What is the Freelancer Bar all about? I have not seen any posts on CH regarding this place.

You'll find this place past most of the bars on Walking Street, not far from Tony's Disco.

I was told, but this may only be rumor, that the original intention was to make a bar that would attract freelancers, like the Soi 7 Beergarden in Bangkok. However, for whatever reason the freelancers preferred the many discos like Tony's, Marine 1 & 2, etc. The idea just didn't pan out, so they eventually used a mamasan and staffed the place with "hostesses".

They've run a moderately successful message board for many years and a large of number of expats call the place home base. Board members meet every Sunday and many consider it the perfect meeting place to warm up before doing a bar crawl. I've met a number of other mongers here that were good guys and very helpful, many with several years of experience in Thailand, or more.

Most of the girls are not as hot as in the gogo bars, but they are very friendly and make good company. They used to have a short-time room there, but I'm not sure about that anymore. FB falls somewhere between a beer bar and gogo. It's indoors with A/C, they don't have dancers on stage but there are frequent parties that feature sexy dance contests, and it's very laid back and reasonably priced like the beer bars.

The FLB bar is lokated in the middel of the walking street , and it is one off the few bares that got AC. The price to buy a girl free is 400b , but there is alot off nice gilrs. They have live music every night. This place is worth a visit

Hmmm...These pictures on the link above have been heavily worked over with PhotoShop. I will be interesting to see what some of themlook like in person. Your right though Athos, Pupay does look yummy!

The girls there are fun and personable, a few are even decent looking . Anyone going there expecting a trophy will be disappointed though. For the most part the girls are fairly plain,a bit on the heavy side for Thai pooying, and older than their go go counterparts. Few if any young spinners here. For a long time the mamasan was the hottest pooying in the place. Have not been there in about 6 months so it may be different now, but I doubt it.
It's a great place to sit, have a drink or two, and talk for a bit prior to heading out for some serious mongering as the decibel level is low enough for actual conversation. The girls are pleasant company but I have never found one I was tempted to barfine. Check it out - everyone has his own taste in flesh. My bowser may be your dream girl.

I hate Photoshop

I hit this place early before the go go's were open. This place opens at 7pm. Nice place to have a drink and converse with a girl or two before heading out. There were some fairly nice girls mixed into the bunch. I counted around 15 girls here. This place is exactly like Khun Mor posted in March. Hasn't changed a bit.

I did meet and drink with a girl who later I found out had a identical twin sister working at the same bar. Mmm twins.

are there any FLB Bar regulars going to be in pattaya around november 9-23 2005 ??? This will be my first trip to thailand and I want to visit this club with a regular customer who is known by the staff
