This hotel is very close to the Ferry Terminal. I didn't know anything about this hotel in advance, but it was recommended by the travel agency I used, Coral Travel Company. (Random pick from the Shun Tak Centre in Hong Kong)
I purchased a combination Ferry/Hotel package, but I can't find my notes with the exact price. I believe it was in the range of 400 HKD, or about $50 USD. I only stayed one night since I didn't know anything about it and didn't have information on other hotels besides Lisboa which was significantly more. I don't know if I could have prepaid for additional nights at the rate, but if possible this seems a good idea for a much better rate.
There was supposed to be a shuttle from the hotel, but I didn't see one after waiting fifteen minutes so I broke down and paid a private cab to take me the short distance. I didn't know what an appropriate price was and ended up getting worked. I'll leave taxi advice from the terminal to others.
The room was very nice for the price I paid and there was a sauna in the hotel, but I didn't get to look at the selection. Prices were in-line with other hotels, in the 1300 MOP/HKD range. ($160 USD)
There were two good things about the location. 1) It was only a couple blocks from Darling Massage, one of the more popular massage parlors. 2) It is very close to the ferry terminal.
Being around the block from a 24/hr Icafe would have been a plus if they didn't utilize a heavy censorship filter that blocked CH and other adult sites. I supposed you could check email at least.
There were also few restuarants nearby with the exception of those in hotels/casinos and local ones with signs and menus in Chinese.
Casa Real is not a bad place to stay as part of a package deal, but I'd rather stay at a hotel near the Lisboa for convenience or on the west side for price. I ended up spending the next three nights at East Asia for only 270 HKD/MOP per night. ($35 USD)
