into BKK (already been to LOS once) and hang there for a couple of days...then the choice is for me to hit Jakarta or Cambo.

Let's say I went to Jakarta...would you guys say that 4-5 days is enough to sample plenty of the different P4P? Is it better to go to Batam than Jakarta? I would be more interested in the looks dept rather than just volume as long as the price is not dramatically different that is. Oh..and I do light sightseeing (besides looking at women)

By Mongerx on Tuesday, April 26, 2005 - 12:45 pm:  Edit

If you care about looks go to Jakarta, instead of Batam. Batam has pretty standard prices, Jakarta a widely varying prices. Jakarta prices for ST and LT roughly start at Batam prices and then go up to US prices.

4-5 days will allow you a decent sampler of the various types of venues.

When you actually get within a couple months of your vacation we can talk more.

CNN has a couple stories today about a peace treaty between the Indonesian government and ACEH rebels: http://www.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/asiapcf/08/15/aceh.peacedeal/index.html

Did ACEH ever target mongers?
Will this treaty make Indonesia a safer place to visit?
Does it open a new mongers paradise?

By Khun_mor on Tuesday, August 16, 2005 - 08:58 pm:  Edit

Yeah - Aceh targeted mongers, with Sharia law- they cut off their dicks.

This has nothing to do with the sex scene in Indonesia. That area is remote and strictly Muslim fundamentalist.

By Murasaki on Tuesday, August 16, 2005 - 09:47 pm:  Edit

It's not ACEH, it's the state of Aceh, which lies on the northern tip of the island of Sumatra. Aceh has been in a quasi-state of insurrection on and off for several decades. Foreigners have mostly been banned from traveling there for much of this time; so that, combined with local religious observation tendencies, has definitely precluded it from becoming a mongering destination. The events have had no impact on Batam and Jakarta "activities" in the past, nor will any type of treaty or collapse of a treaty have any impact in the future.

Seems like there are some problems in Indonesia now. Just read recently there was a new round of raids including one in Penjay and one in Mangga Besar.

Also read they are trying to pass a new porn law that would outlaw public displays of affection and halter tops (among other things), although there has been serious pushback on the law and it is going to be revised.

I wonder if the recent raids are just shakedowns for more payoff money or a serious effort of the Police to crack down.

Guess we'll see. Also wonder if they are snaring mongers in these raids (especially bules) or just the ladies, employees and owners. Seems to only be the ladies, employees and owners for now.

By I_am_sancho on Saturday, March 18, 2006 - 02:55 am:  Edit

I can say that as of last weekend in Surabaya there was no sign of any kind of crackdown except Extacy was more expensive and Extacy transactions were handled somewhat more covertly than previously in the discos.

The so called "porn law" is wildly unpopular with a few good Moslems I spoke with and quite frankly I sensed signs of serious backlash against more fundamentalist Moslems from several obviously more liberal Moslem local guys I spoke with. The sense I got from the local guys in the karaokes of Surabaya anyway is that there will be trouble in the streets if they try to push that particular law to far.

And as usual, despite minor Anti-American riots in Surabaya the week before I was there and minor Anti-American riots in Jakarta while I was accually in Surabaya, I was very warmly recieved by everyone I met and never felt more welcomed anywhere.

This is all very important, relevant information. Thank you gentlemen for the feedback.

Now, here is my other question: But before I ask, when roaming around the many shopping malls here, I look at the most beautiful Indonesian women, who are either shopping or walking through the shopping malls like myself, or working at the cosmetics section of any large department store.

What is the racial mixup of these exotic Indonesian women? My guess is Malaysian, or possibly Morrocan, or Japanese. When one uses the term "Asian" in say, California, we automatically assume Korean, Chinese or Filipino.

Asian descriptions here have taken on a whole new different meaning for me. I never knew the women here looked that hot. I think I really need to get out more, really need to conquer new lands....really need to stay the fuck away from Tijuana,Mexico.

I am constantly surrounded by exotic Asian beauty. And yes, the proof in the pudding will be when I submit the TR along with photos of some of these Indonesian hotties, some of whom I was able to lay!

Don't worry Blazers, I came equipped with two cameras, (In case one didn't work) two six-packs of 35 mm 24 rolls where I'm taking photos of the hotel room, girls, plus eating locations.

But don't expect to see too many pics of overweight Indonesian ladies here. Yes, while some are somewhat on the heavy side, there was one very friendly lady who, admittedly was a little chubby, absolutely refused to disrobe for the camera in my room.

Damn, I am going to keep my mouth shut or check my facts firts before I post again. That's twice in two days I've posted erroneous info on this site.

Actually, a few of the population sites list the European Union ahead of the US so I guess it depends on your data source.

Anyway, years ago while globetrotting on business, an Indonesian told me it was the third most populated country. I guess I believed him. I checked back year by year to 1980 and the US has always been ahead of Indo.

From now on guys....Just the facts!

Still, #4 ain't bad when all thing considered.

Actually Sandman, the European Union is more populous than the US, at about 360 million I believe. However, the EU is not a nation-state, which is the basis for the rankings of countries. If the EU were to qualify for consideration, then ASEAN or NAFTA would as well, and either one of them would be way past the EU.

hey moresaki...how are ya buddy?

