Grand Hyatt - 1 Harbor Road, On the HongKong Island has grand lobby with classic
al staircases and marble all over. The rooms are modern and updated for the current business needs. The bars and restaurants are dark and
seating plush. It still tries to evoke the old Raj era, with high-tea, and continental menus etc.
Seperate elevators for Hyatt elite with rooms on the higher floors.
http://hongkong.hyatt.com/hkggh/index.html Guests are allowed in. As
with most Hyatt's in Asia, the service is impeccable for goldpassport
members. In fact without even asking I've been upgraded at many
locations. If there are no specials, do send email directly to the
hotel, there might be unpublished rates available.

We put up our CEO there when he came out to visit Asia- got him upgraded to the Presidential Suite- it must have been over 1500 sq ft, impeccably furnished- nicest hotel room I've ever seen. And I believe that the Grand Hyatt is the best hotel in Hong Kong- better than the Peninsula or the Mandarin Oriental. Best pool in Hong Kong as well- an outdoor pool on the 12th floor, shared with the hotel next door.
But this board is not about hotels, it's about action! And there is action at the Grand Hyatt- JJ's, one of the more popular discos is attached to the hotel, though it has a separate entrance. Supposedly this is where the high class white hookers hang out in Hong Kong. I've never actually picked up there, but often thought that some of the single cuties at the bar were working girls...

About JJ. In my trip report -- I could not get a good read of where the action was.