I did a google and looked at several of the population sites. 2 of them listed the EU in their rankings. Only reason I made mention of it.

I may go back before pre 1980 and see just when Indo outranked the US. Might be around the same time the guy told me about #3 ranking.

Still, I apologize to the board for not checking my facts more closely before posting. Not like me!

I wanted to look into going in mid-2009 but I am still apprehensive about going to a Muslim country. Though we will have a new President, people around the world still hate Americans because of Bush.

Although a Muslim country, Indonesia is much more lax than others: rampant prostitution and alcohol availability. During my one brief visit, I didn't feel unwelcome. The only time I felt unsettled was when I visited their equivalent of the White House, and as part of the tour had to sit through a movie which highlighted George W. Bush visiting their White House. But as should be obvious, that this was incorporated into their tour indicates a pro-Western bias that does not exist (at least as explicitly) in many other Islamic countries.

In addition, Indonesia has been reasonably active and effective in keeping the lid on their homegrown terrorists, particularly after the Bali bombings. But I still have some concerns that were heightened by the Mumbai incidents, since this might give rise to copycats. Most particularly there are homegrown terrorists who follow the extreme Islamic terrorist agenda and would want to harm Americans. And they have threatened retaliation for the recent execution of three Bali bombers. So, although I will likely visit Jakarta in the near future, I do have some concerns but not extreme concerns.

Not an Indo vet but my philosophy is that if my destiny is to die while banging an Asian hottie -- so be it !

There are worse things I can think of.

IMO, most Indonesians I have met all over do not hate Americans. Like anywhere else, you have a small group of crackpots but neither I, nor many others, have had any problems in JKT on any trips. I (and later my friends) were there when they executed the 3 bali bombers and then a few days later they had the Mumbai attacks, the papers were certainly unfavorable to the attacks in Mumbai (calling the attackers "terrorists"). Nearly every venue in SEA will warrant vigilence these days.

The only problems are with police stopping your taxi at night and demanding bribes. Otherwise, my experience has been the same as Merlin's, including doing the relatively stupid walking around unknown neighborhoods at night looking for female adventure.

I've been carrying my passport around with me every day I've been in Indonesia this calendar year and I've used it twice as a form of ID when purchasing with a credit card. I've not been stopped by police road blocks once (knock on wood).

I also carry my passport and did not have a probl when I got stopped 1x. But crooked cops are par for the course IMO, got stopped in LOS, Cambodia, Mexico, Costa Rica....On this trip, I was taken to the smoke-filled, backroom b/c I overstayed my visa; all we did was talk about how great Barack Obama was and I was let go with a warning to get a 30 day visa next time:-) That wouldn't have happened in places like Mexico, where I've had the worst experiences w/cops.

Whither Indo DISCOS?

Music deafening, ZERO light, if you offer "X" to anyone/everyone, you'll have to beat off the nubiles with a stick?

I'm sure that MOST of us that have spent any time in Indo have good/bad/UGLY (my first pull from a Batam disco -- after my main target took my "X" money and RAN THE FUCK AWAY! -- had a face that would PEEL PAINT once extracted from the darkness and into the light and into the unforgiving cam's eye) stories, but is there still anyone here that LIKES the discos?

I DO wish jakarta would have an active disco freelancer scene like Batam. Since Jakarta is 100x greater than Batam on every OTHER scale, can anyone else imagine the sheer potential?

But Jakarta discos are totally BORING?

Ramadan Dates for the next few years, i.e. when NOT to go to Indonesia.

2009 21 August to 19 September
2010 11 August to 9 September
2011 1 August to 30 August
2012 20 July to 18 August
2013 9 July to 7 August
2014 28 June to 27 July
2015 18 June to 17 July
2016 06 June to 05 July
2017 27 May to 25 June

Although Ramadan is always on the same day of the Islamic calendar, the date on the Gregorian calendar varies from year to year, since the Gregorian calendar is a solar calendar and the Islamic calendar is a lunar calendar. This difference means Ramadan moves in the Gregorian calendar approximately 11 days every year. The date of Ramadan may also vary from country to country depending on whether the moon has been sighted or not.

I have a couple of questions I am hoping someone can answer.

The first is actually a repeat of some of the conversation above and concerns passports. From the above, it seems the police might "fine" someone who is not carrying their passport. The first question is whether a photocopy of the picture page and entry stamp will work (and the answer might be sometimes). The second, and I recall MongerX may have addressed this somewhere sometime, what type of "fine" should one pay for the infraction of not having one's passport available?

Second, unrelated question: I know at places like Hotel Travel, and probably Classic Hotel, there are "freelancers" and the regular girls all under the same roof, but usually in different parts of the room or rooms. What exactly does this distinction mean in these Indonesia places? Usually, it seems the freelancers go for a slightly higher (fixed?) rate from what I understand. Do they use the same rooms as the other "non-freelancer" girls?
It seems the non-freelancers are not under the control of a mama-san, or are they? I guess I just don't quite get the distinction and wonder if someone could explain.
